Green hair, strange alien hairstyle (ironically she is kind of one) plus her rough, unpolished singing that comes across as more pure and more every-girl-esque. She's the easy to cheer for underdog, while Sheryl is the pro.

I honestly prefer Ranka to be with Alto, its something about the two of them thats irresistable. Plus, Ranka did actually confess to Alto before Sheryl. If Ranka never left to take Ai home I think she and Alto would have bonded even more and we would all know for certian whom he would end up with. I am sad for Sheryl however, truth is, I disliked her in the beginning, I still kinda do, she only changed though because she was going to die, if she never was, she might have taken awhile to mature.

In all fairness Ranka was never in alto's interest, he always had his eye on Sheryl in that sense, Ranka was more like a precious friend which he felt he needed to protect, so she never stole him from ranka....... And they're g=both great characters in their own ways so stop bitching and just listen to the awesome music.

This song (or rather remix of several songs:) is very awesome:) Macross Frontier probably has one of the best soundtrack's I've ever heard in an anime. Out of what I've seen (and I've seen a lot of animes) Beck is really the only one that comes close to this series in terms of consistantly great music throughout the show:)

Macross Frontier is a great anime, but it's very similar to Gundam Seed Destiny. I mean come on, singing and mecha is just like GSD with Lacus Clyne. I love MF's music btw but they creator should've developed Alto more and I think the whole story was kinda rushed.
