OK...I'm a guitar teacher from Ohio....ummm...let's see if I can say anything negative about this performance.....Ummmm....Nope..I really liked the tone you chose for this piece...sweet,.. man...I've never tried to play this song as an instrumental, but, you've given me a map to , at least go by......I'll try it but I doubt if I can top what you've done with this tune...Nice Job man ! Post more stuff !!
I have enormous respect for those who can play the full intro without another guitarist. I have played guitar for 13 years now and I still can't do it all on my own.
I have only seen (or met) a few people who were able to do it. Rock on. Also, I love the tone he's using.
Joe Walsh tells the story of first meeting George Harrison and telling him how he spent hours figuring out that tune using double picking and George said "I just overdubbed my tracks". Which lead to a four letter word fro Joe....lol
Almost true :) They actually used two guitars simultaneously, although no one can seem to remember if it was John or Paul who played the second "lead guitar".
the song written by lennon, was in reference to MICK JAGGER.AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING'was sang because jagger was seeing singer MARIANNE FAITHFUL at the time...it's all clear to us now,god bless JOHN LENNON.GREAT TUNE FROM A GREAT ALBUM.
John Lennon said off the cuff in an interview (read it online) that AYBCS was something he "tossed off" and said no more about it. But his motto was 100 hours practice for an hour onstage, so maybe it cost him a huge amount of work! Yeah, we all try to play both harmonies at once---THANKS again Beatles
I found this video by mistake. What a pleasant surprise to see my childhood friend playing a beatles song. Let me tell you, I am a rock n roller, and this guy blows the shit out of what we play on guitar. I have seen this guy in local clubs in Massachusetts, and he plays with rockers, and when he does, he does all the classic riffs. He is not just jazz oriented. He's a local legend in my neck o the woods. regard, Billy Downey
Wonderful effort. This is a song I play on guitar, but my effort is not even in the same league compared to your interpretation of this excellent Beatles song.

Why do jazz guitarists love that shitty sound and play gay looking guitars? Add some treble and some mids. The sound just sounds muddy. The playing is great though.
you idiot liosto..they play with that "tone" cuz it kicks and sounds sweet. if had a brain and could think beyond a caveman rock guitar you might understand..and you WISH you could play that smooth...
Fuck you estinkfinger. If you had a brain you would realise that caveman rock is wahat moves and appeals to many people you goatee wearing 40 year old virgin. Most jazz guitarist bore the shit out of me because they indulge in boring fret wanks on gay looking guitars with a crappy muddy sound. The omly reason I like this bloke is because The Beatles knew how to write a great tune, not bore us with their Mixolydian explorations over a Flatted Fifth/Augmented 13th G chord.

I heard about a guy who spent a long time learning the guitar part and then later found out that it was done with multiple tracks.

The funny thing is, the beatles used two guitars to record the solo, but players kill themselves trying to play it with one.

You know...this really is a forgotten song by The Beatles. But, What a great guitar riff. The real question is: Which Beatle came up with it?
imeminebeatles 4 years ago
John wrote the song so i suppose he wrote the riff.
