  • 9000 HITS MR JOHNSTON!!!!!

  • Forward it to your friends!! We're shooting for 100K + ;-)

  • its so small compared to now

  • Yes. When this was taken it was just beginning to come over the ridge. Now that whole mountain is burned as well as the ridges to the right and left. unreal how fast it spread.

  • I used to live in So Cal. I hated the fires. No fires here in Kentucky! not unless started purposely. Good luck surviving the flamage.

  • seanster17

I totally agree. I now live in Las Vegas and there isn't anything to burn being that most of where I live is rocks and sand. But I still miss my home state of California. There isn't a lot to do in Las Vegas.

  • Viva Las Vegas!

  • lol Most people who live here are not feeling that way these days. You know with the highest unemployment rate, over 13% and all the foreclosures. More and more people are leaving and I don't blame them.

  • Thanks! Maybe we'll head back for the Derby!

  • and while your out here you can check out the hundred acre dedicated dirt bike area, or go out on the two massive lakes, or race a car sideways through the dirt. Lots of stuff to do out here. You don't even have to where a helmet to ride your bike!

  • oh God

  • I hope Station doesn't get as bad as the ones in San Diego. Had to live through '03 and '07. And now this one!! Auugh!

    Good luck to you.

And did you say "call it flame" and the end? I liked "flamage"as well. hahaha

  • Thanks. We are hopeful the worst is over.

Good listener! Yes, our niece, Anna, had a healthy baby boy that night. Hence, Lou's name suggestion!

  • freakin losers.....prey your house doesnt get burned idots!

  • Thanks, always good to hear from winners!!

  • "prey"? Interesting. You have some real winners commenting on this video, Uncle J. You'd think the people who go through the effort to make a negative comment would at least know how to spell.

  • Lets "pray" people learn who to spell! We welcome all comments!!... from winners as well as "freakin losers"

  • i bet your life sucks ....

  • how bad are the fires now?

  • The fire is only 5 percent contained, and firefighters do not expect to fully contain the fire for another two weeks. The fire erupted Wednesday afternoon near a ranger station and the Angeles Crest Highway above La Canada Flintridge, and has already destroyed 53 homes.

Capt. Mark Whaling of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said a "little jump in humidity slowed the fire." Whaling said the Station Fire is the worst he has seen in his 30-year career.

  • well looks fugly, hope you will be able to control that fire..best wishes from Croatia..

  • Thx! How are things these days in Croatia??

  • thank you sir. good luck with the fires

  • Great "on the spot" report :-)

  • What a nice comment! thx!! stay safe.

  • god dude i have football practice today. you'd think somone would tell the coaches theres a fire a few miles away..

  • Unreal! What school??

  • La Habra High. its far away i know. but the cloud is still above the school. and we have "unhealthy air quality" apparently. so did you guys get evacuated or are you guys alright? "flammage" haha nice report

  • Thanks for asking. We're ok. But, some folks near Sunland are getting evacuated...(hopefully your coach will make the right decision and cancel practice until the air is better..)

  • well im happy you guys are still safe. and yeah we had practice 1-3. then back again from 4:30-7:30. heh oh well

  • take care of yourself! good luck this season!

  • what a great report ,

  • Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • allah akber.allah help the taliban to American destroy.

  • well ur a piece of shit

  • Dude, you are watching too much TV

  • i live over that mountain and i can see the fire from my window :/

  • uh, leave

  • God bless the residents and firefighters. Yoiu guys sound like comefian reporters lol. God bless Youtube and thanks for posting. I am in the San Gabrieal Valley and it sucks to wake up to a frickin orange/smoke infested sunrise! (rubs eyes, looks outside, turn on A/C/ and go back to sleep).zzzzzzz

  • Not a lot of people expected this fire to get sooooo big sooooo fast! A power line blew and started an ordinary wich turned to what it is today! All of Angeles Crest is on fire. But its gunna be worst during the winter. All that rain that we're expecting is gunna make a HUGE mud slide with all those ahes and loss debrie

  • We'll be there with our hip boots on.. ;-)

  • are there Hot chicks in lost hills ?

  • yes.

  • I saved them! ^_^

  • These idiots seem a bit giddy like they are having fun.

  • As BridgitRJ would say "give it a rest, pal"

  • dude, when you are looking at a giant fire, your adrenaline gets pumping. this guy clearly has some knowledge on the subject, which is better than a bunch of thugs making stupid jokes...

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • reporting from the scene: yellow tooth Lou, and his faggot friend smiling and having fun at the fact people are about to lose everything they worked for! i drove by today (3days after this was filmed) fire is about 30 miles wide and down RIGHT BY the houses. people are about to lose everything they worked their whole lives for (million dollar homes right there) they have insurance for fire, but will still live in a hotel for a year if their lucky, till a new house is built for them.

  • Give it a rest pal. Get a sense of humor. Obviously, they are not laughing at the fact that people might lose everything. In fact, they live in the La Canada area and are very much affected by this fire as well. You know what I think you should do? Use some cruder language next time you're pointing the finger. That does everyone a lot of good and shows how educated you are.

  • We love BridgitRJ!! You are correct, we live in La Canada and are as concerned as everyone about this natural disaster and our community. I only wish we would have been wrong about predicting the fire would come down the hill. But, we're safe now and praying for our friends in Acton and the other areas that continue to be threatened.

  • LOL that fire isnt that distant from thos houses no more! I live in Tujunga and the fire is already on this side! Man this thing is already goin past Sunland all the way to Lake View Terans (i highly doubt i spelled that right lol) plus the fire is already reaching on to the Palmdale side. So this thing is burning like crazy!

  • i drove by today, on my way home from lost hills. the fire is in lake view terrace, and goes all the way to alta dena. NO WIND the aircraft cant get in on the major hot spots that the pillars are forming from. they can only drop on the smaller lines of fire.

  • 105,000 acres have burned down, 21 houses burned down, 12,000 houses in danger, and 2 firefighters passed away....this thing is growing too fast

  • i know i can smell the fire over at my home :O

  • unreal. I'll be glad when this puppie is out.

  • Did you forget the good camera and the tripod Jim?

  • ;-)

  • Damn Those Fire Devil Demons! Wait Til Fall/Winter...Its El Nino Rain Time! No Trees,Bush Shrubs In Fire Scorch Mountains=Flash Flood Mud Slides!

  • Thats exactly what im saying!

  • Hey look out there Jim!!!

  • Do a word search on laist(dot)com for updates. That's spelled L A I S T. Then word search there for "Station Fire."

  • Search this for an update:

La Cañada Flintridge Station fire 8-30-09 UPDATE

  • dude i cant fucking breathe with these fucking fires.. my nose has been bleeding my throat hurts and ive been dizzy.. when will it END!

  • Another display of the stupid and primitive fire fighting departments we have. The poor guys have what amounts to buckets and garden hoses against a large fire. IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN WITH HIGH WINDS, SEVERAL FIRES AND A LARGE EARTHQUAKE?..

One of this days LA will burn to the ground. . IT'S TIME TO HAVE A FLEET OF 747 SIZE WATER TANKERS AND PUT ANY FIRE OUT IN MINUTES.

Stop building combustible junk homes would help too.

  • Way to go Mr. J. I like your Fire Fighting knowledge,

  • heat + fuel + oxygen ;-)

  • Thx!

  • This isn't close to the biggest brush fire ever in So Cal but it's the first one that is literally a few miles from my home and seeing it up this close really puts things in perspective. I can't begin to imagine the impossibility of trying to fight such a huge fire as this in such rough terrain. Hands off to every single fireman who's risking their lives to battle this blaze. Few of us will ever appreciate what you do for us.

  • thank god for the firefighters and GOD BLESS them all whos helping!!

  • Yes! They are great!

  • Here here!! agreed

  • Ive seen it from pasadena and its like quadrupled plus the past 48 hours, now resembling a volcanic eruption!

  • I'm moving to La Canada oh no!

  • You'll love it!

  • good vid, I've been looking at the latest pics from the Mt.Wilson cam, doesn't look good. post more vid for us x-Ca. living in florida!

  • "Flamage!" A new word, I love it...not the fire, though. Cool video, Guys

  • Hey! Thanks! I guess in an emergency ya gotta think fast ;-)

  • what location was this video taken from? la crescenta? glendale?

  • Forest Hill Dr.

    La Canada
