@muubileinsson there was an update where valve changed the ending to where a robot dragged you back into aperature laboratories. this way, they could make portal 2, where you awake in aperature laboratories.
@muubileinsson It has been changed. In the new edition, Chell is being dragged away by a robot (the "party associate") that says "Thank you for assuming the party escort submission position." Try loading your last savegame and complete it again.. :D
See with this ending I'd had assumed that she had escaped for good and was going to explore the world with her portal gun (maybe crossover with characters/storyline in half life). But the new ending just killed that dream for me. ;_;
It would've been so interesting how that crossover would turn out...

It's cool how Aperture and Black Mesa relate. They seem like completely different worlds, but they're the same. In my opinion aperture is better. Portal gun is fucking badass

@KirranaFey It is a puzzle game where problems must be solved using the portal gun. The game starts out with you waking up in a cell and then things just get stranger and stranger as the game progresses.
Someone could probably explain better... But you should try it out, it's really fun :)

*Spoiler.... kinda* They say the cake was a lie because your character never saw it. The thing with the cake was just part of the ending sequence, like the song. However in the new ending, you get dragged back in... so the cake is NOT a lie. In the new ending its the same but before it fades into the whole going though that maze to the room with the cake is goes "Thank you for assuming the party goers submission position" and you get dragged back in by a robot.
BTW, the reason for this is that its preparing for Portal 2 which will be coming out soon. Instead of ending the game with you being free.... you are recaptured.

*Spoiler.... kinda* They say the cake was a lie because your character never saw it. The thing with the cake was just part of the ending sequence, like the song. However in the new ending, you get dragged back in... so the cake is NOT a lie. In the new ending its the same but before it fades into the whole going though that maze to the room with the cake is goes "Thank you for assuming the party goers submission position" and you get dragged back in by a robot.

BTW, the reason for this is that its preparing for Portal 2 which will be coming out soon. Instead of ending the game with you being free.... you are recaptured.

@andregerbaulet in the new one u are dragged away by some kind of a robot, they patched the ending in order to continue the story in portal 2.

the only reason the game was short becuz the people down at valve said they wanted to make a trial to test there fans. and it worked thats wow for portal 2 its return of glados and the return of Chell (the player) and its going to be a real length video game
