  • Thanks for these posts. Do you happen to know what the name of the venue ExC played at in Portland was?

  • to all fucking idiots in this video talking about getting high and drinking ,why do you feel so freaking bad about other people not following on what you do,and why are you wasting your words here in this place?stop making excuses for your stupid bad nasty habits,if you think you are a man because you smoke ,and you drink ,and shoot some dope,there is other ways you can prove it ,but o well im asking for water in a big desert ..

  • what most people dont understand is that is not only the fact you dont fuck up your body ,it is about a better society ,if you do drugs ,think of all the bad things you support not just screwing up your brain ,but you support gangsters,narco,labs,death ,dirty money ,drug dealing ,and many young lives walking towards to an not happy end!!think what is outside your head ,how small is your brain that you cant think right of all that smoke and booze?spread the message , for a better society

  • Do What you want. Do not tell a stranger how to live. Goose step off!

  • This is how Mainstream Rock N' Roll HAS TO BE

  • I don't see the point in actually making a big stink about a personal health choice. I think that if you limit yourself to a few beers and a few hits every once in a blue moon there's no real health hazards. And besides even if you are healthy you'll still get sick and you'll still get cancer.

  • @dylan111291 I don't entirely disagree with you, but nobody said that the people who consume drugs, cigarettes or alcohol in small, moderate amounts are the problem—it's the people who don't. And their choices DO affect people other than them—their families when they die of lung cancer or overdose, the other people harmed when they drive drunk or commit acts of drunken violence, etc. It ceases to be a "personal health choice" when it affects those around you. Moderation isn't the problem.

  • @Guav Ok, but what i am saying is why not just say that you won't over do alcohol or marijuana? I mean if it's not your thing that's cool. I personally only do those two things once in a blue moon. My dad is an alcoholic and my uncle is a drug addict so i can see where you are coming from.

  • @dylan111291 For some people it's fine to say that they won't overdo drugs/alcohol—like yourself—but not everybody WANTS to do those things in moderate amounts, some people don't want to do them at all (straight edge), some people don't agree with the CONCEPT of getting intoxicated at all, and others realize that due to their personalities, they cannot do things in moderation, so for them it's safest to completely abstain. Everybody has to make their own choices. You made yours, I made mine :)

  • @Guav yeah i agree i just don't get all the movement type stuff if it all comes down to just personal choice like it seems as if they are trying to make a revolution of sorts.

  • @dylan111291 I could try to explain that aspect, but it would be too wordy for a YouTube comment :)

  • @dylan111291 basically the idea is they don't feel the need to do drugs or alcohol to have a good time and enjoy life, not necessarily just that drugs and alcohol are pure evil and kill everyone.

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz i know the idea, but i feel the same way and i don't go around making some kind of statement out of it.

  • @dylan111291 well music is self expression, they have a right to talk about their views/emotions in their music. I do agree it is ridiculous when some of them go around in gangs beating the shit out of people about it though.

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz No doubt about it , they can express themselves through their music but to go around almost protesting it in a sense is idiotic.

  • attention seeking cock suckers

  • didnt know sick of it all were straight edge?

  • @SmashedUpFetus they're not !

  • @DaxLOUx good! fuck straight edge! guinness and a steak please sir

  • @SmashedUpFetus i'm so tired of these comments on straight edge : "fuck straight edge", "straight edge is fur pussies", "drinking is fun" fuck that ! i'm straight edge because i think it's right for me! but i'm not a preaching person, everybody is free to do what they want. go ahead, drink if you want to. it doesn't make you a bad person. I don't have a problem with people who drink alcohol. in fact, most of my friends drink and smoke and it's fine with me. it's time you start to show tolerance

  • @DaxLOUx theres nothing intolerant about saying "fuck straight edge"; intolerance would be saying "fuck all people who are straight edge". anyway no need to get all serious about it. here, lighten up and have a beer on me.

  • @SmashedUpFetus ok so you say "fuck the idea of being straight edge" but not "fuck the straight edgers". doesn't make any sense to me

  • @DaxLOUx yeah you got it. fuck straight edge cos i dont wanna do it but not fucker the straight edgers because if they wanna do it thats up to them. simples

  • @DaxLOUx Same here brother,I'm straight edge too,i have tons of friends that drink and smoke. And that's alright with me. They don't try me into it and don't try to push them into being straight edge.

  • i know that dude dj rose.i used to go to all the hardcore shows on sundays there at the lost horizon....how weird...i wonder what those dudes are up to now a days?

  • @conflictjpk DJ still lives in Syracuse, is married with four children, is still vegan straight edge and owns three tattoo shops as well as doing tattoos himself.

  • i am drug free and been a vegetarian all my life im never gonna do drugs . but i dont call myself edge

  • Which Sick Of It All song was playing at 6.05?

  • @Blinkyblink999 Injustice System

  • sweet tat bra!!!!

  • 32 years of no drugs.

  • thanks for uploading these man, i used to have a vhs with some of these mid 90s news stories but it got messed up a while ago. it's cool getting to see them again.

  • these people are soooooo hardcore =P

    seriously, why no sex and drugs? sex and drugs are awesome, especially together

  • We're pretty much the polar opposite of juggalos....except, believe it or not, there are straight edge juggalos.

  • @Pilaf1984 i know i am one, well used to be a juggalo

  • i like streight edge beacuse they have a healty

  • If I dont drink, dont smoke, dont do drugs, but I eat meat...I am straight edge?

  • Yes, you are straight edge, if you choose to call yourself that.

  • if you like the hardcore music also. If it applies, then you're ok to claim Straight Edge. But etc is think of it that you're claiming it for the rest of your life.

    Meatless is about Vegan Edge

  • @HermanHermes you're straightedge if you want to be. just not vegan/ vegitarian straightedge

  • This is relevant today. I love this music, I love this message. Way too many kids today are still getting into the smoke/drink/drugs bullshit. I resist all of that! XXX

  • i eat meat but i'm SxE, it's my life and i don't see why animal rights have anything to do with veganism. honestly i used to live in a bad neighborhood growing up not everyone could afford to eat right. Veganism isn't a requirement for SxE

  • honestly not eating meat should be counted for straight edge

  • Why? I'm vegan, but I don't think it has a single thing to do with SxE.

  • i totally agree with you, but it shares the same ideas cause you care about yourself and other people and animals

  • @2006munyon who the FUCK are you to decide whats straight edge and whats not it's about staying true, i dont drink, dont smoke, dont do drugs, but hell yeah i'll eat meat if i want.

  • I was stoked to see this when it first came out. It's very relevant today. For me it's truly "for life". SXE since 1989 and will never sell out.

  • SxE is my life...

    life is very short (enjoy positive your life):

    * Hardcore

    * Friends

    * vegetarian lifestyle

    * 100% Drugs Free

    and fuck the system!!!

  • Thanks for posting this video. I wish we could get such sympathetic stories from the corporate media today!

    I'm hoping the new Earth Crisis album reignites the vegan straight edge movement. It will help bring back the sense of urgency and no compromise ethic to the animal rights movement that has weakened over time.
