All of these children will fail to achieve anything of value - they all have more female than male brains. IQ tests are good at measuring female brain intelligence, but not male brain intelligence.
The male (systemizing) brain is what deals with pure logical reasoning. The men who go on to make the biggest discoveries are far more intelligent than these kinds of people, and they are always the most aggressive and competitive people around. Many of them underachieved at school.

I'm not for the people who say that they want to slap the smart kids, but it's not the fact that they're smart that makes them act that way. It's the child's attitude about. If the kid is smart, and knows that they're smart more often than not they will flaunt it and rub it in peoples faces. I think having a high IQ is awesome and all, but you should also have the right right attitude about it. Otherwise it's obnoxious. But if you're cool about it, then people will love you.
Our society is all about ability & competition. If you stand out, because you are different, you get beaten up. I'd trade in a high IQ for a high ability in soccer any day; because you'd get praised instead of beaten up!

.....my brother on the other hand is more studious and works, he's working to get into Oxford. My mum and dad didn't want him to go up years in school etc, after displaying behaviour ploblems and social problems they felt it was just as important for him to have social skills also. My other brother at 2 had an IQ test and scored high enough to get into mensa, my parents didn't see the point in signing up, he liked playing alot rather than working, which is what a kid should be doing!
Most of the kids in this program are clearly from higher class backgrounds and pushed by their parents.
My family all have IQ is the gifted band, my parents encourage us but didn't send our IQ scores into papers and make us do work at home. We couldn't afford to go to private school, do tons of music classes a week or go to michelin star restaurants. We were lucky that our schools had gifted programmes. I didn't want to be academic, and my parents were ok with that.
I don't have anything against gifted people and I cannot understand why people are abusing children on this, but i don't think there is any need for people to come on and mention "I'm gifted with an IQ of 250". Is there really any need to post your IQ, since it makes your reply neither more relevant or interesting? People are just boasting, even though strangers are not going to care if they are "A 15 year old with an IQ of 250" All they seem gifted with is extreme self pride and arrogance.

These people probably believe that they are geniuses because they score exceptionally high on IQ tests. To me, genius is about bringing creativity and originality into your field, like Leonardo da Vinci and Isaac Newton.
No doubt Peter has a very good IQ and smart for his age, but when it comes to much higher levels in the world of chess, I doubt Peter would even get that far. There are other young early teens in chess like Sergey Karjakin,Magnus Carlsen,Bu Xiangzhi,Teimour Radjabov, Hikaru Nakamura, Hou Yifan,etc.. who made Grandmasters titles at a much high level just to name a few.
Yea thats a very good point now, and i believe you that there are some very strong juniors, i only know Magnus Carlsen out of that lot, but i showed this comment to my dad, who is a lot better at chess than me (graded 180, if u wanted to know), so hes an average player, and he knows all the names you mentioned and completly agree's with you, and says that peter williams isnt even a junior u12 british champion. So ye he wont become world champion. Im happy to of played against him though.
The parents (mother mainly, father seems passive) seem as though they are pushing their children for validation for THEMSELVES, rather than for any good benefit for their children.

My son has Asperger's. We figured it out early. He is also has an extremely gifted I.Q. But at age 8, he was so lonely and confused that he told me he'd give up his smarts for friends. He also said he wanted to die. It broke my heart. We pulled him out of the gifted school (where I was shocked at how the parents used and paraded their kids to perform-SICK!). We put him in small private Christian Schools. He thrived, made friends, is shy about his achievements and plays down his abilities.

I went to several gifted institutions, some were horrible and some were absolutely brilliant. Just being surrounded by people who had similar intellect felt like a reawakening - at "regular" school I always felt isolated, at gifted school I had peers who could challenge and interest me.
I posted a text a year ago-it's pretty obvious from both the video and the comments from youtubers who know or go to school with some of these kids that some of them have the neurological disorder of Asperger's Syndrome. Yes they appear to be snotty but they really do not know how to detect social cues. 80% of communication is nonverbal. They only get the words. They are made fun of and they are hurt and act out. They have weird obsessions and go on and on about their favorite topic.

I'm not for the people who say that they want to slap the smart kids, but it's not the fact that they're smart that makes them act that way. It's the child's attitude about. If the kid is smart, and knows that they're smart more often than not they will flaunt it and rub it in peoples faces. I think having a high IQ is awesome and all, but you should also have the right right attitude about it. Otherwise it's obnoxious. But if you're cool about it, then people will love you.

Our society is all about ability & competition. If you stand out, because you are different, you get beaten up. I'd trade in a high IQ for a high ability in soccer any day; because you'd get praised instead of beaten up!
Why is it that a low IQ get's pity, and a high one gets comments like "i want to slap him"???
Accept them for what they are, please because the worst thing you can do is forbid them to be what they are. You could be driving a kid like that to wanting to stop living.

.....my brother on the other hand is more studious and works, he's working to get into Oxford. My mum and dad didn't want him to go up years in school etc, after displaying behaviour ploblems and social problems they felt it was just as important for him to have social skills also. My other brother at 2 had an IQ test and scored high enough to get into mensa, my parents didn't see the point in signing up, he liked playing alot rather than working, which is what a kid should be doing!

Most of the kids in this program are clearly from higher class backgrounds and pushed by their parents.
My family all have IQ is the gifted band, my parents encourage us but didn't send our IQ scores into papers and make us do work at home. We couldn't afford to go to private school, do tons of music classes a week or go to michelin star restaurants. We were lucky that our schools had gifted programmes. I didn't want to be academic, and my parents were ok with that.

I don't have anything against gifted people and I cannot understand why people are abusing children on this, but i don't think there is any need for people to come on and mention "I'm gifted with an IQ of 250". Is there really any need to post your IQ, since it makes your reply neither more relevant or interesting? People are just boasting, even though strangers are not going to care if they are "A 15 year old with an IQ of 250" All they seem gifted with is extreme self pride and arrogance.

No doubt Peter has a very good IQ and smart for his age, but when it comes to much higher levels in the world of chess, I doubt Peter would even get that far. There are other young early teens in chess like Sergey Karjakin,Magnus Carlsen,Bu Xiangzhi,Teimour Radjabov, Hikaru Nakamura, Hou Yifan,etc.. who made Grandmasters titles at a much high level just to name a few.

Yea thats a very good point now, and i believe you that there are some very strong juniors, i only know Magnus Carlsen out of that lot, but i showed this comment to my dad, who is a lot better at chess than me (graded 180, if u wanted to know), so hes an average player, and he knows all the names you mentioned and completly agree's with you, and says that peter williams isnt even a junior u12 british champion. So ye he wont become world champion. Im happy to of played against him though.

The parents (mother mainly, father seems passive) seem as though they are pushing their children for validation for THEMSELVES, rather than for any good benefit for their children.

My son has Asperger's. We figured it out early. He is also has an extremely gifted I.Q. But at age 8, he was so lonely and confused that he told me he'd give up his smarts for friends. He also said he wanted to die. It broke my heart. We pulled him out of the gifted school (where I was shocked at how the parents used and paraded their kids to perform-SICK!). We put him in small private Christian Schools. He thrived, made friends, is shy about his achievements and plays down his abilities.

It's pretty obvious you've never attended a gifted school from your awful grammar...so how would you know?
I went to several gifted institutions, some were horrible and some were absolutely brilliant. Just being surrounded by people who had similar intellect felt like a reawakening - at "regular" school I always felt isolated, at gifted school I had peers who could challenge and interest me.

I posted a text a year ago-it's pretty obvious from both the video and the comments from youtubers who know or go to school with some of these kids that some of them have the neurological disorder of Asperger's Syndrome. Yes they appear to be snotty but they really do not know how to detect social cues. 80% of communication is nonverbal. They only get the words. They are made fun of and they are hurt and act out. They have weird obsessions and go on and on about their favorite topic.
