I personally believe abortion is murder. And is only acceptable if the mother was raped or if the baby is in a condition where it won't survive outside of the womb. There is one other option and that's adoption, there's tons of couples out there who cant have babies! And why should a baby suffer from the moms mistakes? Actions have Consequences and you should have to deal with it by giving birth and giving the baby up for adoption.

It's unfair to force a woman to spend 9 months of her life dealing with doctors appointments, weight gain, inability to drink alcohol, or smoke (if they were actually respectful to the well-being of the baby, that is) if she so chooses, and even morning sickness and stress caused from a pregnancy. All for a baby she was forced to conceive and does not want. Especially on her own, with no husband/boyfriend to help her.
I still think it's wrong. Even if it isn't a fully developed human being, it still is a human being. If the woman is rape at a young age, she will mostly carry a miscarriage, where the baby/fetus dies in the woman. But if the woman is able to carry a successful pregnancy, but doesn't have enough money nor a husband/boyfriend to support her, she should put the kid up for adoption or at least find a relative who will raise the kid instead of murdering it

@lilipusion at a young age doesn't mean they need to pay for their parents mistakes. Just like what @Mswellper said, there is such thing as adoption. And besides killing a baby, abortions can cause stress, hurt and regret to the parents which leads to depression, anxiety etc. Adoption will hurt some parents, but at least they have it in their mind that the baby can grow up with a safe, and wealthy enough family. Abortion is not worth it.

To those of you who are pro-life, I think at times, you guys are oversimplifying the problem. Sure there are people who aren't careful with protective measures BUT there are also people who were forcibly impregnated. At the end of the day, it's what the person feels is best for the 'baby' based on their current situation that should matter. While I do believe the a person becomes a person the instant that sperm meets egg, a woman has every right to decide if she is truly ready for a child even if she is pregnant.

It's unfair to force a woman to spend 9 months of her life dealing with doctors appointments, weight gain, inability to drink alcohol, or smoke (if they were actually respectful to the well-being of the baby, that is) if she so chooses, and even morning sickness and stress caused from a pregnancy. All for a baby she was forced to conceive and does not want. Especially on her own, with no husband/boyfriend to help her.

@lilipusion at a young age doesn't mean they need to pay for their parents mistakes. Just like what @Mswellper said, there is such thing as adoption. And besides killing a baby, abortions can cause stress, hurt and regret to the parents which leads to depression, anxiety etc. Adoption will hurt some parents, but at least they have it in their mind that the baby can grow up with a safe, and wealthy enough family. Abortion is not worth it.

The doctors refuse to do a D&C, because I didn't have any insurance. The abortion would have been free. Now I might not be able to have a baby.

Abortion isn't wrong in ALL cases. If you had sex and you were stupid enough to do it without protection then you should have to go through with having a baby. If you were raped and got pregnant then having an abortion is the right thing to do if it wasn't your fault. Other than that situation I totally agree that abortion is wrong.

@dancer8164 This is the end all argument for the pro life movement, but its honestly like telling someone if you don't want to die in a car wreck don't drive, or if you don't want to get food poisoning don't eat out and prepare your own food carefully, life is risk, any life worth living however is enjoyable,

@dancer8164 I want to know if they ban abortion, and actually stop abortion (which I highly doubt it will, given the results of every other country including our own), who in the hell is going to raise all the unwanted children? Where is the money going to come from, we have kids in foster care awaiting adoption already, and given that 1 in 3 woman in the US alone have an abortion that puts a LOAD more in the system

@vampyres32 Yep! They like to throw huge numbers around describing the amount of "babies killed every year because of abortion." Sooo... if abortion was illegal like they wanted, there would be that many more unwanted children in the world. They could face starvation, abuse, and medical complications. How is that "pro-life" ??!
