I like how the TARDIS materializes and protects Lee. It's like it/she knows that he will have to be kept alive for the future (of course theTARDIS knows that, it sees the whole of time and space).
@DJGOODLOOKING Yeah, but if Eccleston had hair, he'd just look very, very weird. Someone drew Nine, Ten, and Eleven all wearing Eleven's outfit, and Nine was the only one who looked ridiculous.
Excuse me, the Master was put on TRIAL on the planet SKARO? You mean the planet entirely populated by Daleks? The Daleks, who have no problem with killing every living thing in the universe, have a legal system that tries Time Lords for "evil crimes"? ... >.>
@enginesummer99 Now, I'm not saying this isn't flawed, but it was before the time war and we don't actually know much about the Daleks in terms of Skaro. There COULD be other species populating Skaro just like time lords aren't the only beings on Gallifrey. I don't know though, just putting it out there xD
@Fellowshipofthening Except we heard voices saying "Exterminate! Exterminate!" So that could only imply that the Daleks were trying the Master and not anyone else.
@Draconicqueen He didn't get a new cycle, River used all of hers up to bring him back to life. I assume it takes more than one to regenerate and revive a dead body. And energy may have been lost during the transfer which is why she had to use so many up.
@theDoctorsWarrior It was a rule of the timelords. A timelord has 13 lives before they die completely. Buyt now The Doctor doesn't have 13 lives because he is the only timelord to live and the rules don't exist now
@LiamCatterson It wasn't a rule; it's a characteristic. Just like the Doctor still has two hearts despite the Time Lords are gone, the Doctor still has 13 lives. I'm not saying there is absolutely no way he can get more lives; I'm just saying that the Time Lords being gone has no effect on a biological aspect of their race.
As a fan, I'm a little disappointed about the film, but as some one who likes to see things in another way, I quite like how they tried to bring the legendary show back as a t.v film, so, either way, it's ok =D
@LegoDaleks It's not a law of their physiology; it's more of a self-imposed rule for their species. Like the Doctor said, rules never meant much to the Master.
@Daniel012345678912 No, there is a limit, that's why the Master was so desperate when he was on his last body, because it actually was his last body, not just some rule.
@TheEdward4ever It's proven you can live longer. Like during the time travelers wife when the TARDIS told the doctor he's changed the desktop over 30 times ;o
But for its merit the film does have some good points, Paul McGann was superb as The Doctor, it really is a shame that we don't get to see more of the eighth doctor, I loved the gothic Tardis a kind of prelude to the RTD and ST's Tardis interiors, if this had not been american produced and had better actors than this might have been more enjoyable
@PaperRayman Oh no not Tom Hanks (shudders) he's ok as Woody but as anything else no, Jim Carrey would strike me as an over the top Master perhaps but never The Doctor, maybe some kind of future incarnation that he meets thats gone wrong and totally insane and Harrison Ford I just can't see it
@JamUpYurLife well start saying your goodbye's cause it might just happen, and I think it would make sense, I mean if every regeneration has a different voice and personality and every single one having a Brittish accent? I don't think so.
Why did they keep shooting, that was just retarded, one of many retarded thngs in this story the crap acting by some actors, the Dalek smurf voices at the beginning, the 7th Doctor's death scene i know he's not my favourite Doctor probably my least but he still didn't deserve that and possibly the worst thing of all Eric Roberts (shudder) as the Master he was just god awful as he is in every film he's in
Fun Fact: sometime after this, the Doctor ALSO apparently decided to throw some rules out the window. According to the 11th Doctor, he now has over 500 available regenerations. That should pretty much take care of any possible contingencies. :)
@TheZacula That line was a JOKE according to Russell T. Davies (who wrote that line). You can't just change established continuity with a throwaway line.
i think i know what hapend to 8th doctor.since he was half human on he's mothers side he must have just aged to death

AtarahDerek 1 month ago
@AtarahDerek Gallifreyans just die the once, whereas timelords can die 12 times before they are completely dead, so they aren't immortal innit.
Anyway as I said the fact that they actually mention in this movie that the Master used up all his bodies is good continuity, unlike in Nu-hu.
LegoDaleks 1 month ago
@LegoDaleks I think that timelords dont have a limit i think that the 12 reganerations were just a somewhat law, that the gallifeyans have to follow.

For a doctor that is.
