  • massage is healthy, but most of the Chinese massage places in London employ unprofessional, uneducated girls with no knowledge of spoken English. I have had a bad, really bad experience many times, and I could not get my money back. I do not mind the money, but the girls have treated me so badly. One had the longest nails I had ever seen, and they refused to change her.. I withrew within 5 minutes. Another case, the girl hurt my injured back so badly just because she did not understand English

  • Dear Borris,

I was wondering if this was the same massage client as in your TMJ massage demonstrations? If so how did he get so lucky to be your client?

    Best Wishes.

    Tom

  • Hi Tom. in this case model is my student as well best personal friend. I was lucky that my friend did agree hrs.to lay on table.it is very difficult job because lights creating high temperature, and many times I repeated the same techniques etc. the bottom line I was lucky to have great friends who helped.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • looks like what was done in the newer karate kid movie.

  • PLOPPLOPPLOP! :D

  • The principle at work here is that hot air contracts when it returns to room temperature, sucking the skin into the jar. The flame is only applied to the jar very briefly, and since the air in the jar cools so quickly, it's extremely unlikely it could reach the temperature necessary to burn hair.

  • so just wondering...ive seen this a few time & for some reason this time this question ran through my mind but what if a male client has back hair, wouldnt it burn? just curious.

  • @nibargerswife51482 I don't know much about this technique in practice, but from a physics standpoint I wouldn't think the hair would burn. The point of the flame is eat all the air inside the jar causing a pressure difference and the observed "suction". I don't think the flame would stay lit long enough to ignite hair.

  • How long until marks go away? Good video

  • Could cupping be used to get rid of blackheads?

  • Can you tell me after how much time do the marks are gone?

  • This was an excellent demonstration! Thank You XOXO

  • love the noise of the cups.....sounds like a wobbleboard......"can u tell what it is yet?"

  • yeah, im totaly gonna pull this on my girlfriend

  • @mgaft1 i like your answer. thumbs up^^ Im in a positiv mood right now cause i got a massage from a cute girl yesterday!! keep up doing videos, in a special way they are also relaxing

  • I agree with Mihai who posted further down. The term "artist" does apply here. Keep up the great work, Boris.

  • i have had this done twice for back pain, its extremely relieving and feels great after its been done.

    ThanksBoris

  • U have helped me alot. Thank u very much Boris for theese great videos of yours.

  • his knowledge of anatomy and physiology is superb

  • I have seen the same room in a porno!!

  • @Hautamekki

Good imagination usually viewed as merit. Actually, it's specificity of your perception. To be effective imagination has come in tandem with mind that controls and directs it. In your case, your imagination played a trick on you because the second component of this pair is poorly developed.

    Respectfully,

    MG

  • woah wtf :O that's freakin cool

  • cupping is a great thing to do,,

I have do for yrs, testet out on my self, alot and hard, it really work..

Ofcourse 5 000 yrs Chinese Wisesom.

  • what do you get people to do a massage on for film exactly?

  • where exactly would get these people to do the massage on do u like say free massage?

  • Ouchy! xD

I'd try it though >.> lmao

  • we do this in Somalia and its called Kubeyn you can use regular short glasses as well, very effective and this Kubeyn is popular in many part of the world..........nice video btw its one of the traditional healing methods in Somalia. cheers

  • I know for a fact that the cupping massage really works because this was pretty much the main method my parents were using when i was sick(about 20+ years ago).We were not such big pills fans and 'til this day I don't take any.I don't use this method because I don't need it and I hope I will not for a long time.

  • What type of oil do you use on the skin before begining the cupping?

  • Dear radiorox0112

I have used simple baby oil. My hope it was helpful.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • I can't exactly get a clear opinion on this. I have heard both sides, and truthfully I would rather have a normal massage, but this is interesting. People have it done for a reason, so it has to be relaxing somehow. It's just that, looking, and not having that chance to experience it, doesn't teach like experience does.

  • Dear TheCrazyOgre,

From therapeutic/medical points of view for some particular cases and for better results it is important to have both massage and cupping.

The cupping provides multiple capabilities to stimulate healing process.

In most cases, this is not painful procedure but quite the opposite.

    Best wishes,

    Boris

  • Dear Boris, I did like your video. You explain things well

  • Dear wellersong7.

I'm glad that you like my clips. It is kind of you to let me know about it. Thank you.

    Best wishes.

    Boris.

  • xrated. you are so unkind

  • omg e_e it's not like im the only one who doesnt think this. its just my opinion. i'm not unkind, it's how i feel about it. sorry that it wasnt kind but i felt it sounded like he had trouble speaking.

  • ok, sorry if i offended you but i feel that if one is doing something of benefit to others then at least comment on the positive aspects to balance out the criticism. Your point about not liking the persons accent or voice or being unable to understand it is not important. You may have offended the practitioner and that is what i felt was unjust and hence my response. But again, forgive me if I offended you, it's just how i 'felt' also. You may be kind but here you was not.

  • i didnt realize you had written a book. forgive my ignorance i have been watching and loving all of your clips - where could i get one of these books. thanks

  • Dear Quasarfi .

Thank you for watching my clips and I'm very happy to learn that you like my work. on the bottom of the screen you will find website address. Please visit it. all information about book,DVDs as well my articles could be found there. thanks again. Best wishes.

  • only 84 ratings with 127,308 views is sad...lets show boris our support for this great vid by not forgeting to rate it.

  • @jedirifleman thank you so much for comment as well for appreciating my work.

It is pleasant and important for me to hear from people what they think on my work as well to see the ratings. Honestly I cannot complain. People treating me very well. Using the opportunity I would like to thank each of you for viewing my video clips.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • Dear Borris,

I have watched a dozen or so of your videos, and they are all amazing. I heard once that a man can be an artist with any medium, and yours is obviously massage. You have a grace and confidence that make the difficult task of massaging effectively look easy. Your techniques are amazing to watch and in my limited attempts to recreate them, I always get positive results. Thank you for your dedication to your art, and to sharing it with others.

    Best Wishes,

    Doug

  • Dear Doug.

Thank you for many kind words. I do love my occupation. this healing art in many cases is a blessing for receivers as well for providers.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • @Mihai127 thank you very much for so wonderful comment. It's so encouraging to upload more and more of my work.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • i agree, no physics discussion needed here...this is a great relaxation and massage vid...lets just enjoy this great vid.

  • Minor correction: The point of the fire is not to burn the oxygen, but to heat the air in the cup.

Heating the air in the cup causes some of the air to rush out (higher temperature means higher pressure). Then the air in the cup cools. Normally this would cause air to rush back in. However, if you put the cup on the skin immediately, no air can rush in and there is now a vacuum in the cup. This makes the cup stick to and pull upward on the skin in the cup.

  • Dear d00df00d,

Should your description be right, than if you would raise the air temperature inside of the cup by heating it from outside, it still would work. However, it is not so. The sucking action is generated because of vacuum that is generated as a result of fire burning air/oxygen inside the cup. But like you said, this is a minor issue.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • What do you mean by heating it from the outside? Do you mean while it is on the skin? If so, you would have positive pressure in the cup unless you release it to let some of the hot air out.

  • Dear d00df00d. I would propose to put physics aside. I move fire fast into and out of cup. and reason for it is to burn oxygen inside and not to over heat the glass. in this case physics is a minor issue. the question is do you like the clip or not? I want you to know that I do appreciate discussion with you as well culture of it. thanks. Best wishes.

    Boris

PS. let me know if you would like to receive a gift my book. I am a bit discussing their physics and metaphysics.

  • i have compiled a list of vids like this one that seem to relax you...it is called "relaxing array" and i have chosen the vids from over 1,000,000 vids watched....hope you enjoy them.

  • very interesting playlist thanks ;D

  • Interesting! 5* Post

  • Dear mgaft1,

How can I practice lit fire over the body. Lit the fire and DIY myself hehee. I just afraid I will burn client body. For placing cup can place whole body or follow the meridien?

  • Hey boris, does it hurt at all?

  • Dear mileyfan8787.

In general it doesn't hurt but in case of placing cups on the trigger point it does increase pain sensation for approximately 35- 50 seconds.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • looks painful :/

  • Yeah, but it isn't. I haven't had it done on myself yet, but I have a friend that had it today and although the marks are very large & thick (omg!) he said it didn't hurt and would go away soon.

  • nah

  • I didn't see a question or answer addressing this, but I was wondering, can you use the cups for other areas of the body other than the back. An instructor that I had gave us a demo, and she said they can be used all over the body. Just wondering what your opinion is.

  • Dear tsfitzpa,

You can indeed apply cups on different parts of the body. The only area where I wouldn't recommend applying them would be the neck.

    Best Wishes,

    Boris

  • hes not bad, first thing you learn when you do this is not to have a lit fire over the body!

  • Info for moynul123, this is called blood letting or Hijjamah, after this treatment you will feel lighter, and its a cure for many diseases.

  • i know in some parts of the world they actually let the blood that builds up int eh part where the cup sucks the skin out, so they basically make a small cut to releaese the blood, could you please tell me if this is good or bad is their any benefits?

  • Dear moynul123 .

Sometimes stosis of venous blood can contribute to the pain sensation and supposedly this kind of techniques reducing it. in my opinion from therapeutic point of view this kind if" bleeding" techniques have little value because with hand we can successful accelerate drainage of venous blood. however I believe that "bleeding" techniques playing significant placebo effect.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • That's the medieval style... how they made cuts to bleed out the 'toxins'. It's not done today because it doesn't work, and as boris said is more of a placebo.

  • interesting

  • Caro Boris, seu trabalho é excelente, PARABÉNS !!!

  • Is this any good for ME/CFS? Also, does it hurt?

  • Dear mrskaykins,

I'm assuming your question is about chronic fatigue syndrome. To the best of my knowledge for some reason CFS "mixed and connected" with fibromyalgia. If youre suffering from fibromyalgia - pain all over the body, cupping would be a bad idea. In cases of fibromyalgia, pain threshold is very low and cupping can shock significantly. Please visit my website and read my article on fibromyalgia. It can help to understand more on this condition.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • Thanks for your reply. No fibromyalgia is a completely different condition to ME/CFS. I don't suffer pain - chronic fatigue and poor concentration.

  • Dear mrskaykins.

CFS is a idiopathic conditions, which means no 1 knows what causing fatigue and if this symptoms is a result of the same source. some of us accumulating more metabolic toxins than others. this fact can cause fatigue , poor concentration and symptoms like clinical depression. Please view my clip" lymph drainage for detoxification" as well read my article on subject.many who suffered symptoms of CFS improved their condition after series of treatments.

    Best wishes.

  • I'm a massage therapist, and had a treatment Saturday for the first time, but the therapist used rubber cups, and called it slipstream therapy. Today is Tuesday, and I still feel great! I've already ordered my own rubber cups to begin using them on clients!

  • I Had acupuncture yesterday with cupping on my shoulders for neck pain and shoulder tension and though I was sceptical to how affective it would be I was amazed at how well it worked.

  • GRAston technique

  • Sha is a condition in which the waste products of cellular metabolism (the burning of glucose in the cells for energy) become trapped in the muscle fibers, often as the result of major trauma such as whiplash but sometimes from accumulated smaller traumas from daily wear and tear and exercise. The Chinese medical diagnosis is 'stagnation of blood and chi in the meridians,' meaning that there is obstruction of the energy and fluids in the affected area.

  • Your description is the best I've seen. I could not undertand exactly how it worked. But it works. I had it done with my acupuncture treatment the other day. They only used 2 cups on my lower back (where I have an injury), and I felt so loose and flexible. I was no longer stiff and much of the pain was gone immediately.

  • I've had this done and it's really relaxing.

  • Wow that is very unique, I've never seen or heard of this technique.

  • Dearnibargerswife51482.

as you can see youtube give to many of us opportunity to share knowledge, and experiences, as well to learn. I appreciate very much this privileged opportunity to help you to discover these therapeutic tool.Best wishes.Boris

  • Dear mgaft1, what does hypertonuse mean. And do you think that its (bells palsy) still curable after so many years. Please give me honest answer. thankyou for replying to my questions i really appresiate it.

  • Dear nmuflahi.

Please view my youtube clip" sports injuries Part 4" with help of pictures I explain muscular conditions. even if your neurologist will tell that this is not curable there's many cases when people improved after more than 15 years.God will you will get better. In your 1st comment you stated that you see improvement. this means it possible.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • Hello there.Ive had bells palsy for 15yrs.Its a bit better but still alot noticable. Was wondering can cupping be done on the face to cure it, and if so what are the pressure points. Thanks

  • Dear nmuflahi.

Very sorry to hear about your 15 years of suffering. I don't think that cupping of facial musculature is a good idea. do to long duration of palsy probably your facial muscles developed hypertonuse. massage include vibration techniques and post isometric relaxation possibly can help. Best wishes.

    Boris

  • YOU CAN BUY GLASS CUPPING CUPS ON EBAY "glass cupping cups" for those who are asking where to get.

  • Absolutely fascinating, I need to take this class.

  • what is cupping massage for ? when do u need cupping massage?

  • I myself had some treatments for "locked" shoulder and back muscles. My physiotherapist had problems getting them loose with just massaging alone, so she asked me if I wanted another kind of massage. So i got 5 or 6 cupping treatments. Worked perfectly.

  • The way I understand it is, when you get a regular massage, the therapist can only push *down* or squeeze your muscles into the bone. But with the cupping, it not only draws blood to the area (the same thing happens when you get a hickey, hence the red marks), but it also pulls your muscle *up* away from the bone. I've heard it works wonders.

  • Dear spookygirl240. I will not argue with you on your general superficial description of techniques. In the same time I would like to assure you that massage is more than just" to push down" or "squeeze muscles" Please visit my website and read content of Part 1 of my new book" Simple approach to massage therapy". if you are not a practitioner you'll be able to learn a lot about massage and even how to perform stress management procedure and more. Best wishes

    Boris

  • I find holding a cup over a lit candle or using a piece of tissue paper inside the cup itself to be good methods for people without rubbing alcohol to hand.

Just be careful, as these methods carry a greater risk of burning.

  • how long do those marks last?!

  • Depends on how long they had the cup on you, where they do it, how tense you are,...

Lasts about 3-4 days till 1 week.

  • does it hurt when they do it with the flame like that? i mean ive had stuff stuck to me like that like before, not in a massage or anything, but it doesnt hurt, but i mean with that flame like that i was wondering.. lol nice vid though!

  • no- the principal of fire relies on three things: heat/energy, fuel, and oxygen. since the fuel (alcohol) is really limited in amount, it burn up limited oxygen fast. some acupuncturist use piece of paper instead of alcohol

  • it does a bit but only when left on. the burning bit doesn't you feel the heat briefly but that's all

  • Very interesting - where can one buy these cups?

  • Dear amymint5.

You can buy this cups in any oriental medicine supply store. I'm positive that you will find them on line as well. Best regards. Boris

  • Isn't there techniques using cupping like this but you leave them on for a longer period of time and the suck out the toxins through the skins? I remember its supposed to get rid of back pains etc. Its sickening to watch though because the toxins removed are black in color. But its also intriguing to see something like it because you never thought it possible.

  • i was wondering....is cupping more for treating something (sore muscles, back problems etc...) or can it also be used as a relaxation technique? It looks interesting, but i don't really have any sort of back problems or sore muscles that really calls for it. Nice videos too!

  • Dear CrJediKnight

Cupping is causing muscular relaxation, which in tern will promote general relaxation, thus boosting immune system and accelerating detoxification. I believe that occasional cupping should be used as a preventive effort.

    Best regards

    Boris

  • Sorry you might've said it earlier, but what is the point of speedily cupping his back in the beginning? is it to prep him for the cupping procedure?

  • Dear DrumMajor,

Chinese doctors believe, and so do I, that speeding up cupping initiates the distribution of Chi (the life force). Also they use these techniques as a preparation for much massive stimulation by cups.

    Thanks

    Boris

  • Very interesting videos Mgaft1, thank you for posting them, and please keep posting! very inlightening techniques

  • Thank you very much.Soon we will post new videos.

  • That looks very relaxing!!!!

  • Very educational. Correct way of using cups shown plus using fire on cups

  • Thank you very much

  • How long does it take for the marks to go away?

  • I`ve read that they can last between 10 and 15 days and depending on how long you leave them on even longer.

  • Ok, thanks. Didn't think it would be that long.

  • 10 to 15 days.
