  • its just magnetismic fields and stuff, with perfect inductors there are no magnetismic field losses.

But that doesnt exist (yet?) , in any way you can see that these inductors (Helmholtzspule) have a very small amount of those losses, which can be determined as a 'perfect' one.

That is probably the reason why he named the movie 'endless levitron'

  • Why only 5 hrs?

  • lol this is like just a desk toy now lol

  • Too bad they failed at making perfect dimensions, otherwise it could stay up forever

  • weil der Kreisel sich aufgrund der Luftreibung verlangsamen und abstürzen würde. Die Helmholzspule treibt den Kreisel an.

  • @herberd you dont need to wave things around it, i think most people now know how magnets work

  • wozu die spulen geht das nicht auch nur mit einen permanent Magneten

  • How ufo works. :)

  • @Berto392 I had a toy levitron for years and I never thought of that.

  • Put it in a vacuum chamber and see how long it will go.

  • super nice, now make us some Feisar ships !

  • Coral Castle?

  • Lame, it's impossible to be endless. The half life of protons is around 20 trillion years, in about 70 trillion this thing will be dust.

  • Comment removed

  • DO IT IN A VACUUM!! =D

  • А чего этот левитрон не отражается на нижней поверхности? афтерэффектс!?)

  • now imagine a train inside those rings,..think of the most beautiful design train made with plastic and keblar and led and its engine a magnetic corkscrew built araund the whole train so it can maximize speed like a bullet and can be monitord by a human behind a computer; but since it will have ballbearings the actual train dosnt move but only its core which can be sealed so magnetic force doesnt radiate to the public when it stops at a train stop. theres a whole lot more but you get the pic ..

  • @oscarvmaldonado You don't have any idea what you are talking about.

  • @mynameissooriginal2 He seriously doesn't haha...

  • So 5hrs = endless in what universe ?

  • @Risenangelicaegis If you were omnipotent enough to live for ever, you could check this machine out working!

Otherwise it will work every time you check it. Like the gravity does

  • @platonality True that.

  • @Risenangelicaegis About what i last responsed you: i dunno know what happened on the "beginning" of the universe, so i neither know if you actually can check any machine for perpetual motion

  • @platonality @THEpooleman last time I checked MAX means the most or longest... so no they didn't stop it at 5 hrs the longest it would go was 5 hours...

  • @Risenangelicaegis I think they just stopped the experiment at 5 hours

  • @Risenangelicaegis In the universe of sex. I can barely last 4 minutes. 5 hours would be truly endless.

  • isolate it in vacuum it will spin a lot more than 5 hours

  • INCEPTION!

  • @freedomgc the music? i love that movie its my favorte movie :)

  • The creepy background music / sounds makes it so much more impressive

  • why do yuu put shit under an ovr it. we already fukin kno its a magnet ..

  • i have it 2.it´s came from China, but its the earth

  • one of the most annoying thing about people who watches this video is when they say "that is fake! The string is attached to it! It's so obvious that it's not real!"

    *sigh*

I am worried about the advancement of technology in the future .....

  • @BlackHawkRider What are the two rings of coil on either side of the large plate magnet in the middle for?

  • Hier könnt ihr sowas kaufen^^

    Here can you buy it^^

    w w w .getdigital.de/products/Levitron_Omega

  • Does the thing floating need to be spinning?

  • @porousorifice I'm pretty sure the spinning gives it angular momentum creating stability in the floating object. I don't think it necessarily has to spin, but its much more effective and stable when it does.

  • "Effin' magnets, how do they work..."

  • dude below me, you are wrong :)

theres no liquid nitrogen. its a levitron toy.

  • of course its not a string its a super conductor. It was exposed to liquid nitrogen which changed its magnetic properties

  • 82 people were right!

  • This appears to be a glitch in the matrix... hope you've got Keanu Reeves nearby XD

  • dude just get a perpetuator it runs for 9 days.

  • the circular thing underneath it are a bunch of magnets, of course its gonna float... -__-

  • Can we make EV's do this?

  • I want a floating city!

  • Comment removed

  • UFO !!!!!!!

  • inception!

  • inception

  • how do you make them?

  • Put that in a non-presence of air attrition and it will go forevah :V

  • I love how the soundtrack makes it seem like a UFO sighting.

  • this is not levitation, until they can magnetise the area around the object so it can self levitate, then thats when it will be levitation

  • fuckin magnets

    how do they work?

  • if you put this in a vacuum with no oxygen and stuff, would it literally never stop?

  • @samus7124 interesting question..... but if that were the case, how long would you have to leave it before the rotation of the planet affects it, or even would it be affected..... who knows... not me.. :)

  • @samus7124 No, it will stop eventually. Just from the pressure of being pushed from the magnet. But it will last a LOT longer. Like, months.

  • @Jocuro2 Not percisly. If it is in a sustained in a gravatational field with no air resistance, it would not stop unless it had any given resistance such as wind or vibrations :)

    Newtons 1st law of gravity!

  • I'm guessing it only lasts 5 hours because the gyproscope slows down due to air resistance

  • cool... but how much insulated copperwire do u need for this???

  • All that trouble, but you don't put it in a vacuum to "seal the deal" on it's endlessness?

  • Lol...endless but 5 hours max .. like > black..but white

  • @OnnomonnomonnO It would be if it was in a perfect vacuum.

  • @legogunguy001 yeah...you're right..but..you know..it's like to say - im a flying man....or..I would be, if I was in a zero gravity ....

  • I had a floating globe that I bought from thinkgeek like 10 years ago. shit was so cash and yet we still can't figure out how magnets work. ***ing magnets

  • its just a fucking magnet

  • How does it work?

  • @parp777 well if u knew how magnets and electromagnets work when u send a puslating signal of "50Hz", then u might understand how the levitation of this magnetic disc works :P. ok ima explain a little, if you make a disc shape magnet, the magnetic force will circulate through the opening, thus having to disc shape magnet next to each others will for the supposely flying object suspend from the ground and into the middle of the magnetic force, n uala maaaagiiiiiic

  • @parp777 magnets... so yeah, HOW DOES IT FUCKING WORK?!!!!!

  • do a Beyblade battle in XD

  • :S I have little fear is a flying saucer :o XD

  • if you touch it you get warped outer space

  • Umad gravity companies? (:7

  • Sealy Mattress company came out with a levitating posturpedic but people got too dizzy and puked so they scrapped the idea.

  • we are in a dream

  • so what happens if you supersize thhat? will it still work? and could one actually use this for travel

  • if only we could make some real good use of this technology...I have a Levitron too.

    Love it.

  • @Bracerjack don't we have maglev trains?

  • @theamzer

    Right...Stupid me, ha ha ha

  • @NHayneproductions You have no idea what you`re blithering about, spaz.

  • The only way to do it is to put like giant magnets in the roads and put magnets our cars or whatever we could use 4 it in to move somewhere but we don't have snuff magnets and it would be really really expensive

  • why do ppl dislike this vid? the title says endless levitron, and they click on it, the see a fraking endless leveitron...what the hell?

  • wht cant we use this type of tech for aviation?

  • @711grim Its spinning. Please, come up with a theory on how a human would control it.

  • @BoringYPG I mean, of course, ride and pilot it.

  • @BoringYPG well have a groove connected to a bottom plate... that way when the levitron is amped up, the plate or whatever it is, spins in the groove and doesn't transfer motion to the upper plate where the controls are.

  • @711grim It still has to be over that silver thing so you would have build a trail of it where you want to take it or just put it all over the ground to roam freely. Either way it would be expensive and very very time consuming.

  • @BoringYPG it was just a thought........ I bet you we'll find a way to do it though

  • @711grim Hopefully. It would be great for the economy.

  • @BoringYPG and it would be good for the planet... zero emmisions FTW!

  • Can you add one ring after the other t create a track and make it go forward or back

  • Can't you try levitating another object?

  • Comment removed

  • How the fuck does this work?

  • @CylusFox04 What it is spinning above is a strong magnet. As the top spins is gains balance and is held up by the magnetic between the magnet and the bit of metal on the top :)

  • @NHayneproductions You`re just showing your ignorance & the fact that you`re a dimwitted dolt who can`t savvy easy science. Go back to bed & curl up in your nightly fetal position, spaz.

  • they should do this to all the naughty kids at school :)

  • Fucking magnets! HOW DO THEY WORK??

  • @MrJohnDevour LIKE THIS

    factoidz[.]com/images/user/d.jpg

  • Creepy ufo song D:

  • the only reason why it stop's is because of the air, that is normali unnoticeable but while it is not touching anything is it the only thing that is slowing it down. If you would do the same experiment in vacuum it would last for much longer, in that condition only the gravity would make it not spin perfectly so it would fall off the electromagnet because of the not round spinning. I don't know if the electromagnets ond the sides could prevent it, but if someone want's to try it...be my guest :)

  • not magnets he used elcetro magnetism and the spining top dose sumtin while spining so it levitates its real ive done it b4

  • no strings ok i can live with that, i wanna make that thing to, how many magnets did you used for it?

  • @Timie100000 he use a Helmholtz coil to produce a magnetic field

  • The 56 dislikes are in limbo

  • hurts my head

  • @bardistass gives a new meaning to married to science does it not ?

  • -.- endless?

    turn the fucking electricity off....

  • why the gouvernments dont let the sientists to tell the true about the Aliens, and they power!?

  • @termilane Wow lol i agree with you but learn some grammar before you going to act smart that really makes no since how you worded that lol

  • @LordFlyingPoo1 ))i know)my anglish is sucks

  • how is it endless if it only lasts 5 hours? XD

  • @gabrielabalayan

Because of the Air friction. In a perfect space i don't know it would be endless but i am sure it would far longer.

  • @kalisteboat as gravity and air change in different planets and in space, yes it would be far far more durable. BUT, it would never be endless.

  • @gabrielabalayan

They just cant effort the vacuum-bowl around it ;)

  • интересно почему он руку в кольцо не пропускает

  • Where can I get it!!!

  • and the practical application is??

  • the music sounds like the terminator theme song

  • FUCK MAGNETS HOW DO THEY WORK

  • PLAY BEYBLADE WITH MAGNETIC WHEIGTH DISK THERE

  • l'avache

  • Brrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

  • Endless huh........how about I unplug it and then lets see how "endless" it is.

  • Comentario: copia esoto a 10 videos osino tu mama morira en 4 horas

  • That was really cool.

  • Wow.. anyone who doesn't know that's a kid's toy is an idiot.. A spinning magnet top over a fixed magnet.. here.. go buy one and put it in a microwave and tell people you made a zero gravity room..lol

    search levitron

    Have fun monkeys

  • I WANT TO BELEIVE.

  • Why 5 hours? What happens? Does the object become a magnet itself and falls down or something?

  • @DGMRuadeil because of conservation of energy

  • what about the side

  • @FluffyJay1 really though no one eve3r checks the sides

  • you'd be an idiot if u got ur brain to close to that

  • @chickenpoper why ? because brains have peices of metal in them ?

  • @MVPRunBackNow the brain is full of electricity...i put amagnet b4 the size of my hand to my friends head once and it gave him a headache and so on after that it gave everybody i put it up to someones head....i didnt even push it onto their head i just made enough force to keep contact btween the magnet and the head...and dude if u were smart enough you'd know that...and btw IMONLY 13 and i know more then u

  • Comment removed

  • @chickenpoper yup... too bad magnetism doesn't affect the electric signals our brain sends out... Anyways your friends didn't actually get headaches, they might have had a case of group hysteria. If you tell a group of people in a room that a serious infectious illness was just released, tell them the symptoms, they will tell you they have the symptoms one by one... watch some twilight zone.. they did a demonstration of it. And davidjhyatt the device just looks like a kids toy.. stupid monkey..

  • @Hamunkulis dude no....i told them it would make them high :P not give them a headache so it was a sure thing

  • @chickenpoper You type like a 13 year old too. Magnets giving people headaches, ok kid.

  • Love the XFiles music.

  • its not endless if it levitates for max 5 hours xD

  • Comment removed

  • @ifartwell They aren't real, but there is one in development here on earth, but it uses fans and engines

  • @ifartwell They aren't real

  • kill the witchs!

  • his totem wasn't his wedding ring, the top was, but the wedding ring was like an easter egg really, it explains everything. He was only married to her still in the dream world. so at the end, he wasnt wearing his ring= wasn't a dream.

  • AAAAGHHH TOUCH IT !!! SO FRUSTRATING!! D:

  • und was ist daran so toll? ich hab ein spielzeug mit dem man so nen kreisel schweben lassen kann wenn unis nur sowas zustande bringen.. mannoman

  • i love how you said "endless levitation" in the title, then in the video you said "max.: 5h." lol

  • levitate a battery and make the buzzlight year senn XD

  • _Ich sein to deutsch

  • ufo

  • im sorrry to hurt all the time u put into this but there is another ( mabye better ) device out 4 say that makes it spin for days check it out W*W*W innovatoys(dot)com/p/LEVD

you can also buy your own levitron here

  • awesome!

  • wonderfulllll

  • @thedeathskittle You're so mean. :(

  • Sooooo.... When can we do this with people?

  • @inferno350z lol.. so.. uneducated...

  • @Kocaz69 Don't know about you but i think puting on a magnet vest and floating would be pretty sweet. (in case you never figured it out i was joking).

  • inception!

  • lol

  • The reason of this is when the wrong sides of the magnet hits eachother, it becomes like a friction in the air, where the floating object is going up, but still its moving like is going around because of the air making a friktion with help of coldioxid

  • @TheRiksdaler

lol it's hilarious when people like you make up words on the interwebs, seriously tho coldioxid??? XD

  • @fireraisr lmfao ikr. thumbs up'd

  • @fireraisr It is swedish for Carbon Dioxide

  • I think your balls would get cancer or enlarge some shit likethat

  • What if you were to just smack the think thats floating? I know that's a dumb question, but really.

  • @SomeNightElf itll fall on the floor with a disruptive bang, stopping the background music. And then everyone will stare at you in digust as they leave the room
