sir, to cut it short , Rafi saab's songs are not easy to sing or even hum sometimes as they are divine and beyond common man's strength . So the young generation doesnt take the trouble to listen and they also are quite insensitive & impatient ( sorry to say this ) its my observation and also one thing that goes against him is the sound quality of recordings as they were of old times.Most of them not in stereo.To Listen and understand a grt creation 1 also needs certain deg of the same quality

Yes..it is strange that he hasn't been recognized. Should have been done before his death. But everyone I know loves Rafi..and I know people refer to songs as "shammi/dilip songs" but they usually follow that with "who sang it? Rafi?" I know he hasn't got those awards and things, but the whole country knows who he is and loves his legendary voice.

Hindi and Urdu are both derived from "Kahri Boli", Hindi is related with the Aryan Language of Sanskrit written in Devnagri Aryan script, while Urdu borrows words from Persian/pharsi and Arabic and is written in Arabic (not Persian) script. However, both are languages which were created in India and thus both are India languages. Now enjoy the song and the music.
