um this is completly un fair yes the festiva is stock less hp but give that 5.0 v8 17 psi of boost and i garantee that if it held together it would smoke that 1.6 litre

since the 1.6 is pulling 220 hp and the stang will be pulling 750+ ish

@tacdriver22mk2 ya know although that may be true about 17 psi on a mustang v8 making alot more power. but the stock 5.0 will not handle 17 psi of boost. no way no how. this little 1.6 liter held 17-20psi completely stock.. nothing done to the motor internally. for the mustang 5.0 to do that you would have to forge the entire bottom end and use head studs along with a very very good tune. and please dont come back at me saying id ont know what im talking about. because i do.. i also own a

im buying a 89 323 gt whit a b6t engine turbocgarged.. the engine has 143ish hp and about 120ish of torque.. whit 7 psi.. all stock... so yes whit 17 psi and other modification i believe youve got to 210 easily, im myself going to tune it up whit an apexi .. gotta oversize the fuel injector and exhaust and boost the psi to around 15-17 .. im not a pro in car but my brother is.. il get ya feedback on how much hp and torque my little baby is gonna have

ACTUALLY! it is a mazda 121 with a FORD badge, that was assembled by Kia. It was FORDS attempt at emission credits in the 90's. The motor in this car is out of a mercury capri XR2.

Many festiva owners swap the engine to more powerful engines because it is cheap, easy, and makes the cars DAMN fast! Also, the brake lights never came on on that 'Stang. Lol it's cause the camera is capturing the frames in sync with the wheels, so it's catching the spokes in the same spot each time. That happens in a lot of videos.

As for the Festiva haters who've posted... The Festiva was designed by Mazda, built by Kia and had a Ford label slapped on when it hit the US... Ford had no involvement aside from the logo that it was badged with in the US... Look in any of the manuals at any of the parts stores, you'll see the Festiva listed as an IMPORT...

Premature engine failure because of the intake manifold? I have yet to see a single person's engine fail due to that and I've been around them since they were first sold in 1988... My dad's Festiva seemed to hit 275,000 miles with any major problems... I've seen other tons of other Festivas that have hit the 250k mark without any major engine problems as well...

im sry but i dont think its worth spending the time or money on a pos car like that. Ive never been a ford person.... and the "Festivia" is one of the reasons why. It was built like Ford didnt care and it shows. But than again the same goes for the chevy citation, it was also a pos.Dont get me wrong nice job on the high 11s... but chances are you will be working on this piece of shit more than u will be racing it.

nope why the fuck would I do any thing with a fucking piece of shit fiesta. The car was built so badly that almost all of them ive read have premature engine failure from warped intake manifods. well its a festiva. not a fiesta.. and i dont think 2500 bucks for price of car and all parts is a bad price. also it has full race suspention and can run high 11's if traction. but any ways doesnt matter. still a fun car. and the fact that it was a pos is why i did it.
