@redstartn ?Thanks. Im glad you dig it. I never thought about or noticed the light touch. I guess when I write songs, I approach the drumming in a fusion type of touch. No need to bash and kill the drums. Thats what mics are for....right ?
@allmetaliswelcome Yep. I will be offering alot of songs for download. My lack of youtube video up loads is due to my switching focus from drums to producing, engineering, writing, and mixing over the last year and a half or so. Theres soooo much to learn. It takes time. Thanks for your interest. I mean that.
@darthjoey13 I havent tryed them yet. These are Sabian Duos. They were originally marketed towards jazz drummers. I have 6, 8, 10, and 12 inch splashs. 14" hats, 16" crash, 18 and 20 inch rides and two chinas 16" and 18" Im using all but the 14" hats and 12" splash in this video.
@INFLAMES5274 Thanks. The main Hi Hats are a hybrid thing I whipped together for recording. Ive used them on blues, pop, death metal, fusion and country sessions. Its a 14" Sabian AA regular bottom. The top is a 14" Hand Hammered Dark Hat. Both are regular finish. (That really makes a difference.) I stumbled upon them in a pile of mis-matched clearance cymbals at a music store. They are the best main hats I have EVER had the pleasure to play. Id take a bullet for them!
@billycanty ahhh i see. ive been looking for new hihats lately and havent had any luck finding anything i liked. but yours sound like just what im looking for!
i can tell you going fast with your bass drum but i can't really hear it how close is your mic don't get me wrong i love this kind of stuff but i can't hear the bass drum hardly at all at 46 seconds
@SuperGilbs Thanks for your comment. As I mentioned in the video discription. This isnt the final mix. There are no lead guitar parts and no automation on any tracks. I just threw the faders up and bounced it to disk. The bass drums will be louder in those parts for the final mix but not much more. Thats where the lead guitar parts are.. But that will be on the CD. I wont be uploading to youtube right away. Any other things pop out at you that could be fixed?
dude you are awesome playing

Prog is one of the most respectable genre's in the sense that you have to be original in every way to get anything remotely cool. Respect.
