  • Few people know about all the fines Roberts has got over the years. Cause he plays past curfew

  • That is like the first time I have heard him swear 

  • Gotta love this guy.

  • I still find him s fucking sexy :)

  • "they played for 40 mintutes, and do a fuckin' ancore" love that part!!

  • idolo ! i love you

  • i like bowie, but that's just wrong.

  • I hesitated to click on the link as I dreaded seeing Robert Smith getting on in years. But I'm glad to see he's preserved his sweet innocent charm and disarming smile :-))

  • My best friend is his nice :)

  • Its good that he lost a lot of weight.

Its the old Robert Smith, only older.

  • Thanks Robert, I was one of those that I used my hard earned money to buy your records and tours working part time and earning peanuts to go see you. Thank you for remembering us when you gig.

  • Sorry guys but whats a Big Gig????? I know I sound stupid but is it just a long gig or what????? When I was in Guides, last year (thats how young I am!!!!) we went to "The Big Gig" to celebrate 100 years of girl guides but the acts were all modern shit like JLS and The Saturdays!!!!! Oh I would have loved it if The Cure or Bowie or The Stones, or even Elton John had been there!!!!! Would have stopped my eardrums bleeding.

  • Did anyone else notice the lip-mark on his right cheek? - Oh, I'm jealous now!

  • MossMaiden; I too love the Cure but I have seen one other band play for three hours. It was a completely different kind of music but it was Bruse Springsteen, he always puts on a long show.

  • excellent work ethics...Robert Smith.

    5*****

    fucking genious.

  • @00MORDRED Very true. Robert's way of thinking on this is really refreshing to hear. Great to hear him say how he doesn't like to see fans short-changed by a short gig and parting with their money to save up for tickets. 1976 was a very special year indeed, as it saw the birth of one of the most, if not THE most important and influential bands in music history. Long live The Cure.

  • loved robert smith for his smeared lipstick. he's just a smear now lol.

  • youd think after 30yrs hed have learned how to swipe on some lipstick

  • GOD I LOVE YOU ROBERT!!! you are so real and for everything you say here is why I love you and The Cure so very very much~~~ Much love....

  • goddamn i <3 rs and the cure. such childhood memories and still so fucking relevant! woot!

  • Thank you Robert, for think about all of us sitting in the up sits, we love you

  • the Cure doesn't need to try to "be the best"...they already are! So many other bands are out there and people love them but their music really sucks

  • you have to love him they rock

  • 1992 The Cure performed for the first time in Orlando FL.I will never forget that show!! There was not just one encore but "three" I will never forget that concert!

  • I love this interview. This is perhaps one of the best interviews of Robert Smith, I have seen! I absolutely enjoyed it. I felt so happy with his remarks that I just clapped my hands. The best part is when he talks about David Bowie's gig and the Reading Festival in 1979.

  • You make me the person I am today.

    Thank you.

  • I love these guys! <3

  • yea right on about the work ethic! The Cure has to be the only band i've ever seen that plays 3 hours! Those tickets are so darn expensive too!! I'm so glad they are so down to earth.

  • dopeness!!

  • Lemmy, speed, and bowls of piss. Truly this is a great interview. :P

  • this is one of the best interviews ive seen in my 25 years of following them

  • I was in the last row and I had came over from sweden. Thank you very much Robert :-)
