Even though they are friends they have fought a few times due to differences in their beliefs. Superman is very law abiding and will almost always follow the orders of those in the government ect and he is an official hero , while batman is not really a hero endorsed by any governing bodies and is considered by most to be a vigilante . So there have been times when superman has been ordered to bring batman in and batman refuses. Id write in more detail but dont have enough letter left
