Well, of course it was fake...but who cares? It was a real genius moment in these guys' take on comedy. It's why they still are the top of the rubbish heap as far as comedy goes.

Absolute classic. I watched this when it was first broadcast and it was VERY risque then! I think the stage invasion was pretty obviously a set-up, but even that was VERY original at the time. Thanks for posting it!

Monty Python's humor was always based on shock value and surrealism, when you do shows to a laugh track, everyone laughs. When you do it to an audience yelling at you, you get what they were really looking for.

He said "she's in this sac" and the screamings are on porpuse. They have another sketch (a cannibal one) where the audience also invades the set. It's one more thing that made them diferent from EVERYBODY else...
