  • 形意拳 VS 詠春 2 Wing Chun VS Xing Yi 2 - what is your take on his vt?

  • if i was this guy sifu id say congratulations , but learn to thrust in your ving tsun skills alone and not in BS taekwondo kicks, wong shon leung would have a herat attack if he saw that kick

  • why on earth does this guy highkick , i am also a practicioner of both yip ma and wong shon leung ving tsun and in neither linieage did i ever learn a high kick . Ok it did work doesnt matter , if you have to violate the wing chu principles -to hit , then tehere is something wrong with WC skills

  • @vinni614 The whole point of this match was to show the other guy that his Traditional WT was not enough. He actually learnt WC longer then I had before coming to our school albeit a year or so but the point is very simple in the eyes of WSL: Don't become a slave to VT, become it's master, Use VT when it is needed and stick to it's principals (which are not set in stone by any means) and when the time comes WIN at any cost. The point is, I planned out my attacks on his ridged WT with ease.

  • not a very good traditional wing chun guy no chi sau

  • love the head kicks

  • Wish i could go and demonstrate my schools Wing Chun, haha but you are much too far!

  • You think you are faster than me? That was slow.

  • Excelent skill. Very good timing. Was not done with full power out of respect. Who can't see skill here never fought himself.

    Respect.

  • One guy uses the principles of wing chun better than the other, that is all. Weight on back leg stay relaxed keep the wedge.

  • Very good, your videos are very much worth watching. I too practice wing chun but from the leung sheung lineage

  • @jaiharman1 It was you, not me, who first made broad claims about the discipline being superior. I never said you were personally an incapable fighter. Your comments are contradictory and poorly reasoned.

  • Awesome videoo ..im more into JKD lately but i started with kickboxing and wing chun ..this awesome ..i like the stance green shirt displays ..alot like bruce lee said about being coiled up like a snake or a cobra just waiting to lunge into his attack ..that first kick one of my favourites to use ..really can scare someone who thinks they kno martial arts and defence when u flash your foot in there face just centimeters away !! great video

  • Wing Chun is not about hitting and getting hit. It's about not getting hitted while hitting. There's a thing called control and I don't see it here. Anyone who steps back or dodges an attack losing his body structure is either a bad practitioner or a very advanced one. I'll go for the first.

  • @arielodiz First off, Yes I am a very advanced Sifu not practitioner. You are very rude and short sighted. Ving Tsun is only an 'ideal' the techniques you practice will never look like that in sparring or a real fight. I teach Chinese people Ving Tsun(in China) as a white guy. Do you think that says something about my level of skill. Secondly, If you watch the fight again and try and count how many times I get hit (once) more to the point, the fight would have been over in the first 3 seconds.

  • @jaiharman1 Experts dont advertise.

  • @TheBuddafinger I guess that's why you don't advertise then is it? "Kung Fu student of life"

  • @jaiharman1 you sound fully up yourself bro. good luck with that.

  • @TheBuddafinger That's funny, I was not the one who initiated this discussion was I...... It was you who decided that YOU think you know everything and love to tell people about how much you know with stupid internet comments. Go somewhere else if you don't like it, no one asked you to come here.

  • @jaiharman1 isnt the net great where two guys can hate on each other from across the world. Love it.

  • @TheBuddafinger Yeah it is. Hey look, can you see, I'm showing you my two buddafingers right now, albeit the middle ones.

  • @jaiharman1 ha ha you alright man.

  • @arielodiz i think that was a good fight but I dont think just because its WSL lineage it makes it better......I come from a CST lineage and I think our systems forward force and projection is great even greater than any other lineage but it all lies in the fighter.. I saw no hooks or takedowns here apart from a sweep and yes I throw hooks and uppercuts ....wing chun is an idea whatever comes from my fist is wing chun :)

  • Great Video!! Just wondering does your lineage have a large focus on kicks? I don't know if it's just you implementing it or if your teacher encourages and teaches to include kicks as well. Either way, great job!

  • whew! i'm so glad i found this video! i've been searching for a very good Wing Chun sparring session for almost a week already.

I don't hate other lineage but I'm lucky to have a WSL Lineage teacher in my country. and he is actually my officemate @ work. lol!

    respect from Philippines.

  • What technically is modern wing chun? I do wing chun and just do whatever works while following principle, is that the same idea? So long as it's an available move, and risk is low, I'll take it.

We were taught that our training was not limited to the school and that there was no right answer to any one situation, and so not one motion to cancel out another. That kicking high wasn't ideal, but if available why not. Committing not best, but if open why not. I mix mine with Bak Mei personally.

  • Very interesting video. Martial arts evolve over time. Those that don't die. I'm glad to see some WC practitioners evolving WC art.

  • @mikeymarshful Thanks for the support. Subscribe and rate for more to come.

  • great technique great timing

i respect ur bridging speed and how u reach him 1st and ur foot work

  • @Azmorai Thanx

  • This is nice. I would like to see these students spar again after additional years of training.

  • @jaiharman1 It's quite apparent from the vid that you are comfortable with sparring and your control of the centerline is better than your partner's. However, you seem to be lacking in the other aspect of what we train in kung fu, namely humility, and come across as condescending more than anything else. For someone who claims not to be making a lineage promoting video you sure are doing a pretty good job at it. Don't delude yourself that it's not just because you say it isn't so.

  • pretty good could do without the music and useless effects though XD

  • Never get sick of watching this video. :)

  • the mastery of the art lies in the practicioner ..

  • @TheG2Z No truer word has been spoken with regards to kung fu and kung fu practitioners worldwide. Thank you for recognizing that important fact.

  • First off, that kick would've landed and the sweep behind it would've also worked. I have watched a few of your vids and they are damn good! I've been in WC for almost two years now and these are the best and only real sparring vids ive seen. .

  • @tech9er954 Someone can see what's in front of them. Thanks for the support.

  • What is the difference between Wing Chun and Ving Tsun. I just looked up what Ving Tsun is and found out it's pretty much the same style.

  • @InazumaWaya9 I could be wrong but I think Ving Tsun is just another way of spelling/pronouncing wing chun. I have seen a couple other ways it has also been written.

  • @NightRider2k8 It's not. There are different ways to spell the same art, but different masters/sifus/teachers teach the same art in a different way. some very strict traditionalists, some shitty copies of that, and some have a more modern touch of the traditional way. what you see here is two 'fighters' and two sets of 'tools' one using old fashion rusty tools with no room for adaptation and the other armed with a Swiss Army Knife with no particular restrictions for each tool's purpose.

  • @jaiharman1 oh right, thanks for the info :D

  • @InazumaWaya9 one is fake and shitty, one is embroiled in lies, deceit and politics. we fall in the category of Gong Fu, in the style of Ving Tsun. a very different affair.

  • @InazumaWaya9 Ving Tsun is just a different spelling of wing chun, when you translate Cantonese words into english the spelling is subjective, for example western countries sometimes spell Taoism with "t", and at other times with a "d", Daoism.

  • So on what days and timing are you teaching now? I will be returning to training soon as my injuries look almost totally healed and I want to make sure I attend the sessions you are coaching hehehe

  • Posted a video response with my own fight refereed by Sifu Wang Shi Peng.

  • I am a student at Beijing Ving Tsun as well and Jai Harman taught me a lot too. :)

  • This kid knows hot to apply wing chun

  • No disrespect to the WSL lineage, in fact my sifu is 1/3 WSL, but my sifu convinced me that being purely aggressive is not the best indicator of the best lineage. eg being overly forward and aggresive cuts off kinetic linking=you rely more on upper body strength= you depend on upper body muscles= the one with the stronger upper body wins...and that is antithesis to good wingchun (which proposes structure wins over size etc)...good fight though!

  • One example is a poor comparison of styles - but if it was you would both be embarrassed because that kick thrown at 0:21 was right into his blocking arm and you easily could've been pushed onto your back by an experienced fighter. The other guy's lack of consideration for balance is also shown right away by falling over with his legs less than shoulder width and neither in front of the other to that leg sweep.

  • @HiImBobBum Should have, would have, could have............... it didn't happen, you see the fight in video form, why try and say this and that after you see the video. It's plain and clear for everyone to see, even in slow motion, NO ONE HAS BEATEN ME YET!!!! So unless you are gonna come and try, SHUT UP.

  • @jaiharman1

No one has beaten you before? i would believe that, does your modern ving stun rotate the shoulder while punching? because i know traditional wing chun keeps their shoulders down.

  • @kickboxer1391 Our modern Ving Tsun encompasses a lot of ways to counter and adapt to the new era of fighting. All of the techniques have been 'revamped' per say. We have ground fighting, ground defence and also lots of Shuai Jiao(chinese wrestling pre-BJJ) added in there too. That is not to say that our VingTsun principals are missing as we stay true to the WongShunLeung method of rooting or body but staying flexible too. We dont necessarily rotate our shoulders but would if we were forced to.

  • @jaiharman1

I see. You fight very well, actually this the best wing chun spar i saw on youtube, no joke. Most wing chun guys are too stiff and once their structure goes down the drain they start brawling. Your style is more relax and can better adapt to any strikes that are thrown, but you still have those wing chun principles and technique. As a fellow kung fu practitioner, I'm greatly impress by your art. No offense though, i don't think the fight would be over with the first 3 moves. LOL

  • @jaiharman1

Would you go without gloves to knock out or submission?

  • @jaiharman1

Would you fight to knock out, or submission with no gloves, pads, or head gear?

  • @Irontrianglefighter I have, many many times.

  • @jaiharman1

It would be cool if you could post one, or email it to me if you have it on video and would just prefer not to share with the general population. I would be interested to see it. I have about a year, or so to go before I will have my first. Thanks for the post. Nice to meet you.

  • @jaiharman1 now im almost sure its because of the gloves but i gotta ask anyways wheres the tansaos and bong saos? its wingchun but with more of a kick boxing flare is it because ur using gloves?

  • @jaiharman1 It didn't happen because the other guy is no master either. If no one really has beaten you yet, its because you haven't fought any masters. When I see a video of you winning a serious tournament, then you'll be worth arguing with or a worthy person to exemplify a style of martial art. Beating people up does not make the martial art you practice superior to the martial art they practice, it just means that you were better in at least that ONE situation.

And no, I won't shut up.

  • @HiImBobBum These are just sparring matches dickhead. I win in the street with 6-8 vs me no problem. It happened last week and has been happening all my life. These are REAL situations. I don't give a shit about competitions, status and rank.... all I care about is being able to beat the next guy when it really matters. Get off my dick!!!

  • @jaiharman1 Is Beijing really that dangerous lol? Not to say that your lying but where the hell do you hang out lol

  • @papertiger7 Yep, pretty dangerous if you stray too far from civilization. China in general is very racist and I myself have been victim of numerous racist attacks in the time I've been here. Good job I can look after myself and others around me.

  • pretty cool! -

  • 12 people studied Traditional WC......

  • White shirt's endurance sucks big ass.

  • @jabber22 It's called getting the energy beaten out of you, not fatigue in that short amount of time. The first time he bows over is because he was basically nearly KO'ed on his feet, that's why you see Master Wang Zhi Pent (the referee) jump in and halt the fight to see if he is OK. Hope this clears up your misconceptions.

  • @jaiharman1

even if he took some shots his endurance is still horrible, he needs to drink less coca cola and work on his cardio and just kick you in the fuckin balls next time

  • @jabber22 because kicking him in the balls is gonna be that easy right?

  • 1:52 loved the gullotine take down!

  • you seem to like leg sweeps. i havent seen too much of that in wing chun! its good. grappling seemed to be a bit different to trade wing chun too. i dont know much about lineage but i had previously learnt wing chun a little bit. good work.

  • .. don`t know who`s VT or WC.. but green wins.

For me it`s not a question of style here, like so often (or always). The green guy is just agile and powerfull, the withe guy isn`t. Maybe the green guy also has more fighting experience.

  • @JoeJedi75 green is Jai the awesome channel owning dude

  • bel wc...mi è sempre piaciuto wsl...complimenti...

  • i love the last highkick because is a sorprease your wing chun is really good

  • Great Video Jai. If I ever travel up to Beijing or if you are EVER in Hong Kong. We definitely should meet up.

  • @wkmark Send me an email and I will be happy to meet up when you're in the area. I'm on a Beijing number and live here in Beijing.

  • i appreciate the good display of practical and application of wing chun for both parties. As far as the argument of whether WC is confined to low kicks; its in my opinion it depends on the fighter's flexibility, positioning, situation and angles to utilize high or low kicks.

  • wow excellent sparring

  • excellent and inspiring footwork. thank you for posting these videos. greetings from wing chun family in Edmonton, Canada !

  • I watched this again. Looks fairly even for halfway through video, until the guy in white shirt gets tired. Clearly, as in boxing, conditioning (being in shape) was a big factor.

  • @slamminsammy35 I agree your first comment but not this one, you missed the whole beginning, the fight would have been over in under 5 seconds if it was a real fight, leaving no room for fatigue. modern WSL ving tsun is designed not to go the distance but to brutally close down the opponant and give them no room to breath, finishing the fight within seconds. the reason he got fatigued in the first place comes down to the realisation that no matter what he did, he couldn't find a way in.

  • @jaiharman1 Going back to my original comment the guy in green just looks like a more seasoned fighter. My only interest is I have a friend studying TWC on E Coast. There is a Leung Ting Wing Chun school in my area and I wouldnt mind checking it out. My rank is in Okinawan Kempo but I have crossed trained and been to JKD seminars, Modern Arnis, among others. What little I do know about it is my friend said TWC is about attacking the blindside. I didn't see any of that in this video.

  • My dog aint in this fight cuz im a Karate guy, but is "wing chun" really WC with boxing gloves on? Also isn't it more who as an individual is able to apply their technique better, not one style superior to another? For example in boxing Joe Frazier beat Muhammad Ali in 1971 by taking away his space, cutting the ring and making him rush his punches, although both were "boxers." Ali won the rematches by holding inside and fighting in flurries. Style did not decide, talent and application did.

  • @slamminsammy35 You are 100% correct and that's why I posted the video to explain Traditional Wing Chun has NO room for change or adapting to new fighting styles where as Modern Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun has a lot of room for change and actually promotes adapting. FYI. Wong Shung Leung was the teacher of Bruce Lee, Who is the king of adapting to new styles and learning their weaknesses. Again, I am not trying to say which STYLE is better, It is the fighter and the tools they are given to use.

  • Hey, nice video. I'm thinking of learning Wing Chun myself, however, the nearest school (which is still 1.30 hour travel away from my location) teaches a not wong shung long lineage. How easy can other lineages be adapted by myself to incorporate other movements/ techniques if you learn another lineage? In my opinion, the very basics of wing chun should be similar regardles of the lineage, however the application, interpretation and adaption may be different. What is your view? Thanks!

  • Sparring gives you a false hope for combat?? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Let's look at this logic from a different angle. Guns are designed to kill and maim. So would this mean that target shooting and live ammo training gives one a false hope for combat? Maybe the military should not use live ammunition but instead make bang ,boom , and whoosh noises ? That would be silly don't you think? No, instead you should train in real time under pressure and against a non compliant op

  • @jre104 you are from other country so I can tell you. In the past I have got streetfight with huge guy. 1.90m tall 120 kg of muscles. I've jab him one time straight to the throat- that was enough- but what is important- earlier I never sparing and train this technique with other person. singhakabuttar tell the true- sparings are not as important as many people think but still important

    sorry for bad english

  • what are your workouts. i do mma wing chun(u know what i mean).

an i would like to know how u condition ur body

  • @TheStoneface Now I am laughing my ass off. Dude I am just going to put it like this if you said that to me face to face you would get seriously hurt or even worse.

  • @TheStoneface Sorry son its people who don't train at all who talk alot of shit like yourself. Again grandmaster cheung has uses high kicks retard. Not all wing chun lineages are the same you retarded asshole. And I have had the honor of training with grandmaster cheung many times. You come on here talking crazy fool. Please don't stop making me laugh because you sound like an asshole. Keep being a internet tough guy and get a life.

  • @TheStoneface You are a Moran. You fight with the principles of wing chun and in some lineages there are high kicks, for example my lineage, the william cheung lineage. You are just another prime example of someone who is probably overweight and never trained a day in your life.

  • Both of them would be Knocked Down with simple Boxing techniques, because:

    -Lag of Footwork

    -Very bad Defence

-The one in White T-Shirt has zero to none Condition

  • I'm just wondering, are the opponents equally matched?

  • @TheStoneface You really have issues!!! maybe you should go talk to someone about them....... Sawatdi Khrap

  • @TheStoneface are you RETARDED? What are you even talking about??? You don't even get the point of the video so I'm not sure if I should even offer an explanation as to why. I'm showing that old out of date Traditional Wing Chun is not enough against a well trained Modern VingTsun fighter. By modern I mean, none of my VingTsun techniques have been changed, but the other stuff I apply in the fight is used when and where I need it. I am not trying to show you a traditional WC fight video dumbass

  • @jaiharman1 Dude people who have never been in a real fight don't even try to explain to them. Many people think everything is suppose to look like a movie or video game. Good job in the video bro you used the principles very well.

  • Which one is tradition and modern?

  • Comment removed

  • So I'll fight with jeans.

  • @BlindingAnime I train for real situations not competitions and looking fancy. In a real fight you don't have time to slap on a pair of Tap-Out shorts and a UFC hoody before mixing it up with a hooligan. So I always try to wear what I would be wearing in the street. Seems to pay off. I can fight and feel comfortable in anything from a suit n tie to baggy jeans and t-shirt and have done on many occasion. Thanx for the interest.

  • @jaiharman1 you have some quick reflexes

  • @ofomatheblackbelt Thanx, make sure to rate and subscribe for more.

  • Im beginning win tsung after taking kenpo for a while. It seems effective when used correctly, this is a great video!!

  • ahhahahahha the head kick at the end was great. are u the guy in teh green?

  • @MmaNcovers Yes, that's me. Thanks for the interest, don't forget to Rate, Comment and Subscribe to all of my videos and you will get updates when I upload new ones.

  • hey dude, is that you in the video ¿?

    watch?v=i7gFbUc2-d8&feature=related

  • Maybe you should put up a video of your jkd so we can see you beat some one up ten times better. How'd you get 10 times just curious? Why not 27 or maybe 42.5 times better?

  • jeet kune do is 10 times better

  • @kths48 wow, did you write that sentence all by yourself?

  • @jaiharman1 lol check out Kths's videos for a few good laughs!

  • @kths48 I know who you are, your the guy that had jeet kune do vids and talked about fighting on concrete. You should also know that 60% of Jeet Kune Do is wing chun. Come on dude don't come on here being big headed. No style is better than any other and those who say that are silly people. Help martial arts be martial arts.

  • so modern ving tsun is wearing jeans? :>

  • Hi Jai, nice work great technique was great to watch, I really wish people would stop the whole lineage wars and I wish all forms of wing chun could come together and learn from each other, I am a practitioner of william chuengs lineage but i also train with a sifu from WSL lineage we are both great friends and enjoy learning from each other. Great stuff mate and 1 day i hope to come and meet you. Keep up your great work.

  • Hi Jai I would like to say thankyou for posting these videos on youtube to show the true effectiveness of this martial art, many people instantly assume mma is the dominator of all martial arts its nice to see there are talented people representing wing chun, I've been practising wing chun and boxing and some mma groundwork and i'm hoping within a few years i'l be able to make it into the cage to represent wing chun, good luck with your training

  • @HyPeRCoN92 no problem. Rate and subscribe for more.

  • @HyPeRCoN92 this looks ridiculous, wing chun is not for sparring, unfortunately the western world likes to turn everything into a boxing format, tit for tat sparring, this totally ruins arts like kung fu, karate, jiujitsu, which were designed to maim or kill, you dont even start off by squaring up to someone, its meant to be survival thats it!!

  • @singhakabuttar You're a fool. I question your intelligence because you clearly cannot see past your nose. This training is in Beijing, China. Not in the west. Taught by none other than Master Wang Zhi Peng. Skill? You have to prove it, or loose it. It's only shitty western Wing Chun schools that do not promote fighting in this art as they are not skilled enough to teach or even get involved in the sparring themselves and rely on their theory or fake respect from their students to get money.

  • @jaiharman1 wherever this training is it doesnt really matter, it still looks ridiculous, it bears no resemblance to streetfighting, which is always been what wing chun is for, as for my level of inteligence, you seem to make quick judgements about people you know nothing about, as i said before these very effective arts are turned more into a boxing/kickboxing type format, which wing chun and arts alike are not designed for, this type of sparring gives you false hope for real combat.

  • f the haters. Great video!

  • Great video you guys are good

  • Great job!

  • okay, real wing chun doesn't throw a punch without thinking ahead. Seriously, this is more like experienced versus not experienced. This video is lame looks like bunch of kids playing around not knowing what to do.

  • Are you for real? what makes you think he is a beginner? just because i can beat him doesn't make him a beginner!!! he has been doing his martial art for over a decade. Im pretty sure you dont want me to know who you are as you have had your fake account the exact amount of hours as your stupid post on my page. now does that mean you are a troll and or another wc, vt, wt student or teacher? probably, but i wont speculate any further as i deal in fact, my actions speak louder then your words.

  • Comment removed

  • @jetenculefilsdeputre It doesn't make him a beginner either PRICK! If you think you can do better. Show me and the world instead of hiding behind your fake profile. Maybe if you weren't such a pussy, you can come here and take a look for yourself. Then I can upload a video titled Jai Harman vs Pussy. Grow up fool.

  • Comment removed

  • @jetenculefilsdeputre And then you go and remove your previous comments to hide what your have already said making it look like I am ranting. ohhhh so clever yet lacking in originality.

  • Hello! i realy like your style sir!

I am also doing WSl wing chun, and i have to say that you are very good in this videos,i like your style and i am a little bit jellus :D

I study wing chun in Greece my Master is Evangelos Vasilakis!!!

I hope to see more vide of yours.Keep it up!!!

  • Great video friend.!!You are good, keep training!!!Your opponent just need more experience...That's all!!

  • @yiyi3000 ARE YOU MAD!!!!! WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT VINGTSUN. DONT TRY AND TELL ME ABOUT WHAT IS OR ISNT VING TSUN, JUST BY YOUR COMMENT I CAN SEE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WC VT WT. IF YOU DID, YOU WOULD SEE IT IN THIS FIGHT. FOOL

  • @jaiharman1 ok

  • i favorited this video before i even finished watching 15 seconds of it.. good fighting attitude. technique / lineage is not that important. it's willingness to engage and destroy your opponent that's important.

  • I'm guessing the guy your sparring with is from William Cheung's lineage lol.

  • @papertiger7 Nice try, but no. I said I would not disclose his details out of respect for the art and himself. please, no more guessing

  • @jaiharman1 dude you should totally go for pro mma fights just like shawn obasi ! both of you are damn good

  • @icexxboy Thanx. Shawn is actually a good friend of mine and we exchange tips and theories all the time. If you want to support either of us more, we both have facebook profiles with more videos and stories.

again, thank you for your support.

  • Nice video. Got the "smell" of WSLWC. Simple, Direct & efficient.

  • The first kick that you use reminds me of Wan Kam Leung, who was one of WSL's students. I'm guessing that kick is WKL's thing b/c WSL seemed to be more about fists than feet. It's effective. I'm not good enought yet to pull that off, but it's fun to see things in the art like that. It's above the waist but it makes total sense. Very nice! All of it is good btw!

  • Nice bro! Thumbs up!!

    -Justin

  • Excellent sparring! the last part turning kick to the head certainly caught everyone by surprise.

  • I can't see from this video how WSL VT is superior to the other WC. I can see you, Jai, was the better fighter, but what specifically did you use that's unique to WSL VT that you think helped you win the fight?

  • wow que interesante wing chun

van muy bien no se otro idioa masque español

suerte sigan asi saludos desde mexico (:

  • Hey Jai you know any clubs or school of wing chun from Beijing Yiru Sport Fitness Club? there are a dozen of them coming down under to our VT school for some exchange :) this will be interesting on Jan soon. I thought the group was you and Wang Shi Fu hahaha pity it wasn't..

  • WSL students and teachers always seem to excel. Big difference between Nino Bernado or Gary Lam and the other teachers floating around the internet.

They teach you to fight, as opposed to sucking dollars from you in a marketing scam.

  • @MueX most WSLVT teachers do anyway, like my SIfu will always keep it as $15 rate as do any Aussie WSLVT Sifus, but beware of those who claim they are WSLVT's teacher...these ppl only took maybe 2-4 months of classes, didn't get any cert or got some mediocre cert and start teaching in his backyard...beware of these ppl!

  • i dont think it was neccesery for this video to be uploaded.

  • what does wslvt mean

  • @l2q Thanx for the interest, It means Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun (wing chun) WSL is titled as being Yip Man's best student. he also taught Bruce Lee. I come from that ving tsun lineage

  • @jaiharman1 what is the difference between wing chun and ving tsun.

cause im pretty sure i do wing chun

  • @l2q Same thing,different spelling.

  • @OwayneKhoo93 No. not the same thing different spelling. The art is supposed to be the same thing, but different schools that spell it differently also teach it differently. there are many different wing chun styles. such as: Guan Dong Ving Tsun, Hong Kong Ving Tsun and Wing Tsun, Vietnam Ving Tsun Kuen, IPWC WSLVT HKVTAA. Very different all of them. but all the same art called 咏春拳 Yong Chun Quan in Mandarin Ving Tsun Kuen in Cantonese. Please research before adding any uneducated opinions.

  • @OwayneKhoo93 sorry, didn't see that you were replying to someone else's comment.

  • You have amazing skill bro. Much respect.

  • I think both styles are same and the battle probably is not to proove which style is better or more effective. It's only that you, Jai, are a better fighter and more skilled than the other guy. =)

  • Its so strange how come that foot sweep works so well! Is it because you only do it when he is putting his weight on that foot?

  • @OwayneKhoo93 People call me, "The King of Talking With The Feet" it works because the opponent's body is in backwards motion and slightly to one side. left or right, when i see that or force them in that direction, I decide which leg or both to sweep. It is also a shadow sweep. The opponent is watching my hands coming in and I am too close for him to see my leg intention.

Thanx for the interest. rate and subscribe for more.

  • @jaiharman1 What martial art is that sweep taught in? or is it a wing chun move or something you made? Never really seen anything like that. And I think that with your fighting style, your kinda vulnerable to JKD styled side kicks. Just an observation though, maybe youl adapt if fighting againts such a guy :) Oh yea, I added you some time ago on facebook hahaha
