As an SEC and new soccer fan. I agree. In order for a sport to become apart of American popular culture, it needs to have a region that identifies with the sport. Cascadia latching on to soccer will be a big step for the sport.

WOW watching this makes me realize that "soccer" FOOTBALL is truly a loved sport in Portland. I hope one day every MLS team can have an exciting fan base as the Portland Timbers have. It would be very enjoyable to hear each team have their own unique song and chants. my LA GALAXY needs to do better chants and songs and should learn from the Timbers Army.
