  • Thank you for posting this video, but could you please clarify the difference of subcorneal haemorrhage and acral melanoma?

  • my toenail fell off when I started jogging 2 years ago and regrew and now I have this thin black line that hasn't quite gone away since then. Could it just be congealed blood or a bruise, or should i follow up on it? I'm afraid even if I do go to a dermatologist they might misdiagnose it...

  • Thank you for posting this!

I just noticed today that I had subungal longitudinal melanonychia on my left thumb and both toes and was fretting over all the online research pointing at subungal melanoma. The lines I have are slightly less than 1 mm in width, light and uniform in color, and are parallel. No Hutchinson's signs on all 3 of them.

Right now I'm keeping an eye on it - waiting for my physical coming up to tell my doc. Pretty sure it's not cancerous, but I wonder what's causing it.
