is 2gb ram better then 3gb ram on this laptop? because i bought a upgrade from 1gb to 3gb but i dont see any diffrence

lol.. how can 2 gb be better than 3 gb.. 3 gb is always better.. how are you comparing them? if you are not putting proper load on it it will never utilize the entire 3GB.. also i think that this laptop comes with a celeron processor.. in that case the ram can only do so much.

@ipunished well the store owner told me that if i put in that another 2gb the laptop might get overheated and it could be better if i toke out the 1gb so i only had 2gb

dude.. RAM has nothing to do with overheating.. also ive kept this laptop, its cooling system is excellent. I have put thins laptop on full lload for more that 48 hours and even then it kept going.

you can install the 3GB ram.. it wont overheat your laptop

Hi, sorry to bother you. I have the same laptop and my RAM is only 765MB. If I was to add 2GB would it make much difference? Is it a visible improvement? I've never had any problems with it but some extra speed wouldn't hurt.

increasing RAM will always improve your performance. But if you are okay even with your current 768 RAM then you may not notice any improvement after installing the additional 2GB.

It will be visible improvement for those people that feel that the 765 RAM is insufficient. You obviously dont use your laptop for heavy purposes

if you have this same model then you can install a maximum of 3.2 GB RAM in your laptop. and yes RAM upgrades work automatically, you dont need any softwares

I play poker online for a living, and i use this computer but over the last month or two. it just overheats and freezes all the time, therefore crashing my poker tables and sometimes in important hands. What is the reason for this? anyone know? what can i do to help this?

the maximum usable ram for this laptop is 3.2GB. I said usable because you can even install 4 GB but will only be able to use 3.2GB
