  • Wow I thought the 2871 would sound a little bit crazier.....maybe not.

  • Is there a write up on how to do km/h to mph

  • how is reliablity on the sr?

  • and this is where i jump in. were there any top end mods. timing adjustments? cams?

  • @Steven11525 Cams, valves, springs, solid lash adjusters, RAS... I did a slight port on it while I had the head removed, I've never done it, but it wasnt too bad.

  • thats fuckin sick love your speedo... who did you get it recalibrated by to read MPH on the KPH tach? id like to have that on my SR20 lol

  • hahah. I swapped chassis because this chassis had some body damage on it. I have the 115mph speedo, and i was like, "damn this is MUCH quicker..." then i realized that it all was an illusion.

  • i was watching this and saying to myself.. FUCK THIS IS WEAK!!.. then realised its in mph.. haha

  • @sirdicey still weak

  • "sounds nothing like mine" Lol

    115mph=180mph apparently

  • Last pull was 40mph to 110 mph in 3rd. This is hardly in the efficiency range of the GT2871R turbo. Once you start to get around 18 PSI, you start getting into where its more efficient. 14 PSI for this car only puts down about 320 RWHP. I run 255/45/17's in front, and 275/40/17's in the rear, and can easily break that traction which slows me down quiet a bit.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll go back to tuning.

  • @arisythila This doesnt look anything like 320whp..... My old stock redtop t25 looks like it pulls harder at like 7psi nvm @ 14. You are driving it like grandma but still... Check my vids

  • @dozedrift Yeah, 14 PSI is hardly in the turbos efficiency range. Also want to mention that this is in MPH not KPH. We've converted it from KPH to MPH. So 60 reading on there is 60 MPH. Sometimes its a little hard to compare the scale because the speedometer goes to 180 MPH, while yours probably goes to 115 to 120mph depending on which car. Watching over a few of your videos If I hammer it like you did, My first, to second to third is MUCH quicker.

  • @arisythila I don't believe it. I don't even need to look at your speedo I just listen for rev / gears. All that ripping you can barely even get third gear into the powerband lol... I don't care about your efficiency range psi, more like inefficient rpm range. My car was redlining 4th gear hittin 5th undershifting by the time your hitting third lol.

  • @dozedrift LOL. Its suppose to be a 3rd gear pull. The 275's on the rear of my car cannot hold the power to the street. I can't get traction in 1st gear. and 2nd gear even from a roll has a hard time getting traction. You do have a nice drifting car tho.

  • @arisythila yeah I think if you rev your car right to the rev limiter it will killl it, sr's kinda weak on bottom especialy with turbo lag

  • @dozedrift Who says I'm running the weak bottom end? You think your the only person that has upgraded your rods and pistons? Maybe upgraded the sleeves in your motor? sent your crank to a machine shop to PERFECTLY balance it? Watch some of my other videos. :-) I watched yours.

  • @arisythila I didnt mean it like that, I mean even a built sr is weak at the bottom end of the powrband. 3500-6000 then back down to 4000, lag, then 6000 is weak power. Needs to be more like 7800rpm shift, 5800 to 7800rpm at least. Especialy if your running big boost cus it prob wont even full boost till like 5500-6000. I shift at 9000 everytime rev limit every gear POPPOP lol. This vid didnt look like a built sr, sounds nothing like mine.

  • @dozedrift Bottom end has very little to do with powerband. Cams and timing has a lot to do with where your powerband is. In this were running the JTW S4's so we were able to extend the power band out to about 7800 RPM. I get full boost around 3000-3500 RPM. Power band starts at 2800RPM to ~7500 RPM. Very nice powerband, let me try to find the dyno. Been a couple of years since we dynoed it.

  • something seems off here....my stock sr acceled faster than that with 11psi on stock turbo

  • Oh snap.
