I remember the day when Toronto, Canada had a tornado. It was really random but a powerful storm. It happened 10 minz after school was done and only touched down for only 20 sec and then stayed in the air for 2 hours.
um dude if its constantly lightning like that and the lights just got knocked out, its a pretty good time to go and take cover, the most obvious sign- TORNADO SIRENS.

how long ago was this? It couldn't have been that long ago though cause we had some bad storms like 1 or 2 weeks ago.
