2012' Delta blues requires the "Delta Slicer"

  • I'd like to hear some blues covers with this. It would sound awesome. great playing.

  • you are amazing sir. hats off to you

  • really nice :-) which tuning do you use?

  • wow, sounds so acoustic!

  • Fantastic!

  • Simply ... Stellar, man. Blows me away ... Kinda like post-industrial version of the Desert Nomad 's plucked-string-and-gourd, both playin variations on the wicked Long Day blues riff.

I'm gonna find a piece of 2X4 & start whittlin' away, got some stuff layin' aroun' like eye-screws & wood screws, a volume & tone pot, plug-in jack, wire, a single PU, Duct Tape, bolt nut & bridge, then get sum Blues Slide strings at the music store & string it up ...

Be a done-deal right quick. THANKS!!

  • If the world ever went down to hell I wouldnt be suprised finding a person playing that lol like a fallout kind of world

  • yeah ok!! cool!!

  • Cheapest Guitar In The World xD

  • Thanks for the inspiration. I'm going to make one now.

  • @c4r50n1 great, please share the result by posting a video reply!

  • I think this should be the new intro song for True Blood!

I think U should submit it. I think U would be surprised at the outcome!

  • @rachellostinoregon Thank you so much!

  • Dude, that's so grunge. So awesome.

  • i love you, man.

  • Man ive been into blues /rock since i was 12 . and hell im nearly 56 . so led zep. cream. black sabbath. etc ,etc ,etc . robert johnson.. etc. +++++++ u name em .. that was awesome . u deserve a place in history. . what more can i say..??

  • @philjit1 Thanks, but maybe not exaggerate :) I just visited a remote planet in the blues universe that Robert Johnson created.

  • Ehhh..

  • Hey, sounds awesome!!! what tuning is this? String guages?

  • @reactionsb1 I think the lower 4 strings of a 0.010 set (0.42 low e); tuning is open G (DGDG), but obviously tuned down several steps.

  • with a slide it comes across more like 6-string..but it's VERY cool...i recently finished a more conventional electric bass which i'll be showing soon. good job dude!

  • Dude that's amazing, good sound too.

  • ewwwwwie this music is sooooo hippie

  • @ilovemountaindewcows I found it to be groooooovy....

  • @ilovemountaindewcows It's more like blues.

  • This was simply jaw dropping. I definitely would be interested in a vid showing your luthier process!

  • @HasteCakes Haha, not sure if real luthiers would appreciate the downgrading of their status to this.... There's really nothing to it. Just get yourself 4 strings, a couple of screws and some wood. Even without a pickup it's surprising that you can make cool sounds with such a simple device. Forget how you would normally play, just focus on the possibilities of the instrument you just created, and make some music! Cheers, Al.

  • isn't it hard to play?

  • hell, that is some tone , plus some fine playing.. keep it up my friend..

  • Epic!

  • Great video!! Thanks for sharing:)

    Grandma Mary

  • that thing sounds AMAZING!!!!!!

  • that has a really warm and nice tone !!

    it sounds like something exspensive.

  • the best thing is that youre playing great music at the same time and you're probably just improvising. please upload more!

"this sound cannot be imitated with a six string guitar because of the different harmonics"

    could you explain that please?

  • Dude what is your tuning?

  • @SyntheseHeizer as he stated befor , he thinks it was something like E-B-E-B, or equivalent

  • As nice as it is now, it needs some more twang

  • Amazing!

  • amazing song

  • You are my doppelganger sir. Nice to know.

  • I am your fan...

  • Excellent!

  • mate, you have cracked it.. take it to the world , they will take you in ..

  • Fender plank o caster

  • how did you connect it to the amp

  • i woulda called it the stick

  • Play NOOKIE

  • and then prehistoric blues was born lol

  • Sick man.... Cool build and smooth blues.

  • Hey, very very nice, could you explain to me the pick up set up you have going on here please? I'm curious and can't quite make sense out of what is going on.

  • @lavishmcronald Thanks for the kind words; I don't know if something special is going on; I just had a spare single coil pickup, a cheap one too, and I set it up at approximately "neck position". I think I played through a Fender Super Champ XD, using the line out and set to "Black Face", with some reverb. Thanks!

  • I like it.

    Fretless four string log guitar!!!

  • heres a good question... what are the strings tuned as?

  • @delta9LouDog Hi, I think it was something like E-B-E-B, or equivalent.

  • @bluesXL This is a Tenor Guitar???

  • @buddyeagle Sounds good to me!

  • nice playin two. u sure got your mojo workin..

  • well amazin . what a great sound from .a simple . build ..

  • It's sounds like this is going to explode :D

  • awesome, im getting on in years , but that sound gives me years , thank you .

  • ok....hearing this i wonder if we really need 6 strings? i mean yeah we need it in a few things but this sounds beautiful :) i want to make one :)

  • @deathslice60 Thanks, it's really simple; I'll probably make a vid someday to show you how to do it!

  • @bluesXL Please do :) Really interested in this.

  • GOODDDD BEAUTIFUL BASS- GUITAR!!!!!

  • You can make some good blues songs with that. Excellent.

  • @TheBeatles297 It's a Sliderite brass slide

  • can I make it six string

  • @TheBeatles297 Thanks!

  • Fret buzz? Never again! :D

  • DAMN those slides are heavenly. Good job!

  • Thats pretty sweet

  • hey when u get thru playing it can i have it .it sounds cool

  • @ramirezdaniel1000 Hi, thanks; just make one yourself, it is fun and easy!

  • i want do it too, but i think without frets it is difficult to play :D

  • dude you are bang into this, your jiving away, were oyu listening to something we cant hear and playing along? looks like your enjoying yourself anyways, good work!

  • @MrPapaStone Thanks, "jiving away", I like that! Not playing along with something by the way.

  • What pickup is that? About how much it cost's? That is most amazing sound I ever heard, i have to make one...

  • @nickfailure it's just a ceramic strat pickup I got with a DIY kit; as I upgraded the pickups on the DIY project strat, this pickup was spare; the sound is dependend on the fact that this guitar has only 4 strings, and I guess I the amp settings were ok.

  • @bluesXL WTF! it's a Tele neck pickup!!! Also from a DIY kit... Can't believe I said strat....

  • that makes a nice sound

  • lol thts excellent :P

  • @naattori2000 just regular electric guitar strings (E,A,D,G) e.g. Fender super 250's or GHS Boomers

  • @1lu2ma3ca no, just getting old, that's all

  • cool!

  • fucking great!

    and well played aswell

  • THAT IS JUST FUCKING AWSOME,WOW!

  • very creative, and cool, u should try and carve a body for it 2, it would look cooler

  • fan fxckin tastic!!!!!

come on man tell us more about the construction!!!! are those EYE SCREWS for tuners???? how did you attach the steel strings to them??? and how well do they hold a tune??

sounds great man! keep up the work! show us more!!!

  • Thanks unstrung13! I just posted a vid where this guitar has evolved to a card board box guitar. Yes it were eye screws, only thing I had lying around. Now I have real tuners instead (relief...).

  • Very nice!! Good job!!!

  • Thanks Lenny! Next one will be as beautiful as your CBG's
