I thought the only people who cared about the things you did while being out of your mind were yourself and the two other guys who managed to get as smashed. Apparently I was wrong by the amount of people who saw this movie and the positive buzz about it. I had a problem with about everything in The Hangover. But then again, what do I know about movies? Look at my #1. ;)

  • After I saw "alive in Johannesburg," I couldn't wait to see "District 9". It's kind of a coincidence because both "9" and "District 9" were both short films beforehand. However, "District 9" works a lot better than "9" as a feature film.

Though to be fair there aren't that many other films that came out this year that I've seen.

I'm really looking forward to Up. I don't know why we have to wait until October for it here.

  • 1. District 9

    2. Star Trek

    3. GI Joe (a guilty pleasure)

    4. Hangover

Everyting else I saw was either mediocre (terminator salvation) or terrible (transformers 2, Wolverine)

  • 1: The Hangover

    2: Harry Potter 6

    3: Bruno

...and that's pretty much it. I haven't seens any other new good films this summer. Of course, I haven't seen Up, Star Trek and District 9...

  • 1. District 9

The worst was G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra

  • Top Ten? lol sorry 10. Drag Me to Hell 9. The Hangover 8. Harry Potter 6 7. Moon 6. The Hurt Locker 5. Star Trek 4. Inglourious Basterds 3. District 9 2. (500) Days of Summer 1. Up

    4.The Hangover

    3.District 9

    2.Drag Me to Hell

    1.Up

  • Tie for second place, so there is no third place.

  • I liked transformers in an Imax theater.

  • Can't think of a list right now but my favorite was Drag Me To Hell.

  • 1 - District 9

    2 - Inglorious Basterds

    3 - Star Trek

    4 - Up

    5 - Harry Potter 6

  • I can't choose which is best so, in no particular order....

    1. District 9

    2. The Hurt Locker

    3. The Hangover

    4. Inglorious Bastards

    5. Moon

    All very good

My worst/ biggest disapointment was definately Transformers 2. Their was so much action and CGI and I still found it hard not to doze off, I hate that film it's only redeeming quality is Megan Fox and that doesn't really count for shit.

  • Did you have a cold when you recorded this, it sounds like you do, by the way great list fury.

  • yeah man been sick all weekend.

  • 1. Harry Potter 6

    2. Star Trek

    3. District 9

  • 1. district 9

    2. The Taking of Pelham 123

    3.transformers 2

    4. Terminator Salvation

    5. X-Men Origins: Wolverine i didn't see that many movies this summer but thats not why i picked this idid bcuz they are good films

and also fuck anyone who saids transformers 2 was bad

  • Wow, you're immature. You have to accept our opinions, okay?

  • 1. District 9

    2. Up

    3. The Hangover

    4. Star Trek

    5. Terminator Salvation

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is bad, even though it`s not as awful as X-Men 3 was, Revenge of the Fallen is a huge insult to the Transformers franchise, and I don`t know about G.I. JOE though.

  • I've noticed the 10 most commonly picked films were Up, District 9, Star Trek, The Hangover, Inglorious Basterds, Terminator Salvation, The Hurt Locker, Moon, Drag Me to Hell, and believe it or not Transformers 2 (Not disrespecting anyones opinion on TF2 by saying that.)

  • 5.Up

    4.Star Trek

    3.Inglorious basterds

    2.The hurt locker

    1.District 9

    4. Funny People

    3. Star Trek

    2. Up

    1. District 9

Honerable Mentions: The Hangover, Drag Me to Hell and The Taking of Pelham 123

  • 1. Inglourious Basterds

    2. District 9

    3. Public Enemies

    4. Moon

    5. Coraline (it was a summer film in Britain)

  • I don't get the love for The Hangover. I really don't. It was fucking boring imo and rarely funny

  • I didn't think it wasn't bad. I thought it was relatively funny. But I agree, it wasn't that good, and a bit overrated by most people. I saw far better comedies last year.

  • 1. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

    2. The Final Destination

    3. G.I. Joe

    4. Year One

    5. Orphan

All 5 of those movies are masterpieces that will entertain audiences for generations to come! Transformers 2 is ranked right up there with From Justin To Kelly as the greatest film ever made!!!!!!

I'm just kidding. All 5 of those films sucked

I can't really think of a list but I did like your list and a couple more movies along the way, I'd say this was a pretty good summer for film

  • 5-x-men origins

Watchmen (10/10) is NOT a summer film, it came out in March, you dumbasses. This was a weak summer imo.

    2. star trek

    3. drag me to hell

    4. hangover

    5. watchmen

  • 1. District 9

  • Great list Fury!

  • All you idiots who choose Watchmen are fuckin' morons. That film just shows how hollywood is fucked up and cant make any original ideas and depend on name value. I dont give a shit if the film is good or not, its a fuckin' disgrace to comic books and makes hollywood look like a disgrace.

  • Jesus christ, shut the fuck up you "Holier Than Thou" comic book fanatic who thinks he's oppinion is obviously the best.

    Just STFU an GTFO

  • 5. Up (loved it, but not my favorite Pixar film)

    4. Star Trek (loved it, but was never into Star Trek before this movie)

    3. The Hangover (best "non-Apatow" production in a while)

    2. Terminator Salvation (big terminator fan and was happy that this was different from the first three movies)

    1. District 9 (an instant classic and blew me away with how good it looked despite it's 30 million dollar budget)

    2. Star Trek

    3. Up

    4. Hangover

    5. Public Enemies

Worst Movie of the Summer: Year One

  • The worst movie of the Summer is not just Year One. But, Transformers 2, Halloween 2, G-Force, Land of the Lost, and The Final Destination.

  • Don't forget Wolverine

  • I don't think X-Men Origins: Wolverine was bad. Sure, it wasn't Citizen Kane, but it's not bad.

  • It's bad, but certainly better than X3, thats for sure.

  • Agreed. But, I thought X-Men Origins: Wolverine was mediocre. Not bad, though. X-Men 3, it was awful. It makes Catwoman look like Gone With the Wind.

  • Thank You, finally another person besides me that thought Year One was the Worst Movie Of The Year! What a pile that movie was!

  • But, I've seen worse... Transformers 2.

  • Transformers 2 wasn't that bad, just not the best. The humor was dumb as shit, but the effects were A+. But Year One, everything sucked about it. Humor, acting, everything. I hardly ever fall asleep in a movie at the theatres, but Year One, Jesus Christ, I had a good 1 and 1/2 hour sleep from that one (short as hell I might add which is good/bad.) A movie would have to intentionally suck like Disaster Movie or any Uwe Boll film to be any worse... But hey, everyones got an opinion.

  • I do agree on the effects. Transformers 2's effects were so great, that at least the special effects guys actually worked their asses off. They worked harder than the writers, and the other crew of this film.

  • Yeah, the writing was pretty bland and the plot has been done a million times before in this genre, bad guy wants power, good guys stop them and kick their ass, yeah, amazing. But when you think about it, the two writers of this film (Alex Kurtsman and Roberto Orci) wrote the new Star Trek movie aswell, which kicked ass, at the same time as this movie. I'm sure if they devoted more time to this movies writing, the story and humor could have been way better.

  • And besides, I wonder what they'll do in Transformers 3? Could it be Unicron, but Michael Bay could make that robot gay?

  • Year One was Michael Cera and Jack Black playing Michael Cera and Jack Black.

  • If someone comes up to me and says "I like Year One" I won't do the obvious thing like call them an idiot or anything like that, I will actually respect them more, (not because they gave their honest opion or anything like that), but because if someone likes Year One, they have been given God-like powers, because no mortal human being in the world could like that movie.

  • Well sadly I didn't get to see a whole lot of movies this summer. But my top 5 is

    1. Terminator 4

    2. Fast & the furious 4.

    3. Transformers 2.

And well that's about it. Though I would love to add District 9 and Gamer to the list if I can somehow manage to see them in the cinema.

  • My favorite movies of Summer 09 (May 1-September 4th) are...

    6. Up

    5. The Hangover

    4. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

    3.Star Trek

    4. Star Trek

    5. Up

Close choice for 5- The Hangover

  • I'm betting most the budget to Hollywood films goes towards the producers, directors and stars, leading to inflation and devaluation of amounts like, say, $100 million to less than a fifth of that.

  • 5. Gi joe

    4. Terminator 4

    3. Star Trek

    2. Drag me To hell
