There is no way in hell anyone can say that Bruce sings this song better. I'm a Bruce Dickinson fan through and through, but Blaze sings this song WAY better. He's really powerful in this song. Steve Harris bass REALLY compliments his voice.

Blaze is good, but Bruce is a phenomenon. Bruce actually makes this song better. Just by listening it is very difficult not to believe it is one of Bruces songs. It is like Steve Harris actually wrote it for Bruce to sing. Started writing before Bruce left in 1994. Finally Steve got inspired by Braveheart which was released 1995, got the text right, and the same year the album was released. Still think most of the song was written at the same time as Bruce was still in the band. Makes sense.

i could think of many singers that they could have gotten to replace Bruce. they are Iron Maiden, one of the top 10 biggest bands of all time, they could have gotten anyone! but instead they got this guy, who aint bad, but he sure as hell aint one of the best! Geoff Tate, Timo Kotipelto, Jorn Lande, Eric Adams are some singers that they could have gotten who have unbleivable voices and ranges. much better then this guy

@cerberuuss He had left the band in the beginning of the 90s because of some issues between him and Steve, (not sure about this) in the early of middle of the year 1994 they took in blaze bayley

@cerberuuss Bruce Dickinson left the band at that time(Early 90's) to follow personal things, also because he had several clashes with Steve, in order words, the ideas weren't the same ones... Blaze replaced him, made 2 albums, but Bruce always was identified with The Irons and that was why Blaze he failed in The Irons... Then, he came back in 99 in the Ed Hunter Tour Along with Adrian Smith who had left the band in 89, and that's the current band 'till now

Blaze is a great singer, however he doesn't have the stage presence that Bruce has. He's great, Steve wouldn't have got him if he didn't think he would fit with Iron Maiden. As a side note the reason Steve didn't get a so called "Good AMERICAN singer" is because he hates american music, all american music is fads.

in bruce years the were metal,but look in 1995.x-factor came up,which is one of the best albums of maiden and its dark(moreover,in this album nicko learns some normal rythms at last,in all other albums he just cant shut the fuck up)
