@LukeRech Yeah he's good in the pocket as long as it holds up, it's nothing that can't be fixed or improved, it just seemed when he was pressured or things didn't develop like they were supposed to his decision making goes to shit. QB's like V. Young, Brad Smith, Troy Smith etc were actually very good at getting out of broken plays. I think he'll learn to either escape sooner or take a sack as opposed to just chucking the ball up and he'll be another great NU qb. Bad ankle affected him too.

@LukeRech I think Martinez is very talented. He folds under pressure tho and it's hard to tell if it's because he's young or if it's just his nature. He needs to work on playing smarter in the pocket when things break down instead of breaking down with the play and making things worse. If it's just a matter of getting used to the college game he'll be fine, if it's uncontrollable nerves in bad situations then idk, harder to fix.

@ He can play in the pocket, I think he just gets over excited and his adrenaline fucks him up. Plus he did injure his ankle and lost the ability to pivot on that ankle, which then affected his throwing accuracy.

Which are probably the same ones that are quick to say they love Auburn or some other team next year. He's got the fire to win, I like it but sometimes its over the top. In this games case, I think it was worthy of the tantrum. 16-2 penalty margin, same crew all season with a horrible margin against Nebraska. Other crews we had, pretty even calling.
