Well, to be fair, Omega was originally a robot when he was first introduced in the old Final fantasy games...much older than FF8 :P. I do agree that the final fantasy 8 Ultima & omega weapons are epic tho =].

get him with only 3k hp then u know what power he has.

i still hope they bring out a dlc boss for the cap level cuz lighting isnt hard at cap at all =/

@Vuperdrew It has a crystal drop rate like any monster (no one knows how much). Good luck I had to beat him 10 times before getting his crystal! (for Lightning took me only 4 times)

@Ryuz4ki57 are you serious? that's retarded, you should get the any monster as an ally always but mainly if it was the first one you killed in battle, thats so dumb its just random and with something like that of beating omega and you might not even get it, fuck...

@VayuPurana I agree some of the drop rates are retarded (Chocobos took me countless encounters to get them) et Omega/Lightning should be 100% drop since you PAY for it. But in the end it's not that bad if you have the fragment skill that increases the rate and that you're careful to finish them with a synchronized attack.

@VayuPurana No, a synchronized attack (as it is written in Japanese, I don't know how they translated in English) is the special attack of an ally monster. In short, if the monster in your party gives the final blow, you dramatically increase your chances to obtain the enemy you're figthing (same goes for Omega & Lightning)

@Armand8701 I think you'll find he is in the majority of final fantasy games... so he's actually just an optional boss... just like in every other ff game he's in... most of them

@jasteen800 Amodar is the toughest when Lightning is defeated, so you will have to defeat Amodar first then lightning because she is easier to deal with once Amodar is gone. Try going all out on Amodar first so that he won't be a pain in the ass later.

@JohnnyLeyenda It depends in which country you buy your game. In France, Omega and the costumes had nothing to do with the collector's edition : you had to preorder the game to get a code usable on the PSstore. In Japan, they're regular DLC you have to pay for on the PSstore.

@Ryuz4ki57 Why those two are harder for me is because they can both heal each other since they also use "Paradigms". I defeated Lightning but Amodar keeps buffing up, throwing buff-down grenades, and Mediguard-ing. >:(

@LawsonIntel I downloaded it from the Japanese ¨PSstore. It was 0 yens during 2 weeks. You should get a code to download it for free if you pre-ordered the western version of the game.
