and even if i would not hold her in such high esteem for her singing and songwriting and versatility - i would FOREVER be thankful for her cause her work inspired me to start writing myself....thank you nona and thnak you extplay for posting this!
Sorry that I missed this show. You know, I remember sitting in my parents living room going through their album (as in, LP) collection when I came across one of Patti Labelle and the Bluebells (and, this was not a reissue); my point, not sure if the other two ladies with Patti were Nona or Sarah Dash, but these ladies have been around for more than a minute --and they are truly gems. Nona was right when she said here that tomorrow is promised no one. Enjoy while its still here --now.

This song has become Nona's anthem. Nona co-wrote it with the Canadian band Rough Trade [ Carole Pope & Kevan Staples ] . Nona's even on some of their LP's too.
