  • Robert Hight is a repectful human being. I saw him at the LA auto show last year and he has a big heart for his fan. Watching this video as he idles down the track is amazing. He respect Scott kalitta and Eric Medlen at the same time. RIP to all the people who died in the NHRA.

  • Robert Hight has a big, kind heart. I saw this on espn 2, & I thought that it was a really nice thing 2 do. I even have a picture of Kalitta's crew & others standing on the line from my local newspaper. I will hold on 2 that. R.I.P. Scott!!!

  • You know I'm not a big John Force fan, but Robert Hight, even if he never gets to fly the big number one on the side of his car is already a great champion, a tribute like this just proves it. I still get tears in my eyes when I see this. Scott Kalitta will forever be missed, I hope and pray that Robert Hight will not only get to fly the big 1 on his car, but gets to do it many times over.

  • He will...when John retires. :)

Robert is a nice guy and always fan friendly. I went to the race in VA last year, though John and Ashley weren't there, Robert still provided the fans with a great show.

  • Nothing but the best most respectful thing that Team Force and Robert Hight could have done for a fellow racer and the racing family. Scott was a wonderful human being, RIP.

  • This is true, and they are still leading in the research and development phases to make these cars safer. Great post.

  • Robert Hight is a class act. R.I.P. Scott.

  • R.I.P Scott. From All your fans Down Under Mate.

  • WOW! I saw Hights' run on ESPN2 that sunday and the way he respected his Friend and co-racer still brings water to my eyes. That was one of the most respectful gestures I have ever seen in any sport. Thank you Robert Hight and the John Force Racing Team. Thank you for posting this video. Your awesome and your heart is huge. EM, SK and BK RIP. Continue to support your local Dragstrips. FYI they are running 1000 feet now for immediate safety for these drivers that do put there life on line for us.

  • Now that is one of the most respectful things I have ever seen. RIP Scott.

  • RIP Scott. He couldnt have competed in a sport that required more heart, courage, or guts. He knew the risks but he loved the sport so much that the passion outweighed the risk. He died doing what he loved. Not many people get to go out that way.

  • And I would bet that Robert Hight was crying in that helmet all the way down the track, being the sensitive and caring person he is.

  • I cried, very respectful and touching. RIP Scott the track won't be the same without you!

  • That was the most respectful act i have ever seen.

    R.I.P Scotty

  • Very emotional and moving! I am sure Scotty was happy to see that in Heaven!
