One of the reasons I got this game for th wii was this level. the other reasons were: Spagonia Rooftop Run is fun, Perfect Dark Gaia battle is longer, and I find out this stage isn't on the wii version!! :( Why Sega???

While this is way faster than the wii-version, the stages seem to repeat themselves a lot. The stages in the wii-version definitely look a lot more interesting, even though they are not as long or as detailed as the ones in PS3/360-version.

To be fair, by the end of this stage, Sonic is climbing a huge tree, and this player fell a few times trying to get up it, which is why it looks so repetitive... because he's literally repeating the parts he failed at. Otherwise you can notice the dirt road running, going through the stone/clay buildings, and the walkways.

They have less power. Plus, Sega said that the Hedgehog Engine couldn't have worked on PS2 and Wii, besides, Empire City is too big and graphiced for the PS2 and Wii to handle.

The less power can explain no hedgehog engine and less graphics, but memory is not an issue. Wii games like super smash bros brawl are dual layer and would have had more than enough memory to hold two more stages and a hub world. It's just that dimps (who made the wii day stages) didn't take the time to give the wii/ps2 it's own version of empire city and mazuri. And that was just pure lazyness on their part.

The hedgehog engine is a graphic engine it toke 3 years to create sonic unleashed ps3 (And the hedgehog engine).

the xbox version is 6 gb

the wii version is 4 GB

and i am sure of it. dual layer is 8 gb it should be too enough.

PS2 is a 1 core 200 MHZ Processor

Wii is a 1 Core 771 MHZ Processor

FZero For Gamecube was 10 times better in graphics and speed of the wii version even the sonic adventure DX Game.

That's Natal! And the Wii is a good system that has good games, even the M-rated ones, course Project Natal is pretty much ground-breaking technology but it still doesn't put the Wii to shame. Sonic's quills don't move in the PS2 version when he catches some speed.

Graphical differences, such as water reflection.

They have different glitches.

(Some of them are shared by both versions)

PS2 version doesn't have the effect when Sonic does the Quick Step.
