@icantseeyou2 You should probably select the shader from the hypershade and from the the menu go to Graph input and output connections and it should show as a node in the hypershade window that you can then select. Hope that helps.
@deepfriedectoplasm Thank you!! BTW if I want to make a an animation that shows the "water" comes down, how can I make the fluid go straight down from the beginning? Cuz now the fluid I made looks like an arrow in the beginning, thanks again!
@icantseeyou2 Yes, you need to set the fluids initial state, that is, if you look in the menu for fluid effects you will see a choice for "set initial state", so play the animation up to the point where it looks right and then (with the fluid selected_Highlighted) go to the menu and set the initial state, also, when you are done making any changes you may want to go to the Fluid nCache menu and choose "Create New Cache" to put the effect into memory so to speak.
@iloveXH558 OK...so here's an idea, create a 558 model in Maya and do a comp in AfterEffects with it zooming around and in between your toes and stuff with a soundtrack set to the Flight of the Bumble Bees or something....just a thought! Good luck with all your stuff!
@Kcrystel For the moment I'm on 2011, there's some cool new stuff in 20112 and I'll be upgrading soon but for now the 2011 tutorials that I create are certainly the same for 2012. Even the tutorials I created with 2009 are the same for 2011 and 2012, although the interface is slightly different.
Hey! Thanks a lot, this was so very helpful. Also, the results look little more better if we enable the "Enable liquid simulation" under Liquids for the FluidObject. Again, thanks so much.
you always have the best tutorials. I love how u work backwards, you always show different ways to do something, whether its the right way or wrong way, during the process of of doing it the best way.
Hey man! Just found your tutorials. These are great, your voice is soothing and your flow perfect. Def. subscribed!

Hi Stuart, why can't I find FluidShade in my outliner? All I can see is a FluidEmitter1 parented to Fluid1....
