well Amebix and disorder were always one of my favorites besides DK. I think everyone in the punk scene just needs to accept one another because were all in it together and i mean were no different from each other, were all in it for the same cause. squatting isnt really conforming because theres still like .01% (exaggerated percentage) of the human population that squat, just because its a means of survival. you can base conformity off of our basic instincts...

The only disagreement that usually appears on this site is 1) the origin of punk in an English/US context (which people can debate as long as they like) and terms and degrees of anarchism. There is always a conflict here: true anarchism accepts the Other - whatever the differences - while Anti-Fascism rallies the True Anarchist to the Overt Action. It is a difficult dichotomy to overcome...
I recognise some guys here from the Amebix. Looks like Bristol squatters from the early to mid 80s. Shame in a way, all the same, that such a simplistic view of conformity and lack of it is shown here. Could be ironic even, seeing as there's a conformity in both groups of people shown, especially when you think about another DKs anti-conformity song, 'Chickenshit Conformist', which was an attack on the punk movement itself.
