I guess that all serious car makers will implement a functions that inhibits motion as long as there are a voltage present at the charging inlet.

An extension cord that is connected for charging, will inhibit driving, but if it is only taken out of the wall outlet, and not the car inlet, the car doesn't care. (Under the assumption that a physical detection of a plug in the car inlet will be more expensive than detecting the voltage, and thus omitted).

Looks good! But I don't think anyone in America will buy it unless it comes from Asia sadly. And if by some chance every family had a car like that, there would be so many instances of people forgetting to plug it in (or being too drunk to plug it in) and having no battery in the morning, or being in a rush in the morning and driving out of the garage with the plug still in. But hey I'm all for that hilarity!
