I've never read a worse book in my entire life! There was not a single interesting thing in the book and I don't think that it could have possibly been any more boring. If you are thinking about reading this book DON'T!!
I started this book and loved it, but due to work and school, then other books, then more school, haven't had a chance for it again. As soon as I'm finished with my current book though, I'm picking this one up.
I loved her Poisonwood Bible, I recommend her to all. :)
I wanted to like this book (I was hoping for a book along the lines of the 'Geek Farm Life' podcast), but, unfortunately - I found her way too preachy throughout the book.
After reading this book I changed how I shop and eat, not out of guilt but because I love the Earth and my own health and want to act wisely toward both.
Hey! everyone- let me know what you think about you tube. for instance- what role does it play and why does it exist in our culture? why is i needed, necessary, or useful perhaps? why do you use it- etc>>>> things like that- it is for a paper to turn into a writing class- All help and thoughts wanted-
i would love to know what ppl think youtube's role is-
beautiful beautiful beautiful. all should/ scrach that MUSt read her work- thank you for writing mrs. kingsolver! let us take her example and plant something- and let us share this with our neighbors, friends, teachers, and families! along with all of her art!
I picked up this book after seeing it listed on the summer reads on the site JuliB. Glad I did, I would highly recommend. I also went back and read her 'The Poisonwood Bible.' also fantastic.
So many great books, so little time. Barbara Kingsolver is brilliant and true to herself and her stories. One of my favorite writers. Thank you Barbara.
This woman is wonderful, and everyone should read her last book (Animal, Vegetable, Miracle). It's nice seeing her in person, on this video. Thanks for posting it.

I couldn't stand The Poisonwood Bible, but this sounds like it will be good. I'm going to get it ASAP.
