@DerAdventurer If you come to Portugal, u will see lots of mercedes with more than 25 years better than the majority of other cars with 10 years or less. almost every cab here are mercs (190D, 200D, and new ones), and most of them easily reach 1 million km! i had a '87 300D and that was a great car, no problems, confortable, easily reach 200 km/h (even without the turbo, because it was taken off). mercedes is the best, they have it all, beautiful, classy, fast, confortable, they gave no troubles

I know people who have maintained their Mercedes-Benz and it would still break. They are nice, luxurious automobiles, but their relieability is just terrible and it shows in their resale value.

@DerAdventurer If you come to Portugal, u will see lots of mercedes with more than 25 years better than the majority of other cars with 10 years or less. almost every cab here are mercs (190D, 200D, and new ones), and most of them easily reach 1 million km! i had a '87 300D and that was a great car, no problems, confortable, easily reach 200 km/h (even without the turbo, because it was taken off). mercedes is the best, they have it all, beautiful, classy, fast, confortable, they gave no troubles

I should have a lexus IS 350 as my car for the job, but i declined it after few days... i have NEVER EVER driven a more boring car... and now drive an sl500... and i dont know what you talking about unrealiable cars... my whole family drives Mercs and i cant say any of them had any problems with them... except my aunt's 1998 e200 kompressor had problem with transmission but the problem was an error in the computer... and thats it. lexus is reliable, but it is lazy and boring...

Yea, Do you know why Mercedes-Benz has terrible resale value? It's because they have problems, they break down, their engines burn oil. I know people who have maintained their Mercedes-Benz and it would still break. They are nice, luxurious automobiles, but their relieability is just terrible and it shows in their resale value.

Resale value terrible? They have the highest value here in Europe! 4% after 1 year and 17% after 5 years! BMW has 11% loss after 1 year and 35.7% after 5 years... Lexus is not even on the list of top 20. We dont like jap cars here. We trust our history and experience. Lexus doesnt have any history. DTM, Le Mans, Mille Miglia are just 3 of more than 100 worldwide known. Cars origin is European, and first race was here too. And as Daimler-Benz made first car, they made first supercar.
