I watched this as a kid in the UK, thinking it was very similar to CHOCKY, and I remember it well enough to have looked it up on here. Great programme, shame it's not so well remembered.

Hahahahaha I was thinking the very same thing today... Me 2... Chocky is just a total cool thing that does not come back again only the memories. todays tv is shit compared to what we had in the 80s and early 90s! Its good seeing it all again!

Thanks for uploading this! I haven't watched the clip with the sound on yet, but I still clearly remember the music even after 20+ years (I'm 33 now). This series gave me the chills as a kid, particularly those freaky "wet look" aliens and their voices. Thank you again :D

Wow it's weird reading all your comments on this. I used to watch it with my sis when I was 8 and I didn't know anyone else who'd seen it! It used to freak me out too, the way it looked and the sounds. Strange to find out it was filmed 20 mins from my home - it seemed light years away.

Ha! Awesome that you put these up.  The swamp scenes were filmed on a farm in Pokeno down the road from where I grew up and the town scenes were filmed in Patamahoe.

I was looking for this series for ages. I was a small girl when it was in our Polish tv and I remember only few scenes from it. There will be an alien in the cellar or something... am I right? Pity that they cannot release this on dvd

COOOOOL!This TVserie reminds me my childhood and this one was one of my favourite.I saw it for the first time in 1986 on ČST-2(Channel 2-Czechoslovak TV).During the 80´s in Czechoslovakia there were lots of series for kids made in New Zealand,Australia,Canada or the U.K./The Flying Kiwi,Under the mountain,Skippy,Coral Sea,Castaways,Chocky,Letty,Adr­ian Mole etc./
