My favourite part of this video: watching you jump into the drivers seat so effortlessly. I'm 6"4 and it's nowhere near as graceful getting into my Exige S. The ride makes up for it all though :)
That guy is making out with a butt hole. Jeez yo. Stop kissing ass and give a review. "rides really soft" Yeah i can tell by the still camera, and track oriented cars aren't suppose to be soft. "these seats are really comfortable" Did you... just get in... the car? Seats that "carve to meet the architecture of your back". um, do they have rice in asia?
@ColorJustinTheLines Justin, you'd have to recognize the difference between a critical review and a sales video. ChicagoCarsDirect is a car dealership---he's here to sell vehicles, not try to find faults in them and broadcast opinions.
Great review. Looking at an '07 Exige, used, and can't wait to get it in my garage. Sounds like a Stage 2/3 is in order... hang with those 240/260's. Have a Yamaha R1, but it's getting a little cold. It's like a crotch-rocket on four wheels with a roof.
I 'll never understand who would want a sports car in silver or grey. Maybe a balding Porsche owner in his mid-40s, but a Lotus owner? It makes no sense.
@coandcaiv It's not strange. Developing their own motor would significantly add to the cost of the car. Plus, the Toyota engine is reliable, light, and puts out over 10hp/L, which is pretty good. I've had my Elise for four years and haven't had a problem.
i haven't been a fan of lotus because of it's too low seat. drove one and my bakc hurts like hell, well, not until i met lotus evora. you didn't do a review of it?
@chinkcochen Determining a car's performance is more than just looking at its HP. You have to consider agility and weight, among other things. The Exige has comparable power-to-weight ratio of Corvettte C6, but I don't see anyone asking for more HP from that car. It does 0-60 in 4 seconds. That's fast enough. And the cornering is awesome. Drive one and you'll understand. Lotuses are not cars you can rate on paper. You have to experience them. Ask any own. I'm one.
@sentravq Your legs are straight enough when you drive that it doesn't. However, sometimes the passenger's knee may get in the way if they sit wrong. They readjust, though, and problem solved. Not really an issue. Once you get in, the cockpit is very ergonomic and well-designed.
Once you sit in this you feel like nothing compares to it. I was in the elise sc when I figured it was worth it. The exige is brilliant because that sound of performance is right behind you.
Another amazing video Chris. For all the Ferraris and Lambourghinis in the world, I always find the The Exige s is my favourite car in the world next to the Mini Cooper S works gp. What is the visibility like in the exige?
i would of like more info like, the type of oil it uses, and recommended, type of gas used, And The dudes height, so i can see ease for someone who is taller, to compare.
My favorite part of this video: high quality interior sound. The sound of the supercharger is so loud inside, it definitely takes the fun and multiplies it times two, and this video did a great job capturing how it actually sounds.

Would you recommend the Exige over the Evora? This is concerning convenience and functions.
ADAMBOMB245 6 months ago
@ADAMBOMB245 THE EVORA IS MORE LIKE A FAMILY CAR, AS IT HAS 4 SEATS ETC...BUT IF YOU WANT A RACING ONE GO FOR THE EXIGE!

@mohamaddoski
Driving cars hard that were designed from the ground up to be driven even harder isn't "beating on them."

Why do they even sell them in the US? It hasn't got a fart-machine V8 - rednecks would be so confused.

Not sure I would want to buy this car after you abused it like that!! But I know what you'll say: "This car is designed to be driven like that"

@daedelous Too be honest, I hate silver or grey cars, but for some reason when they have that evil grey look, it's sometimes pretty sexy.
