As a fan of the 1902 story, I was disappointed. The musical score was terrific, but that's about it.

The dialogue felt forced, which I believe to be a result of the combination of amateurish acting and amateurish writing. The actors did a decent job with non-verbal acting, but their line delivery just didn't work for me.

The actor who played Carl did an excellent job conveying his emotion through his facial expressions, and was the only character who seemed genuinely sad about the death.

Good video! The acting wasn't bad and the score was very good for the tone of the story. The woman was over the top, but she NEEDED to be to get the supernatural element of the story to have credibility. It's not as good as the version I once heard on BBC radio years ago though brrrrrrr!
