I just finished watching the video,and i do have to say this,it really makes me mad,that game desiners nowdays dont even make mario games like they used to,there all 3rd person,there is nothing like smb 1 or the originals.

its funny how,to beat this game,it takes you about 10 minutes,but in Smb 1,it normally takes 5 minutes,and super mario land has less levels.

@Spazmify yes, but in super mario bros, there are warp zones. therefore, even if I count using warp zone as playing a full level, you only have to play 8 of the 32 levels to beat smb1, while all 12 levels are required to finish this one, and 2 of these are slow auto-scrolling levels.

I THINK that the WR on this is 8 minutes or so, but I'm not sure. I saw some mistakes, so it's possible that this is not it.

Yeah this is not perfect by maybe a minute or so but 8 mins is ridiculous - TAS is around 12 minutes and that is with damage abuse so it's almost constantly holding right on the d-pad! Remember this is edited down from 14 minutes!

I can finish Metroid Zero Mission in 1:24 though:P

Nice :) you posting any runs of it? I'm practising SML to take on this speedrun but having problems perfecting 2-2, can't really hold B the whole time because the long jumps are too long and the short fast hops aren't high enough :( dammit!

Well, if you were to look at that video and read its description you would learn that it is a TAS and uncomparable to this video. That being said, this isn't the world record, but it is done very well, just a little bit too cautious.

If you put black and white Game Boy games in a Game Boy Colour or Advance it should have the equivalent colours the game would have when used with the Super Game Boy attachment for the SNES hence the colour
