nobody says it but the influences for me are the likeness to the "ET" movie Wall:e is the robot of "ET"!!! and the et film is in reverse compared to wall e...ET with his group at the beginning and Wall e alone at the beginning...even the plant is in ET...go figure baby...

Good interview. He is right about the importance of the sound design; the noises Wall-e and Eve make, are so wonderful, so abstract yet full of expression, with almost no discernable words - they make up half their characters.

Andrew Stanton deserves an Oscar fot this movie.

Stanton has NOTHING on Brad Bird. He doesn't even know how to write stuff without resorting to extremes so you can feel compassion for the characters.

well it worked, didn't it? go watch some other WALL-E videos and count how many people said stuff like "WALL-E is pixar's best movie", or "WALL-E is the best movie ever", or "i love WALL-E, he's so cute" and stuff like that. maybe you'll get an idea of why he does that.

I certainly plan on seeing Wall-E where I live. Doesn't come out till the 27th in my area. Apparently, it's already premiered in other parts of the world already from what this interview was saying.

Also a science fiction advocate here! Love anything to do with the unknowns, outer space, aliens, the what ifs of our imagination stretched beyond human limitations....I could go on. lolol...

But I'm not! In short, hope Wall-E succeeds.
