my cydia isn't working now, keep getting the loading data, with a fresh jailbreak. Before when i put it into recovery mode, and did the terminal, everything worked except that i didn't see the booti menu thing.

I just got a new ipod touch 4th gen and this seems like a fun thing to do with my old 1st gen. and within the 3 years I used my jailbroken touch, it crashed maybe 3 times. but I always had it in sleep mode, not turned off so that might have had something to do with it.

@JDmagical I havent spent a lot of time using cygwin... your best bet is to try it... you may need to get different openiboot binaries from the idroid project wiki

and of course backup your ipod first

@J4m3s1nc Now that i think about out, it wont work in the command prompt. You need to either emulate mac os, use cygwin, or some x86 system.

Or best bet if you dont want to deal what that stuff is to go make friends with someone who owns a mac :)
