Haha, this is pretty cool: Search for the song Breadcrumb Trail by Slint.. at 1:10 min in that song, the climax is very similar to the climax in like herod
@Sietenuevas Yeah this definitely isn't the full version. Not that I'm an expert. heard it for the first time today at my dad's tattoo shop, but I know for a FACT that it ended more intense than this.
@TheRealFatassFilms There's two versions of this song - this one and one call Like Herod (Jazz Up). I have the latter, which has a much longer, more distorted ending.
@Gosu117 I read interview to John who said that the former title was "Slint" but they decided to change it because they thought the citation was too clear
Saw them do this live about ten tears ago, and when the loud bit kicked in, it made blood burst out of my nose. Oh hang on, that was the back of the head of the person in front of me which caused that... Genius tune!
The thing about this song is that it's totally different live. Well, it's still like a crazy wall of sound, but the feedback somehow loops directly into your brain and makes sounds that just don't exist on the CD, or anywhere else!
I saw them perform this live in '98 when only John Peel knew about them, and it's still a treasured memory (even though Stuart Braithwaite bumped into me when he left the stage and I got covered in his sweat!)

@vietcongfistalpha1 I suggest "Washer" by Slint instead. The climax is even more orgasmic.

@townshipps I believe that this song was actually originally titled "Slint" and sorta mirrors their "Good Morning, Captain" song.
