  • PS - Although it might be a bit heavy for personal carry since it is ALL STEEL, that actually helps the recoil and hence the accurancy. I only plan to use this for home defense and target practice so the weight was not a prime concern. I have since bought the CZ rubber grips and it feels even BETTER. My only regret is I didn't get the Cold War editon for an extra 10 bucks, but being new to automatics, i was afraid I would get hammer bit! Should went iwth my first instinct!

  • @yairidy90 I misread your post - you did NOT get the Cold War edition - sorry about that. I don't think you should regret that decision. Being that this is your first semi-auto and first 9mm, you need to put it to work. The CW Edition is meant to be a collector's item (i.e. safe gun). I believe it is a very limited run. I personally believe you made the correct choice with the standard 75B.

  • @TheSoundBarrier Yes, only 999 made. But I wanted a gun I could shoot, not an investment so I guess I did OK. Not that I couldn't shoot the CW edition, but i would be tempted to just keep it in the box. The red star is kinda cool though. I would like a little quicker breaking trigger with less slack, any suggestions?

  • @yairidy90 Shooting a lot usually does a bit to slick things up in the trigger department. I'm guilty of usually only shooting my 75B in single action mode though, so I can't say the DA motion of my own trigger has gotten much better even with all the rounds I've put down range. Even in SA mode there is slack to deal with - manageable for me. There's a guy on YouTube named humbleshogun if I'm not mistaken; He does his own trigger jobs. You could always send it to Angus at the custom shop too.

  • I agree with all you said. I just got my 75B in January. My first semi-auto & first 9mm (had a 22 revolver for years and decided it was time to step up). Went to a range and shot a friends SIG 229 and loved it but wasn't prepared to shell out $800. Read up and decided a Springfiled XDm was what I would get. Went to the gun store and saw the CZ75b and thought what a great looking gun. Asked the store manager and he said it was his fav 9mm. Every bit as accurate as my friends SIG. Love it!

  • @yairidy90 The 75B is actually reminiscent of one of the greatest Sig pistols of all time - the P210. I'm glad you love your handgun - it's one you should keep forever. The Cold War edition, huh? That's pretty cool! I would love to see a video on that if you could post it. Although the CZ-75B is a bit heavy, it is quite flat compared to some choices out there -- so don't rule it out for just home defense.

  • Fantastic review!

  • My Cz-75b does drop all the way I wonder why? And I don't think its a comp model

  • @elibby071214 Drop all the way - the hammer?

  • @TheSoundBarrier No No Sorry the Mag drops out all the way lol

  • @elibby071214 Do even your empty mags drop out all the way? A fully loaded magazine - the weight of it - will override the brake and allow it to drop free.

  • @TheSoundBarrier

yeah but I bought it used its a 75b but the grip frame is od green and the slide is black, so I don't know if it had work done to it

  • is the 9mm better for self defense over the .40? 9mm should have a better accuracy than the .40 right? i dont know anything about guns...

  • @T1ger8oi It's okay. That subject has been argued to death online -- It's a question that will never receive a definitive answer. The ballistic charactersitics of a present day high quality 9mm cartridge are very similar to that of a modern high quality .40 caliber cartridge. Both are great choices. Statisically, the 9mm is more capable of match-grade accuracy than the .40S&W -- but most normal people wouldn't be able to differentiate between the two when accuracy comes into play.

  • @TheSoundBarrier i guess ill test both out. but i think ill end up buying a 9mm, a little bit better accuracy is good.

  • @T1ger8oi The accuracy to be gained from the 9mm really is negligible unless you're a world-class shot. Ballisticans will argue that the 9mm is able to give more consistent velocity measurements than the .40; hence its more unform accuracy. One real positive aspect of the 9 is that it's more affordable to shoot and easier to learn on because of the slower speed at which the slide reciprocates, which translates into less recoil. You'll be able to focus on fundamentals a bit more.

  • @TheSoundBarrier yea i need to start off with a gun with less recoil. too bad the shooting range in my area only rents out the cz in a .40.

  • @T1ger8oi If I can throw in my 0.02 cents.

Many Police dept's. have adopted the .40S&W because they believe it has better stopping power than the 9mm.

But I have heard some arguments against the .40 as well.

9mm is less expensive to shoot / practice with.

I think it's almost a case of splitting hairs.

9mm or .40cal , either one will serve in the defensive role.

  • Talk about reading off a script! Haha i enjoyed the review though. Ill b picking up my cz85b very soon for armed security.

  • @Five00700 I admit -- I did. I watch a lot of gun videos on YouTube, and find that I have an extremely hard time sitting through many of them due to the excessive, jumbled babbling that exists throughout. The 85B is a great choice.

  • Excellent review. Subbed you.

  • @BadWolf8333 Glad you enjoyed it, wolf.

  • I see mixed reviews on reliability, etc. I've carried Glock my whole life but want the pointability of a 1911 but don't feel I can buy any particular brand at a reasonable price that is consistently good. It's hit or miss. Plus I like 9mm. If this gun is reliable, I think I finally found a match.

  • @DrDurdenSoapCo CZ pistols are known for relentless reliability. You may want to have a look at the compact models as well - like the CZ-75B Compact, P-01, and PCR.

  • just put the down payment on mine today! super stoked, especially considering that ive never found a bad review on it.

  • @cnachreiner1 Gotta love layaway, cnachreiner1. Take good care of your CZ - you'll have it forever. Have fun!

  • I prefer the pre-B model but good luck finding one, and if you do be prepared to break the bank.

  • @WunderDoob I've always appreciated the appearance of the trigger guard on the pre-B.

  • I love my CZ 75PO1. My wife got it for me for my birthday. My favorite weapon in the house.

  • @imaknotz The P-01 is great! Hard to go wrong with it. I really like the aluminum frame - nice and light. I'm just not as big a fan of decocker pistols as I am of the safety equipped models. The PCR has intrigued me -- basically a rail-less P-01.

  • damn accurate is my CZ-85B

  • @nathoi Love the '85B.

  • @TheSoundBarrier got this in 1998.30,000 rounds fed and durability is still there.i love this amazing pistol.

  • @nathoi 30K rounds - that's incredible. Awesome.

  • That might be the very best pistol review I've ever seen. Great job and totally agree with you on the the slide...yes, it has a small slide grab area but I've NEVER had an issue getting it back.

I traded my Sig 226 in for a CZ 75B Omega because of the ergonomics, the natural point and because it was every bit as accurate.

These days the word is out on the CZ's so I see the price creeping but this is, without a doubt,, in the same world class category as Sig, Glock, Beretta or XD's

  • @humbleranger Thanks, humbleranger. I did leave out some key points for the sake of time though - such as how accurate the hammer forged barrel of this pistol is; the tight lockup of the twin lugs - not to mention several other features; such as the polished feed ramp and fully supported cartridge base. I'm glad there's another CZ fan out there. The Omega system has had my interest for a bit, but I've yet to try it. Take it easy. -TSB

  • @humbleranger I know, probably due to black ops, the cz75 got some attention. anyways, nice review.

  • Decocker model has drop free mags. Get a lighter hammer spring--improves accuracy and helps break in the trigger FASTER. Lighter hammer spring makes a world of difference in trigger smoothness.

  • @pccchurch Which decocker model? To my knowledge, the decocker equivalent of the pistol in the video, which would be the CZ-75 BD, is equipped with the same mag brake as the standard B model (i.e. mags don't drop free on the standard decocker CZ). However, some of the other CZ-75 variants have drop free mags; The decocker equipped P-01 for instance. The DA/SA CZ-75 B "Combat" drops the mags free as well. That feature isn't limited to decocker CZs - or one model of CZ for that matter.

  • @TheSoundBarrier

My bd drops free from the factory. I love it for quick reloads.

  • @pccchurch I stand corrected then. That's good to know. Thanks, church.

  • I love this weapon as well as my XD9. Both are great weapons.

  • @renarudo1 The XD feels great. Most people say the XD fits their hand well - much like the CZ pistols. Fit is so important with a handgun.

  • um...not to be a jackass who plays COD but can it realy be full auto?

  • @pivotnoob236 It's okay if you play video games - it's great entertainment! There is a military and LE select fire version of this pistol. So to answer your question, this pistol is not capable of F/A - but CZ does make a CZ-75 that is. Just like Glock makes the Glock 18 for military and LE - It's just a select fire Glock 17.

  • @pivotnoob236 at least you didnt act like you knew everything about guns because you play COD, like must people do on gun videos

  • Nice review, good talking about the feeling of the gun. that's what i really wana hear haha. Makes a glock look like a brick.. so true

  • Is it okay to dry fire the CZ 75B?

  • Man, what a sexy beast

  • got mine a few weeks ago and havnt picked up my glock 17 since. they are so comfortable, accurate and natural to shoot. mine is a 85b. i took it to the range today and everyone who shot it loved it. hitting apples at 25yds with ease. im surprised they arent more popular

  • Good review , thanks.

  • Very well done, man! I love my CZ75b!

  • @dudespin Me too!

  • Hi! My favorite pistol is Glock 17 in caliber 9x19. I also like CZ75. With best regards from Ukrainian shooters.

  • @TheSoundBarrier I was wondering whats better? The CZ-75B or the CZ-75 SP-01?

  • @whitewolfvids1 I can't say one is better than the other. I personally prefer the 75B over the SP-01. I'm just not a fan of the big dustcover/light rail or the recurve trigger on the SP-01. They are both really great guns - each have their own advantages. In the end though, they're essentially the same gun; when you're talking straight mechanics.

  • @TheSoundBarrier I know what I am buying then thanks! ^^

  • Great video, I appreciate the fact that you took the time to use an outline and have your talking points organized. Most youtube video posters don't do this and they just ramble on and on BLAH BLAH BLAH, Ummmm, AHHHHHH, ummmmmmm Etc.

    Very nice, thanks for posting.

  • @commonsense369 lol Thanks.

  • that was quality legit

  • Great review. I want one!

  • @YouBeToobing If you want one, get one! That's what I say... Unfortunately I can't do that every time I want something. Glad you liked it. See ya!

  • Really looking forward to getting mine. What a great looking piece. Thanks for the great review. Outstanding!

  • @AlbinVega1865 Enjoy it!

  • @TheSoundBarrier Is this gun able to attach tactical flashlights?

  • @379peterbilt530 No. That's what I liked about this model; the lack of a bulky rail. The SP-01 variant of the CZ-75B (also made by CZ) may be what you are looking for. The smaller P-01 has a rail as well. They're all great guns.

  • i shot this gun at the range yesterday and i loved it!

  • @379peterbilt530 Nice! I'd like to get another one at some point, just to have. I'd just keep it in the box. It's always good to have two of things you like. I'm serious though! It is a great pistol. See ya, 379peterbilt530.

  • wish i could have guns here

  • @arthasbr Maybe someday you'll get your wish. I'm not familiar with Brazil's gun laws, but that's too bad if the law prohibits law abiding citizens from owning guns. "Brazil’s murder rate is more than four times higher than that of the U.S. Rates for other crimes are similarly high. The majority of crimes are not solved." -travel.state.gov; It has been proven time and time again that restrictive gun laws do not prevent violent criminal acts. It is beyond me why governments implement said laws.

  • @TheSoundBarrier amen to that, and what is more stupid here is that we civillian can only have pistols .380 (maximum caliber allowed) and "IF" we got the right to have a gun the law says we can only use at home for selfdefense, we cant carry it with us. So at the end, getting a simple .380 pistol would cost almost half of a car here xD. Probably as a civillian, legally I would never have a simple pistol

GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE

  • @sorcerio I've put lots of rounds through my 75B. It feeds everything, except aluminum cased ammo; in my experience that is. The extractor claw sort of ripped past the rim of the case - had a few failure to extracts. Other than that, I've tried a bit of everything with this pistol. The exaggerated feed ramp really does a great job with feeding reliability. I like Winchester White Box for punching paper - affordable and accurate for me. I haven't had problems with any ammo except CCI aluminum.

  • good video.

  • @JobanFace Thanks, JobanFace. See you later.

  • Thank you for such a well presented review of this weapon. I own the 75b in the 9mm stain finish. I purchsed it from my father, and although I prefere .40 cal ( both my H&K p2000sk and my glock model 23 ) I have to agree that this is one of the best fiearms I own. The instant comfort and ease of target aqueision really do off set the larger size and wieght. Keep up the good work.

  • @TheSniperfodder Yeah, the feel is really hard to beat. I like all handguns, and I think the .40 is a great cartridge too. There's just something about the CZ though. Everyone who picks on up says, "That feels good!" Maybe we should try out the .40 CZ75B? I've always been curious about that one. Thanks for watching.

  • If you aren't comfortable with condition 1, they do offer the CZ-75 BD which is the same weapon except it does have a de-cocker.

  • @Wilson1592 Wilson1592 is correct -- but remember; with the standard model you aren't limited to condition one. The standard model still has the benefits of the BD model in terms of having the ability to go from a hammer down first shot in DA mode. However, some people may be more comfortable with the CZ-75BD because there's no risk involved in dropping the hammer on a loaded chamber with the decocker; as opposed to manually lowering the hammer on a loaded chamber with the standard model.

  • i shoot IPSC here in the Philppines . my other 2 pistols is a sig 226 and a colt 1911 . The sigs trigger mechanism is not quite good compare to the CZ and the barrel is polygonal too . It has a disadvantage here bec. we dont use FMJ for competing usually its teflon coated lead ammo only to make it cheaper .

  • @40calfmj I've always wanted to try IPSC.

  • @TheSoundBarrier try it just look for a friend or a instructor how to guide u :-)

  • @40calfmj Thank you.

  • i love this psitol i got most of my trpohies from this one better than my the other 9mm. barrel isvery accurate.

  • @40calfmj I love it too, and yes sir -- this pistol is very accurate if you do your part. What is your other pistol, and what organization do you compete with?

  • @40calfmj I got my full size CZ75 in "omega" version.............I got more than I expected..........a very accurate, tough as nail gun with good trigger, light recoil and nice ergonomics for my large hands! .........Greetings from Pakistan!

  • @MrAtharbutt sir wats an omega version can u email to me the picture?

  • @40calfmj Sir Omega is the recent model introduced by CZ. it comes with improved trigger mechanism, poly coat finish, tritium sights and beaver tailed thumb safety. I tried to e-mail you its pics but delivery error occurred.

  • @MrAtharbutt my email address is ipsc2xtap@yahoo.com

  • @MrAtharbutt tnx sir i recieved ur email , very nice and happy shooting :-)

  • @40calfmj You r welcome man............!

  • very well done review! going to check it out next time at the range

  • @memento286 Have fun.

  • Very nice video!! Well done, clear and filled with great info. Thank you.

  • @Super64heavy Thanks, heavy. I'm thinking about making a short follow up video to this. I tried to touch on only the key points in this video; in an attempt to keep it brief. There are some more features of the gun that I'd like to showcase -- such as the fully supported feed ramp and Browning style lock up, among others. Glad you liked the video. See ya later.

  • im getting one because you thanks.

  • @dssin Cool, dssin. I hope you enjoy it.

  • hi bud, was watching yet again! I still love this vid! Very well done! A question, do the cz-85,s drop their mags free? I want a cz-85 because my wife and I both are functionally ambidextrous. thanks again. Watch my channel for some upcoming vids!

  • @Red9Man763 Thanks, man. There were still a few details I could have touched on, but I wanted to keep it short. The CZ-85B Combat's mags drop free -- the CZ-85B does not, as far as I'm aware. The "Combat" also has an adjustable rear sight. I will check your channel out -- looking forward to seeing your new pistol. Take it easy.

  • i am a gun guy, but have never handled a cz. is it similar to a barretta?

  • @1973timc It is similar to the Beretta - but different as well, my friend. I'm assuming you're speaking of the Beretta M9/92. Both are traditionally 9mm. Both feed from double stack magazines. Both are hammer fired. Both are Single Action/Double Action. Both have external safety devices. However, the CZ is unique from the Beretta because it has the ability to be presented in a hammer back, safety on fashion. Plus, the slide design is synonymous with CZ. Try them both - both are excellent.

  • I might be getting a CZ75b, so you can install new sights? If I got one I'd put on some front and back tritium night sights, is that possible on this pistol?

  • @Ninety9Soulz Yes, it is possible. The rear sight would be easier the easier of the two to replace -- both are installed differently. There are many people who swap both the rear and front sights out, just like you're considering.

  • @TheSoundBarrier Ah ok thanks, good review by the way

  • Did you realize your pistol has the original 85 Combat trigger? Did you put it on? I know I'd prefer it over the "new re-curve" triggers that come stock nowadays.

  • @rogermcgee1 I'm with you on your preference of this style trigger over the re-curve triggers that have become more commonplace as of late. The full size CZ-75B still comes stock with the standard trigger though - same as the CZ-75B 9mm compact and CZ-85B and 85 Combat. The only models that have re-curve triggers are the newer (I guess they're not that new anymore) variations of the '75 -- i.e. SP-01, P-01, P-06, P-07, CZ-75D PCR, etc... Those are still great guns, despite the odd trigger.

  • @TheSoundBarrier My Stainless CZ 75B that I got in August 2010 came with the newer "re-curve" trigger. Hope to replace it soon (as soon as CZ Custom Shop gets more original 85 Combat triggers in)

  • @rogermcgee1 That's really disappointing to hear. I was not aware that they were putting those triggers onto the stainless 75s at the factory. Their website doesn't reflect that either -- what a bummer. Have you seen any of the current Polycoat 75B models? I haven't been to the shop in a bit -- was curious if you knew whether or not those standard finish Polycoat models were getting this treatment you speak of as well.

  • @TheSoundBarrier That I don't know. I'll be going by the store this week. I'll check one out then and let you know.

  • @rogermcgee1 Thanks, Roger -- much appreciated.

  • Why do you keep riding the hammer down? Riding the hammer will cause more wear than dry firing. Dry firing will not harm any modern firearm with a rim-fire being the only exception.

  • @jamesjr934 This pistol does not have a decocking mechanism to lower the hammer on a loaded chamber. That being said, the hammer of the CZ-75B has actually been designed by Ceska Zbrojovka to be manually lowered . There is absolutely no harm done in manually lowering the hammer on a DA/SA CZ-75B. You learn something new every day, right? The only way to prevent wear on one of these guns is to refrain from firing it. Thanks anyway for trying to help out & thanks for watching. Take care.

  • @thesoundbarrier yea no problem. If your happy with it, well that's all that matters. Like they say " if it aint broke don't fix it" but if you ever decide to. Check out the video from humbleshogun. Called cz75b tuning. On utube. The great thing is if you don't like it you can always put it back. Its been a pleasure my cz brother.

  • @TheKcdub1000 I actually scoped your channel out the other day, after you first posted, and discovered that you favorited a few of humbleshogun's videos. I visited his channel and actually talked with him a bit on one of his video threads. He seems like a good YouTuber. I subbed to his channel. See you later, Kcdub.

  • Its really not to bad. If you go to the cz forum and then the smithing section they have detailed instructions with pics. You just need some punches, and a mallet. Just swap out for a single action only trigger and remove the disconnector from the hammer. The hardest part is removeing the disconnector. The hammer pins are a pain. If you have a vice it helps alot.

  • @TheKcdub1000 I frequent that forum, but I've never stepped into the 'smithing section. I think I'll scope it out. I'm happy with my current trigger, but anything gun related interests me. Thanks for the response.

  • Very well spoken. I just got one of these bad boys. I love this gun. I wasn't to happy with all the travel in the trigger. So I got the single action trigger with the pre and over travel adj. And a comp. Hammer. Now I would have to say its as good if not better than my para 1911 ssp. Very cheap to turn this guns trigger into something special. Give the old trigger bar a good polishing while your in there and you wont want to shoot any other pistol with a stock trigger. What a great gun.

  • @TheKcdub1000 Thanks, TheKcdub1000. How difficult was it to swap over to the single action trigger?

  • this is going to be my first pistol for sure

  • @rumpeltiezerwash It's a very manageable pistol - so it would make a great first pistol. It points very naturally as well, so you can focus on the fundamentals without any distractions. Good luck.

  • Great review, looks nice, wish I could try one :0

  • do you always keep one in the chamber?

  • @fragglegobo Absolutely.

  • I just got an SP01 two weeks ago and it is hard for me to put it down. It is so much fun to shoot it is highly addictive in every way. I really want a stainless 75b now!!!

  • @xoticgunnut Wow, the SP-01 is a badass variant of the 75. Congratulations on picking it up! Did you get the version with the safety or the version with the decocker? If I obtained a stainless '75, that'd be a safe gun for sure - very attractive looking.

  • Bill Jordan liked this pistol because has a trigger like a double action revolver single action features like a 1911 and safety features like both a DA revolver and a 1911. With all that said it also has very manageable recoil.

  • @GothChristianPatriot Yes, and it's very adaptable to different shooting styles because of those features. The recoil is indeed very manageable -- even with hot +P cartridges (because of the steel frame and slide-within-frame design). I'd really like another.

  • That was a great review!

My EAA P-carry 10mm is a similar design.

    I would love a CZ 40 cal.

  • @ebomey I wish CZ made a 10mm. You should get one of the .40 caliber '75s, ebomey! I think I remember watching a video of yours concerning how EAA gave you a rough time through sub-par customer service. I'm pretty sure that was you; I watch lots of gun-related videos on YouTube and get mixed up with some of the YouTubers sometimes. See you later.

  • @TheSoundBarrier

    Yes, that was me.

I could over look bad service for a great gun!

  • @ebomey With you there. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Take it easy.

  • I have this habit of only using new brass. I have always shot brass. I rather pleased with it. I have only had one jam and I feel that was my error. To top it off on Fathers Day my wife and 7 month gave me s gift of a life time Colt 45 ACP 1911. It's heavy being all metal. It will nit be my duty firearm. Like it too.

  • Thanks for the comment. Went through about 200 rounds now. I still have another 200 rounds left. I like to keep that many on hand for all five of my guns. You have a great day.

  • @DennyRec It'll eat whatever you throw at it. The only thing mine has had trouble cycling is ammuntion with aluminum cases. The extractor does not like that soft metal.

  • Just wanted you to know, my CZ-75B got here. I have this to say, IT IS A GREAT FIREARM. There is nothing not to like about it. In shooting it's accurate. Your video helped me decide on purchasing it. Thanks so much

  • @DennyRec You bet! Have fun with your great new handgun. Now go buy some ammo! Take care.

  • hmmmmm..... dont own any guns that werent made before 1945...... but this has made me consider........

  • Excellent video! I have long wanted a cz-75. Up to this point in time, I have been a browning hi-power man. I think I will now retire my BHP and carry a cz-75! I also love the cz-82. Once again thanks for a concise and well done video. Hope you do a lot more!

  • @Red9Man763 Thanks. The old Browning P-35 Hi-Power is truly one of the greatest handguns ever designed. I'd really like to own one soon. Don't get rid of yours. The CZ is no slouch either -- both incredible guns.

  • Great vid, great gun. I own a CZ85 Combat, a slightly sporterized version (no firingpin safety, dropfree magazines, LDA microsights...), best pistol I have.

    Keep it up!

  • Wow, nice review on that pistol..sounded very professional!

  • nice cz75 with deadly holow point you got .

thnks for adding me as a friend .

  • @sonichedgie You bet man I was checking out that wicked 747 video you favorited on your channel -- pretty cool. Take it easy.

  • @CesarR1872 I AGREE WHAT FITS ONE MIGHT NOT BE IDEAL FOR ANOTHER

  • Nice pistol! Any thoughts on the 9mm ammo your using? I have heard that the 124 gr. bullets have a lighter recoil. Dino

  • @adamador It really depends on what you're comparing those 124 grain bullets to. I personally believe the Golden Sabers (+P) have a good amount of pop to them in terms of recoil -- but really; in an all steel pistol, much of that is soaked up through the weight and design of the gun.

  • Great Video..... I have the CZ-75 SP-01 and the XDM .45acp for HD.....both are great & accurate guns in my opinion but the CZ feels alot more natural & comfortable in my hand.....Alot of people are not aware how great these CZ's are. ......If I had to choose one I would choose the CZ.

  • I HAVE HAD BETTER LUCK WITH .45 ACP THAN 9MM.

  • @microminiskirt To each his own. I love both cartridges. Good luck to you.

  • HOW MUCH DO THESE 9MM CZ'S COST? I PREFER .45 ACP. MORE ACCURATE.

  • @microminiskirt These are within the "$500 range." They can be had for less. I disagree with you in saying that .45ACP is "more accurate." That is a very subjective statement. There are many variables that come into play when talking about accuracy. The 9mm can be very accurate and the .45 ACP can be very accurate. Both are excellent cartridges. Both have the capability of exhibiting match grade accuracy.

  • Just to let you know, I called my firearms dealer and we is going to order it today for me. He said it should be here in seven to ten days when I ordered it. That's fine for me. O think the price is fair too, it's below cost on CZ web page. Once again thanks for the review and I will be watching more of your videos. Later

  • @DennyRec No problem, Denny. Glad to be of help to you in your decision making process. Yes sir, they are usually priced right. Have fun and be safe.

  • Thank u for asking me to sub. I own a S&W, 2 Taurus'. I have thinking of purchasing a CZ 9 or 45. The review has sold me on the 9 mm. Thanks for sharing

  • CZ really limits your options for a .45 caliber model. They currently only have one .45 available. I'd like to see that change. Have fun with your new 9mm.

  • Agreed that the Glock is more chunky. I have a Gen 4 Glock 31 that is more ergonomic, but still is not as good as a CZ in the hand. Does this CZ75 have the same loading platform as the Glock ? (Feeds almost directly into the chamber or rely on the feed ramp?)

  • @frankgon4 Many guns (not all) feel chunky in comparison to CZs, but I thought the Glock would be a great point of reference to explain the ergonomics; since even inexperienced shooters are usually familiar with the G19/G23/G32 variant. To answer your question: The CZ-75B has a fully supported chamber and is reliant upon a polished feed ramp -- one of the gun's best features. The gun just eats ammo.

  • @TheSoundBarrier Thanks. Glock does not rely very heavily on the feed ramp. Bullets feed almost directly into the chamber. I believe this is where there legendary reliability comes from. With the magazine inserted, you can see how high up the bullet is to entering the chamber. The 1911 rounds usually are very low and strike the bottom part of the ramp as they were originally designed for round ball and not hollow point. I think the CZ ergonomics are excellent.

  • @frankgon4 The Glock's "legendary reliability" is fantasy. I've seen Glocks jam - both mine and those of others. I've seen various Glock pistols repeatedly FTF and FTE, with JHP and FMJ ammo from various manufacturers. At any rate, any firearm - being mechanical; is capable of exhibiting a malfunction. A more pronounced feed ramp in place of the almost nonexistent Glock feed ramp could improve reliability. 1911s work fine with hollow point ammo - the feed ramp has no ill effect. Off subject...

  • @TheSoundBarrier ...I don't want to turn this into a Glock basher thread though. I like my Glock just fine.

  • @TheSoundBarrier BETTER STICK WITH REVOLVERS. I HAVE SEEN A GLOCK 17 JAM DUE TO LIMP WRIST. THEN AGAIN I HAVE SEEN REVOLVERS CYLINDERS SEIZE UP.

  • @microminiskirt In this day and age, semi-automatics do not suffer in the reliability department in comparison to revolvers. As you said yourself, revolvers are capable of malfunctioning (just like anything mechanical). It really is a crap shoot between the two action types; and in the end it ultimately comes down to personal preference.

  • @FirearmsPlus Subbed back. I'll be checking back with your channel.

  • @Pill88Dickle The 85 is excellent for people who are wrong handed. It's great for righties too. You never know when you'll need to use your other hand. The 85 is very versatile for that reason.

  • Wow, I am impressed. You certainly know a lot about the CZ. You talk about the low bore access and the recoil coming straight back. This is the #1 reason why this pistol is so comfortable to shoot. I love the Browning style handguns, but there are several things I don't like about the CZ. You have done your homework and that is a very nice weapon you have there.

  • @ImRamro Yep, pros and cons to everything. Fortunately though, this pistol has a lot of good things going for it.

  • Pretty cool. So that's why I like shooting the 75B... Don't own own one though. I'm a looking at the CZ 82 in the makarov caliber. That low bore thing maybe why . I wonder if I were to get a beat up 82, someone would be able to refinish it in that proprietary finish?

  • @raimundough The CZ 82 is a very cool gun! I believe CZ offers a factory new variant of that pistol, dubbed the CZ 83 -- it's not available in the 9mm Makarov like the 82 was though; only .32 and .380. It's still a very similar gun. The CZ 82 can be bought on the surplus market. I don't think anyone but CZ has the capability to apply Polycoat. There are, however, a number of other re-finishing options. Check out Cerakote.

  • @TheSoundBarrier Yeah, I saw an 82 at a gun show done up nicely with deep bluing and custom rose wood grips. They were asking $600. Kind of a lot for a $200 gun that's been beautified...
