  • sounds great

  • cold engine :)

  • real antilag works only when you shift or brake with full open throttle !!! its retarding ignition time by 90* insted of closing the throttle boby !!! engine is slowing but turbo still push max. boost !!!

  • ohhhhhhhh i just love this.......

  • This is launch control [with a soft cut rev limiter] NOT antilag. It builds boost the same, but this is a rev limiter, it cuts spark only leaving the fuel to cycle through and explode in the exhaust manifold to create pressure and make boost on the start line [while at the same time stopping wheel spin as its a secondry rev limiter.

Antilag is operational on overrun only and is part of the ECU, it retads ignition around 30 degrees from TDC causing the same explosions, when not on throttle

  • Looks more like a launch control

  • can someone please help me out with finding a aftermarket blow off valve i could put on my audi 200

  • How did you make that antilag system

  • I think he is using a VNT turbo Variable Nerve Turbo, Google it....

  • This isn't an antilag system. This is just a blow-off valve. Its effect is similar, but way much less than a real antilag system, btw, this should be stock in every turbocharged car. Unfortunately it isn't.

  • wrong. its just launch control. kind of like a 2 step system. it helps build up boost as you set your desire rpm point and rev it. a BOV is just a bypass valve to prevent large pressure spikes in the intake pipes when the throttle plate is closed while boosting, preventing the turbo from surging. once you close the throttle plate the air pressure slams into it and causes pressure spike. this is where the BOV vents out the excess pressure

  • Oh I see what you're talking about. I haven't noticed the rev limiter. I thought it was all about the loud BOV.

Btw, you're right, and I'm happy to meet someone who's really aware of what he's talking about. It's really rare around here, excessively at your age, in your country. Many have cars at an early age, but don't know nothing about them, often not even being able to drive a stickshift. Sad fact.

So be proud of yourself! :)

  • thank you. not many people would think that me being my age would know what im talking about. iv done a lot of engine tuning in my days and yes iv made mistakes before but thats where i'll let people correct me and teach me new things. iv wokred with many mechanics and a few teachers and let me tell you there is wayyy to much to learn lol

  • also im a young mechanic myself but finding jobs is hard because of my age even though iv gotten tons of certificates =)

  • For me this is just a hobby, officially I learn economics. But I think I already know more than those neon-spinners-exhaust pimpers, since I've been in the picture for many years now.

Btw,what kind of cars did you do?What do you have now?You must know that you're lucky, being so close to cars.

Btw,certificates,I also have one in advanced level business English, and couldn't use it anywhere yet, though only 30 such certificates are issued each year.Seems to be kinda lavishment using it only here.

  • i hate spinners, not a big fan of neons, and i dont like big fat exhaust. lol. i worked on all sorts of cars, 03 dodge neon srt4, 07 dodge charger, 07 grand prix gtp supercharged, and so on etc... iv worked on a a lot. im no ricer though, i own a 00 honda accord 3.0 v6 sedan and spending about $5500 for ethier a street tuned motor or a drag tuned motor. its gonna be a one of a kind honda knowing poeple tune mostly four cylinders. i also drive an 08 BMW M3 but thats being stored due to winter.

  • God, you're lucky :) I'd call myself a ricer, but an E92 M3... a dream to me. I've driven lots of cars considering the average at my age. I learnt to drive when I was 14, and as I got my licence with 17, I tried to drive as much as I could. Though my parents didn't let me, so I had to find other ways. :(

Anyway, sometime through friends, sometime having been thrown out of the car showrooms, I drove 41 cars. And unfortunately only one was RWD. A 82 hp KIA Pregio van...:P

  • lol nice guess on the M3. but mine is an

E90 M3. its the 4-dour sedan with 6speed manual black exterior and black interior leather fully loaded. i started working on cars when i was 6 thats when my brother got his first car. i learn to drive when i was in the 7th grade. my parents are strict when it comes to driving too haha.

  • Oh god... :) Good choice, must be beautiful :-O

Once I'd be in the States, I'd visit you :)

    Btw, where do you live?

  • well i was born and raised in the state of california for 13 years. now im currently residing in the state of michigan. how about you?

  • Acura TL engine - $2.5k at the right place

Doing the work yourself (know how to weld?) - Free

Power gains and tuning options are way opened up. Working on the J30 engine isn't the best idea. J35 out of a TL Type-S is the best chance you'll have at making that Accord any quicker.

  • im not looking to make my car any faster. i just want my v6 accord sedan to stand out. cl-s trans bolts right up to my motor. comptech usa supercharger will be done as well

  • NIce buy on the M3 but personally worked on then and I hate all BMWs there undercar quality is horrible and truthfully what I learned from working with them is there made to break, but since you know your way around cars it really dont matter.. Ohh and tuning a v6 has to be done right or you end up with turbo lag, boost leak, or just plain under powered for what you put into it. I got a four banger in the middle of adding second turbo. turbo v6 and a supercharged v8

  • hey thnx. but no im not gonna turbo my v6 accord. im throwing on a comptech usa cupercharger kit on it

  • nice chioce, I like super charges, you get that power from the start rather then at a set RPM when the turbo spools.

  • Try a BMW dealership... I know your thinking but it BMW but they have lots of young ages working on cars there.. I worked there for 3 years and I was 19 and there was some 16,17 year olds learning the trade also.

  • jojojo ! sweet !!!

  • What DV/BOV are you using?

  • bosch

  • As in bosch 710 ?

  • yes

  • Thanks.. Sadly mine's is nowhere as loud..

  • @turboskipper

Lol I also have a 710 but it's on my 1.8T. I specifically have a 710N. What do you have on that car?

  • This is a true demo of antilag, unlike the other vids of cars backfiring in a parking lot. Hate the game. Thug, when you find a picture of what antilag looks like, post it.

  • that dont look like antilag 2 me =\

  • its a two-step, like redneck said

  • It has a 2 step limiter, which pulls timing and allows rev limit at 4000 rpm...and therefore loads the motor

  • Just look at the boost gauge.Anyway u dont need to have load to turbo starts. I have a golf V gti, its turbo, and it works reving @ idle like this.

  • the turbo on the GTI is tiny.

  • so...?

  • so... so it's a tiny turbo. a DSM t25 on a 2 liter will spool with no load, but that doesn't mean that all turbos do that.

  • its a blow off valve, not anti lag :/

  • Explain how the car is making boost without any load (speed is 0mph)

  • A Car can make boost when revving(not full boost though) but wont go to 20psi by just revving.

  • @turboskipper what you have is launch control which is a secondary revlimiter..

antilag works when your foot is OFF the gas.

  • @turboskipper Still reving the engine....

  • @turboskipper its making boost very carefully

  • @turboskipper i think he is using the clutch
