@estiew2002 Yes. I think the writers did totally ruin them because they didn't believe in them and they didn't expect the two of them would become so popular. I think I started losing interest in the show when the writers clearly lost interest in Vanessa and Matt.

@ReneeDeborah I know what you mean. I started on GL around this time, and I loved Matt and Vanessa. They should have realized that an Older Woman/Younger Man Relationship could work. They ruined it the same way with Donna/Matthew on AW, and Sally/Clarke on B & B.

I love the banter between them. I, especially, like when she calls him 'Buster' and he laughs it off like 'who talks like that and uses a word like that?'.
