That's great. I wish there were more that still raided BM. I raid end game as BM now through hard modes in ICC 25. I have clocked myself doing 8.5k myself and my pet doing 4.5k. (12-13k tops on perfect conditions combined) With right gearing and skill.. (yes skill with BM :P) successful BM raiding can be done with practice. :)

Cobra reflexes is a great talent. Asuming you have a cunning pet , this talents provides you more crits for less dmg and alowing you to use Wilverine Bite more often. Also for PvP it is great for Pushback.

as a hunter, it doesn't matter what weapon you use, as long as it has good stats. it only matters what bow/gun you use

Beast Mastery used to be best at level 70 for everything now it is more solo and leveling. My hunter is still 70 but I hear people used survival for pvp/pve.

my main is a retri pally and i toke me like 2 mouths to get ti lvl 70 and then when wotlk about 2 weeks to get from lvl 70 to lvl 80( my first char)

now i started a bm hunter about 4 days ago and its lvl 50 already no boost! i got to say there realy fast to lvl and i have been owned by them in pvp too :P

i thought blizz decided to be thoughtful to all those newbie toons and made the experience required to level reduced by 30% or so, i know this cuz i was 64 and before wotlk came out and i think i needed over 600k xp to level but when wotlk came out, it reduced to a little over 400k which helped me get to 70 faster.....then a big jump in xp required worried me >.>

Yeah, gorillas are amazing. Plus, you can aggro 6 yellow mobs, kill them all, and only use up half your mana

You can pull a lot more than 6 mobs and waste less than a quarter mana if you do it right. Though cats and raptors don't suck at all. Well.. cats will once the next patch hits.

guys all stats for pets were normalized and balanced, only difference between pets are the percentual bonuses given by the pet family (Cunning, ferocity and tenacity) and also the unique pet family skill... so there isnt any BEST pet... i thought cat sux but i tamed my ghostsaber yesterday and it really rox and the extra DPS from Rake are not that bad either :)

If you want a pet that can tank and hold aggro on multiple mobs I would go with the Gorilla: Thunderstomp is a great AoE. its not exotic so you dont need the 51 point talent but being BM buffs its damage big time.

Id recommend a cat or a scorpid (surprisingly they hold just about the same dps as a cat or devilsaur?!? iknorite) if ur gunna spec into bm with our Beast Master Id suggest thos 2 pets they average on my recount 1100-1600 dps

It wasn't. But they changed ravagers a little and they aren't as great now. I'd recommend a cat or a raptor.

I have a feeling the "readiness spec" that is currently pulling top dps is going to be useless come next hunter nerf (readiness no longer affects BW)so now it will only reset rapid fire which is basically USELESS as BM spec due to already being haste capped with just quiver and 5/5 SS.

BM is clearly still #1 raid dps and a marks/survival hybrid with its burst damage and its trap/clip bonuses is still the obvious choice for high rated arena (thank god we are no longer drain bots).

This is all the BM can do, 18sec on bestial =3100dps +/- per second... MM and SV does more damage.. and btw the buffs is for all hunters on raids not only for BM, maybe u should try pvp :O

It takes *some* skill to play a good hunter. But really, it's a pretty relaxed class. I made a mage recently because I heard those are really fun to play in PvP.

Yeah, Mages are extremely fun to play in PvP, if you have the gear anyway but that is the same with all classes. Frost Mages are extremely fun in PvP and can pretty much own anyone from a distance, no matter what class, all depending on your skill.

Oh and btw, BM can do a lot more dps than this. If you can cap 150 haste you'll be pure win. My pet also would crit 1.5k in raids, but ofc that is raid buffed too (but not including Bestial Wrath/Beast within. So this is really just a tiny bit of what Bm hunters are capable of. :o :]
