@LT1HILLINGHOE Thats good! Around here it seems the LS1 has godlike forces. No doubt they're great engines, but man I like to see something on LT1's sometimes too....
@94z28derk didnt sound modded. maybe an exhaust? definately no cam or exhaust from the sound of it. you may be hearing the other cars in the backround.
My 93 Z28 has a flowmaster catback exhaust and rolls around on american racing ventura II (16x10 in the rear. 16x8 up front) wrapped in Cooper Cobra GT's. Other then the exhaust and a K&N air filter, its stock. I wonder what it will do in the 1/4. One of these days I'll find the time to find out.
my 119,000 mi 93 formula has a best of 13.80 k&n fipk, thermomaster chip,160 stat and still have the crappy 2.73 gears. i'm 53 and keep it running like the day it came out of the factory!!! headers and a gear change will wake it up some more but been happy with it like this for the last 10yrs
I,ve saw many stock 4th gen fbodies go in the mid to high 13's darter1075. This guy just did it on street tires. Dont know if it is all stock. But they can do it stock.
i got a 94 z28 and im about to put headers, ORYP, magnaflow catless back exhaust, cold air intake and tune. stock 2.73 gears, 4 speed auto with overdrive. any guesses what ill be putting down in the 1/4?? anyone??
What are you talking about tool. They are under rated. I have a bone stock 93 camaro with the cat cut out of it, and i put down 265Hp and 301FT lbs at the wheels. and i ran a 13.6 at 101MPH.
Wow im glad you can use a computer to tell you how fast a car is suppose to go, but you also have to account for traction, TORQUE, air temp, track temp, how well they take care of the motor, and even tire temp. All these things are not taken into account when the computer calculates that time
I did it with a stock 95 Camaro, I have ebay brand long tube headers, that's about it. I run a 2.2 60 foot time, so it's very possible with a good sticky tire that a stock lt1 can run 13.8.
BTW, I have a video on my profile of me doing it at a track that is notorious for bad times.
I don't know about the stockness of that camaro. We use to have the 2002 collector's edition trans am, 5.7 with the WS6 package, 325hp and that only ran 13.30's with a good driver.
Those cars have terrible 60ft times, about 2sec, where as my mom's f-150 with my sister driving ran 1.5sec 60 ft times. Once those 5.7's get up to rpms they take off like a rocket though.
It's purely stock. Yeah those 350s are built so good. Love them. Since then I've repainted it and put an exhaust on it. Runs 13.5s now.

very underated cars for their time. I don't understand why they never were too popular. This is coming from a mustang guy also.

@Jrm4cam Actually the LT1 Camaro was much more popular than the LS1. And around here, no one underates an LT1....just saying.

i dont think you understand the concept of how fast a 1.5 60 foot time is...the top fuel dragsters only pull a 1.0
