  • still prefer more than ps3

  • Whoo hoo!

  • Crazy duck in space!

  • i was born when duck tales ended (1997) and i still prefer this than what they show/ play on the tv etc. NES FOREVER!

  • 01:33 - 01:43 DAT BASSLINE

  • 2:17 Your Welcome

  • My little sister would always watch me play this and she'd say "you missed another ice cream cone!" Didn't have any choice but to go back and get them lol, good times.

  • Wait Uncle Scrooge you need a suit up there....

  • Even in 8-bit....IT WILL NEVER LEAVE!!!!!!

  • @whostheman6 nc?

  • i miss the show, was the best show ever!

  • ducktale.. WOOOOoooo~~~~!!!!!

  • 2 people have never been to the moon before.

  • Life is like a hurricane.

  • Pure epicness

  • Wait a minute scrooge you need a suit up there!..how are u alive???

  • @MalakSaesmus

No I have it on my computer too, I meant on the virtual console on the wii

  • This game beats a lot of todays games easily.

  • damn i love that game as a kid:))

  • I think it's safe to say pretty much everyone watching this video is waiting for 2:17.

  • Ilove the moon theme as much as anyone else, but i also think that the other music in this game is unbelievable. But that was Capcom in the 80's/90's for ya........Gaming will never be this good again.

  • Two Words. The Moon. That's all that needs be said about this games music. Its virtually impossible to get much better music than that.

  • ahh memories, took me forever to figure out you can bash things with that cane of his

  • Capcom made some kick ass Disney games. Since Disney owns Marvel now and Capcom is making Marvel vs. Capcom 3, they should put Scrooge McDuck in Mv3.

  • the title theme translates amazingly to 8-bit format, plus The Moon will always be embedded into my memory :)

  • What is the song in 1:13 called? it fuckin pwns

  • this was a good nes game, anyone know how many copies it sold?

  • They should just realease 'Classic Nintendo' and re-release all the old games and lots of new games for $10-25 each, it's rediculas paying $100+ for a mega man game, eaven if they released it on disc form or shrunk the cartrages, would sill be great, the games that the re-release could have red cartrages and be 'greatest hits' like they do now hahaha

  • @CMOODO You can get some games off the wii store. Pretty limited selection tho... I dunno where you pay 100 bucks for mega man games tho the retro vid store in my city sells em for like 10 bucks, and you can get those mini retro game systems and they dont fuck up like old nes systems. Where theres a will theres a way!

  • @joshyjoshua69

Wow at my local game store the only mega man game that is under 50$ is mega man 8, the rest are all over 50, apart from some of the X games, i never cheaked thoose

  • @CMOODO Ya maybe cuz the one around here specializes in old school games, the walls are literally hidden by stacks of nes, snes, and sega games, its the best thing that ever happened to this city. Theres always emulators too theyre free :P

  • @joshyjoshua69

Yeah i use vnes, my store only has about 500 NES games, about 400 of them are crap ones that nobody heard of lol

  • @CMOODO

I actually have had that thought many time, I know so many people who would pick up a classic NES, me being one of them...what they should do is like the new super mario brothers, try to make 2d platformers with and old school feel to them and make collections like Capcom's Disney games...

  • Why is this game NOT on virtual console?!

  • @Crowster12781 There's a few games I wonder why they're not on the virtual console. Like Bionic Commando and Metal Gear. Still, that virtual console is the greatest thing since the, original, NES. Thank God for that, so now I can relive a small piece of my childhood.

I'm sure they'll release this game someday

  • 2:19 epic

  • Damn Uncle Scrooge's a hard ass, lol! =D

  • The Moon song is so moving and awesome. Games in recent years don't manage to even come close to this quality of a melody.

  • Didn't like the game as much, but I love the cartoons; use to watch it every morning before I went to school.

    Brings back memories ehhh.

  • OHHHHHH..Crazy duck in space......

  • This game was awesome. And finding the secrets in this game made it more fun than finding the secret warps in the mario games.

  • Holy crap, I forgot about this game! Damn, now that I think back...I think this was the first game I ever beat as a kid in the early 90's. Seeing the levels and hearing the music brings it all back! :D

  • Ducktales! WOOHOO!

  • Oh, Ducktales. Bouncing around on the cane was HELLA fun!

  • Wow, very good music!

  • ducktales batman sword master battletoads shadowgate bucky o hare rescue rangers talespinn maniac mansion and megaman 2 and journey to silius. THOOSE are games that have badassed music :D 5\5 on your video : )
  • I just finished an orchestral mix of the moon theme for my upcoming volume of classic game covers.

  • as awesome as the moon music is, why no love for the transylvania stage music?

  • Moon=greatness

  • The Moon has got to be one of the greatest video game songs ever made right up there with the SMB theme, the LoZ overworld, and Song B from Tetris GB.

  • I can never take the Ducktales theme song seriously anymore.

    "UNCUT, HOO"

My favorite song from this game was from the Amazon's stage. So upbeat and fun and adventurous!

  • Capcom could do no wrong on game soundtracks...they have some of the very best like the Mega Man series, Bionic Commando, Duck Tales and a bunch more.

  • omg, it looks im going back to my old times when i was 13 or younger..i deeply miss it, i miss my NES box,,,so cheaply sold...

  • @reyesmenendez

    ;(

There probably won't EVER come any more games which had that awesome feel to them like Ducktales and a bunch more :S Music is SOO bloody important in games that I can enjoy the game twice as much if it's good. Probably 90%+ of all games today don't really care :S

    That kinda sucks ;(

  • all down here in Spain, it came out of the blue for every1, not ready perhaps, success hit it immediately and i remember those days sitting in front of the telly and even recording them songs in cassette,I still keep track of them LOL, I used to go to bed with the songs, there were no mp3 or 4 or whatsoever is coming..its so sad things change, but future is unstoppable i guess.

  • Gotta Luv the duck tails theme... Awesome music.

  • First game I ever finished too!

  • great!

  • this was the first game i ever finished!!!! i was like 6 yrs old and i was so proud lol brings tears to my eyes

  • Same here. God, I loved that fucking video game!

  • We need a third Ducktales for the Wii.

    Now.

  • Ducks in outerspace !

  • The Moon theme from Ducktales could easily be the best song on the NES.

  • I wouldn't say THE best, but one of. It is a great song

  • @IB5Media There is no COULD. It IS the best song.

  • AHA! The moon -is- made of cheese, I knew it!

  • moon theme ftw

  • no video game with a character called Gizmo Duck could ever be bad.

  • this game is so fun i love it

  • I loved the way Capcom puts modulation in the square wave. It's funky.

  • LONG LIVE THE MOON

  • so say we all

  • Ah, its the old NES music that had me anticipating the next time I could got to a Blockbuster video store to rent whatever game I wanted. Though I think I favored Rescue Rangers more.

  • Comment removed

  • best game in the world :D

  • DUCK TREK WOO HOO!

  • It will never leave your head, it will never leave!

  • I swear to god, this was the best time EVER to be a kid. Get home from school, watch Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, do some homework, sit down and play some NES...ahhh good times...I miss being a kid, fuck this adult shit.

  • I feel ya man, I was the same way although I never got into Rescue Rangers. But everything else, yes... loved NES gaming as a kid. I always played games first though and did my homework before going to sleep. Heh heh...

After spending all day in school drowning in bullshit, we needed a break, so Nintendo was necessary. Luckily our parents agreed. They let us play for a few hours until dinner, then after dinner we had to do our homework and go to bed. Sometimes played Game Boy in bed...

  • I feel you too man, those were good times

  • Totally agree - the golden age of gaming is now long gone,,,

  • LOL but im rating you in a bad way tho

  • Haha we all feel the same. It's wierd, adult life wasn't so grand as it was said to be. We used to hang out at the backyard doing normal kid stuff and then go inside and play maybe half hour or an hour and back outside we went to play in the sun, regular kid stuff and mischief. LIVING IN OTHER WORDS!

Todays kids = Obsessed with video games and obese lil' wankers or wannabe gangster thugs who hardly play outside. D: Poor kids. We had the golden age.

  • yes we dude and ummm not ALL kids are like and where do you get obese lil wankers from? im only 17 active and have a job.. :\

  • And I am a super hero and I fight crime all while the night goes on strong, then I go home and totally bang my hot super model wife who is also a super hero during the night time as well.

  • that too

  • There's no part of this comment that isn't true.

  • You know it!

We played dodge ball in the pj's, then at night play games like this.

    I WANT THOSE DAYS BACK...

    =)

  • Wow, that's a very close-minded point of view. Way to stereotype, buddy.

Anyways, I remember loving the hell out of this game when I was younger. Sweet music, too.

  • I agree! :D

  • @Crowster12781 hahaha its true

  • @Crowster12781 It's just not the same is it? I remember coming home to play Pokemon Red and Mario Bros. on the N64. (You're clearly older than me, but the feeling was just the same.) The GameBoy Colour games I used to play were basically just NES games but portable, anyway. Hearing old music like this brings a tear to my eye... My fondest memories are of playing Wind Waker and Super Mario Sunshine on the GameCube...

I know what I'm doing this summer.

  • @Crowster12781

I so hear ya. I'd like to live that innocent NES time as a kid with no responsibilities whatsoever again.

  • @Crowster12781

Don't forget the Saturday morning cartoons too. Real Ghostbusters, Garfield & Friends, etc... and then more NES.

  • Son las aventuras de Mac Pato!

  • life is like a hurricane, here in duckberg, racecars, lasers, aeroplanes, it's a duck blur, like solve a mystery or rewrite history! god so many memories, long live ducktales, too bad disney is crap now except the movies, wall-e was cute as a button.

  • It was my first game. Unfortunately cartridge was damaged and graphics were all messed up, but I didn't know that and still enjoyed playing it.

  • really loved this game as a kid too, ahh what a great show as well. =D

  • I loved this game when I was younger! Also, "Moon Theme"...BEST! MUSIC! EVER!

I would always pause the game when I was at the moon just to listen to the music.

  • Did you know that the same composer who wrote the music for this game was part of the team that worked on the early Mega Man games? This composer specifically wrote Heat Man's theme from MM2, but I don't know specifically which others he composed.

  • me too. I miss those days. I would listen to the tmnt video game song 2 or 9 time before I hit start just to pump me up to play. Those were the days

  • Hell yeah! I loved this game so much!!

  • Yes it is a videogames from capcom and to me it s the best one from the disneys series. You should play it...it s amazing!

  • i never played this game, but i've seen it before.....wasn't this done by capcom????

  • ah the moon. Memories...

  • Nothing like good memories listening to the Moon.

  • God...... I used to love this game. I owned this and played the hell out of it. One of my fav nes games.

  • moon theme, one of the best songs ever! I don't post often but i had to do one for this one!

  • this game taught me not to mess around with a greedy old duck wielding a bouncing cane

  • The gameboy version is a surprisingly accurate port, it seems. Which reminds me, it's been absolute ages since I played that ...

  • The Moon theme is one of the best theme of all time...

  • one of my favorite old time games reminds me of good play times and bad thanks for uploading.

  • and the music of the cave

  • Capcom always had great music in their games. Duck Tales is an excellent soundtrack.

  • One has to be honest, one of my most pleasing video game achievements is getting the huge pile of cash at the end of the game, as opposed to the normal chest. I was the only person who got it that I knew, and that made me feel like I could properly play a game! ... Great days.

  • when I was like 8,9 I used to "date" this girl who was in love with me just so I could play this game at her house :)

  • lol

  • We PLAYER in the house!

  • @phille22

hahaha i just had to laugh at that

  • i wish they could bring this to xbla, that would be awesome =D

  • I saw this lying at a Goodwill for three bucks and I passed it up.

I was a stupid, stupid, STUPID lad!!!

  • The last song is the best of most other songs for the nes

  • it's so.....beautiful :')

  • I love the (alomst) last music here. Hail the space lvl theme.

  • *tear comes to eye* i hear you

  • some of the best nintoon music ever!

  • Laser racecars aeroplanes...

  • life is like a hurricane...

  • here in duckberg...(someone continue)

  • here in DUCKBURG (you dork!)

    Race Cars, Lasers, Aeroplanes

    Its a, Duck-blur...

  • Might solve a mystery! Or re-write history!

  • Ducktales! Wooohooo!

  • You are doing a great service to the world good sir! Keep it up!

  • Go Sakaguchi! I don't know where you are or what you're doing now, but you made some of the best video game music ever!

  • Duck Tales! Woohoo!

  • hey this has a megaman style gameplay to it..

  • It was done by the team that did Mega Man, I think.

  • Yep, Capcom made both games.

  • Ah, I remember this game. Put another notch up there for lovers of the Moon Theme. That song was and still is fun to listen too.

  • Awesome. People thought I was strange when I bought this game earlier this year. A childhood memory revisited! I always liked the Transylvania level.

  • I like the first and the third song :D

  • the moon theme is ted danson's favorite song.

  • Best music , forever. Ducktales.

  • agree

  • I totally forgot about Gizmo-duck, this makes me feel old.

  • Moon theme oh yeah! loved it ever since i was a kid

  • The moon theme FTW

  • IWBTG!

  • The moon theme is one of my personal favorites. But whenever I think of it I'm really thinking of DUCKTALES! (Nostalgia Critic for ya).

  • god damn great music.

  • One of the top five games for classic SNES

  • wow. someone needs to chillax.

  • First off, I didn't post the original comment, pay more attention. You just need to calm down. It's not as huge a deal that your making it out to be.

  • this is AWESOME, i played the hell out of this game!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Religiously for a month I would do a speed run of this before I went to sleep.

  • the moon theme is just beautiful

  • This game rocked so much !!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG

  • My favorite's the title screen, for obvious reasons!

  • bubba bubba bubba bubba dubba dubba

  • Capcom and Konami had the best music programmers of all time in the NES and SNES days.

  • This game had such awesome music.

  • Hell yeah...

  • Wow, this brings back loads of memories... I played the hell of the Game Boy version of this.
