i'd donate every "donatable" part of my body when i die. not like i'd have any use for it once i am dead. not giving your body parts away when u are dead is like not letting someone else use the computer once when u are done using it. illogical, immature and selfish.
When you agree to donate your eyes, your eyes are removed from your body after your death and deposited in an organ bank. (Parts of your body can live for upto a few days even after your brain dies.)
Your eyes are then withdrawn from the bank and given to a suitable patient who has lost sight and needs either an eye (like this) or an artificial eye.
2 eyes can work for 2 patients, giving them sight in one eye each.
