This breaks my heart. I'm Chinese, and normally I'd be siding with the animal lovers, but I am so sick and tired of Americans bashing on the country. Okay, some areas do eat kittens that you keep as pets. What if we had cows for pets, and were against the killing of them?
It's a terrible thing to do this, but it's a different twisted form of industry. Other feeling animals get killed all the time, many wither higher intelligence than household pets.

No different than eating a cow or chicken here in the U.S. Different cultures have different tastes the Chinese aren't going to stop eating cats and dogs because the West disapprove anymore than the West is going to stop eating cows because the Hindu's disapprove. Rather selfish to ask them to change their culture and lifestyle just so your personal belief are upheld!
